    Any word on the second Alice Long book? I know you put a few early chapters up on here but that was a long time ago and there's been nothing about it since. Perilous Waif is one of my favourite books so I really want to see more.

    I've gotten back to work on it in recent months, but it's slow going. Writing a chapter of Alice is probably 3-5 times more work than something like A Broken Apocalypse, and I need to put out at least one chapter of something every week or so to keep things afloat.     shaper, I'm reading the Daniel black books for the fourth time now and I'm wondering something. when Hecate isekaid Daniel, did he leave behind a physical corpse for the hospital staff to find? what I read seemed to say that his body disappeared as well but if he wanted to fake his death and leave a corpse behind, would Hecate be able to create a new body for him?

    Nah, she just grabbed his body and healed it when she summoned him. That's a lot less trouble than making a whole new body. As for body swapping trickery, yes, she could pull of things like that if she wanted to. But she'd be doing it with ritual magic through her aspects, which is the kind of thing gods like Odin are familiar with. So there's no guarantee it would actually work out.

    but she could create a brain-dead clone of his body right when she approached him? is that within her power or does the nature of Daniel's home reality limit her power somehow? Also, according to the original deal, if Daniel is successful in protecting cerise for however long was agreed, did that mean Daniel had the option to go back home with his powers or will his home reality nerf it somehow?

    I've intentionally left the limits of divine power vague, and said even less about why Daniel's world doesn't seem to have magic. But nothing was ever said about sending Daniel home. Hecate doesn't want to risk multiple trips to another Earth, and Daniel wasn't especially interested in going back anyway.

    Read up on Jungles of Alabama over on RR, very well written stuff, unlike some commenters there I liked the world-building and the MCs musings why humans are different. Also seeing a work free of woke garbage was also very refreshing. I have more to say but I'll save the details for when you come back.

    Not sure if you intend to keep writing but Moon Shot was a treat. Reminded me a lot of Seven Eves if you know it. Same Moon scenario, same frantic rush to save at least someone... except here things are worse ofc bcs Worm. The writing is without flaws and the action pace unrelenting.

    All in all great stuff and I hope you come back to it, but even if not best of luck to your and your future endeavours.

    @noblej7 I did not misspell, it is called Seveneves (though it is one word it seems). It is a SciFi novel and you could find it in the usual places, and unusual ones too if you know what I mean.

    My first thought was to think if you changed it recently but fanfiction.net says it hasn't been changed since 2011. Which is awhile ago. Although, maybe I am just remembering badly and she gets re-brainwashed and that is the part I am thinking of. It has to have been like 6-7 years or more since I last read it

    So, I kind of psyched myself out and am a little confused in regard to you time braid story. I started reading it recently but had a deja vue feeling which makes me decently sure I read it before. Or at least a very similar story. But I thought the main character getting brainwashed was a multi-chapter thing rather than just one and remember it being much scarier as well..

    It could start out with a more established base, allowing the character to branch out more since the basics are already handled. Or, start from even less, needing to take more active measures to gain resources, and having less things to keep track of since the character doesn't have much.     ANoYO is delight to play. Problem is, it's damn mess to reread after the fact. Finding evolved world-building is a compound chore, as usual I hate the fact that vote results are undiscoverable so I got no idea how we got there from where we started. Lewd scenes are nice.
    I think my main gripe could be summarized as "story is told in the thread holistically, not in threadmarked elements"

    It's a really deep and complex world that is hard to compress down into the threadmarked elements. That being said I'm not sure I agree that the story is spread through the thread. You won't necessarily understand the strategic choices without the thread, but I don't think there's really character elements outside the threadmarks or anything like that.

    How's that going? Personally all of my writing gets stuck with only partial chapters finished, or with serious plotting issues that make me reluctant to post the chapter or two I actually finish, so I can hardly complain when other people run into issues.
