General chat thread

Are we allowed to make a thread to ask opinions on what setting i should make a Quest in (Recently started a Worm Quest but want to get practice writing in other settings as well)

If so, where would we do that?

NSFW Q&R Index has an "Interest Check & Idea Thread" and "General Quest Discussion , Recommendations, Requests and QM Advice" thread

The way people I know talk about Mint Sauce, you'd imagine a bottle of Mint Sauce personally killed their families.

I have discovered that balsamic vinegar is, in fact, quite tasty and makes for a great condiment.
It's great! I use it for canned ravioli to improve the flavor, as a component for salat sauces, and you can dip bread in it as @Stormwalker detailed. Made the mistake of eating an undiluted tablespoonfull once, not gonna repeat that.

My preference is to pour it into a shallow dish with olive oil and dip bread into it.
Yeah, sometimes I do that when I'm feeling peckish.

I also got a bottle of balsamic cream, orange flavored. It's thick like a syrup but great to pour on food. Tried it with some leftover chicken and fries, added great flavor and brought a cold and stale dish back to life.

Sounds like interesting stuff. I've personally tried making my own sauces before, not easy and generally something I wouldn't recommend unless you're really willing to practice and get the right stuff down. Plus it's sometimes not worth the effort.

Also apologies if I'm jumping into this conversation randomly, love talking about cooking stuff from time to time.

anyone else having issues with opening their account page and their alerts and stuff? It just shows the loading circle and nothing happens. My alerts page says the page could not be loaded... I have tried everything. resetting the router, clearing my cache, flushing my DNS, disabling any/all adblockers(that have never had an issue before)...

the tabs with the stories I was reading are still open and working, the Thread search and all that still works... but the account page and the Alerts page(on my account page) do not want to open/work...

Just watched "The End of Oak Street." It was a pretty decent movie, although the first 10-15 minutes were rough to sit through due to movie using this to establish the characterization of the cast. Said cast initially comes off as somewhat unlikable, with the movie going out of its way to establish their flaws right off the bat, before walking that back somewhat later on. Once they've been characterized, however, the movie throws the entire neighborhood back in time, and the rest of the movie is them trying not to get eaten alive by dinosaurs (which the main cast are only mostly successful at, but their very unfortunate neighbors are absolutely terrible at). Notably, while not completely absent of gore, especially with people who were already corpses when they appear on screen, the movie makes use of the gory discretion shot, often cutting away as people get killed. The movie also doesn't use many jump scares, preferring instead to show things sneaking up on people on camera while the characters themselves remain oblivious until the last second. Shockingly, the movie has a happy ending, with a cut to two years later and everything being back to normal, at least for everyone who didn't get trapped in the past, and the main cast being portrayed as relatively well off with a new house in a different neighborhood (their old one went back in time and never came back).

Overall, I'd say it's worth a watch.

Wasn't there a whole tv show about this way, way back?

Is this on QQ? If so, are you still having this issue?
