    No, I think we've just read a lot of the same futurists and SF writers. I've seen Ignition, but I wouldn't say it had any particular influence on my own work.

    I read your books over the Christmas holidays. I enjoyed them and can't wait for the next ones.

    That said, the plot twist in Perilous Waif was visible a mile off once the Kami War was discussed.

    I looked at Perilous Waif but it seems like it's the first book in it's series but not the first in the verse or time line. Can you lay out how you books go so I know which is the first to read? I hate trying to read a book only to fine out it's book two and I ruined myself for book one.

    Perilous Waif is the only book I've written in that setting, so read away. Anything else I write in that universe will either be a sequel, or a completely different storyline intended to be read after this one.

    I'm trying to buy it but it seem to want me to get a kindle unlimited subscription before I can get it. Is it sold any else were I can get just the book and nothing else? Or would I need the paperback?

    It sounds like you're clicking the wrong button. Amazon tries to get people to buy Kindle Unlimited, but it isn't necessary - there should be an option to just buy the book and nothing else.

    Do you have any recommendations for stories which blend fantasy with more realistically handled feudalism like yours tend to? I've been craving more seriously handled feudalism of late and been disappointed by a lot of stories making it practically Disney style.

    Bought Fimbulwinter. I read the first six chapters on fictionpress first, not sure if you realized you had those up there. It's quite good. A little wish fulfillment, but still quite interesting.

    Heh well selfishly I want to talk about it but a series of profile posts is kind of awkward. The whole series was really good though. I ended up spending a day just looking for anything similar unsuccessfully.

    Half my immediate thoughts is on how to build a bigger self sustaining city with the same footprint though.
