The Dark Side eventually consumes them all and ruins everything they wanted to save and preserve. It is inevitable, as long as the Fallen keep deceiving themselves that they need the Dark Side. Naz, Bo-Katan, his baby, Mandalore itself, Anakin... all doomed.

Agree and disagree, George did many great things and has explained it thoroughly of how it works (though while thoroughly also confusingly), the problem is that he has stated that there is no balance and yet he says if you're to much to one side then you're unbalanced.

The prophecy of the siths destruction is fine the sith aren't the dark side, the same with the prophecy of the fall of the Jedi (the siths chosen one iirc that also exists) which is also fine as the Jedi aren't the light side.

George said the light is love, compassion, selflessness, etc. and the dark is hatred, pain, suffering, selfishness, etc. both of this is seen in eastern and western philosophy (Taoism and other such eastern beliefs, and the western (or Cherokee legend but also has relation to Aristotle and others) a grandfather tells his grandson the story that two wolves inside us (which iirc is a new world/native American origin which has/had lost part of it) it goes there is two wolves fighting inside of us one is good, love, compassion, etc and the other bad, hate, anger, rage, etc (much like George's view on the force actually) now it ends in the one that wins is the one we feed the most(which would indicate they are fighting for control and one will win, and hence not in balance)however it's not the complete phrase/philosophy or rather there is an extended version, the complete phrase/philosophy has this but also, it has the grandfather tell his grandson that he should feed both wolves as if he neglects one and starves it (in most cases the bad one) it becomes resentful, vengeful and will hurt you and others as it becomes hidden, but feed both and control and use both and your complete and balanced but your ticking as you can tip the scales and its constant to be managed.

(Much like the golden mean by Aristotle's Virtue Ethics (example being anger isn't necessarily bad, as to not have anger means your passive and unable to defend yourself, too much and your a tyrant, have just enough at the right time, used in the right way (the right degree of use) and with the right person (actually an example of this could very well be Plo Koon and his use of force lightning turned into force judgment when punishing (iirc either slavers or pirates/raiders) but anyway basically the whole there is no balance both does and doesn't make sense, if he means while you can have balance but it's a constant management then yeah it makes sense but it's still technically a balance and you can indeed use the dark side without falling but still have the Potential to fall, if he means there is no balance at all and you can't use the dark side at all (i.e. use your hatred, anger or whatever in a controlled effective way) then it doesn't work, it doesn't make sense as if you become too selfless (too in the light side) you will either become either a pushover/people pleaser (and never be happy and make enemies by trying to please everyone and upsetting others when please another) or you'll become apathetic both of which are bad.
