    This man... He makes you nervous. It's something about the way he looks, about the way he moves... Even the way he speaks sounds oily and unpleasant. You don't trust him.

    "No, thank you." At Rose's glance, you shake your head. "Like you've said- We're doing well enough on our own. We don't need charity."

    Arthur raises an eyebrow, then smiles and shakes his head. "I see. Well if you ever change your mind, I'm always looking out for boys and girls like yourself. Think about it." He turns and walks away, ducking into an alley a ways down the road.

    "Ah, what'd you do that for?" Rose sighs. "We could have had a house to stay in, and real beds to sleep on!" At your shrug, she shakes her head. "Well, I suppose we'll have to make do for now."

    The rest of the year passes by without anything of note happening. You do see Arthur about here and there, occasionally talking to other young boys and girls- But you don't see anything really condemning. To all appearances, he is simply fond of young people. And yet... Something about him still sends shivers down your spine.

    Year 5 end.
