Hi, as of this post, I have yet to get an avatar, but I am interested in posting here in terms of my fanfic. I understand if my Hero Penal Unit one for Code Geass, I am not 100% sure if it would be skirting the lines about rule 8 of the forums' rules. As it does contain some heavy topics, I have yet to complete the first chapter. If staff feel like that fanfic might be hitting a little too close to Rule 8 violation, they can cease and desist it on QQ if they need to. Or do I just need to put a disclaimer that it is a work of fiction and not correlated to anything that is happening right now?

Rule 8 mostly doesn't apply to stories, just out-of-story posts; I've only ever seen the former be both blatant and inflammatory enough with their reference to a current political event to be in violation once, I think. Just avoid using the names of living RL people, and you should be fine, which shouldn't be too hard in the universe of Code Geass.

Post the first chapter of the fic in the Code Geass general thread here:

Then, create a thread for the story after that advertisement.

And real world style issues in fictional settings are generally no big deal.
 
My grandmother hires some foreign girl to help her around, and apparently said girl is utterly devoted to some illiterate alcoholic that beats and mooches off her.

It's the first time I've started to wonder whether maybe the old folks had a point about that parental marriage veto thing. Teenage girls, from all accounts, seem to be physically incapable of avoiding red flags.

I do have another Code Geass Isekai Idea surrounding 3d printing combat capable KMFs and tanks as well as small arms as a concept. As it's implied in akito the exiled to exist in some form or another.

Not really, the place is still having problems because of some db fuckup probably caused by all those tags.
I checked their bluesky account, and down detector,mlots of people are having issues,mnot just me.

They really need to rethink the way they do tags.
 
Finally got around to switching to a new tablet, since Apple decided my old one should no longer have the option of updating its software, after which all my apps slowly stopped working as more and more updates required the current version of iPadOS. Switched over to an Android for this one. Which is different, and I'm not sure I like all the differences, but I'm pissed enough at Apple not to care.

Lost my whole music library in the process, unless I'm willing to pay Apple $10 a month to retain access to the songs I already bought. Which sucks, but I'm not giving that company another damn cent.

It also sucks that I lost the pages app I'd been using to write, but for now I'm making due with Simplenote. As long as I can put text down that I can copy and paste into a browser later, I should be fine.

Anyway, the tablet itself was pretty cheap. Less than $100, and it came with a case, a mouse, a keyboard, and a stylus. The keyboard is crap, so I'm sticking with my previous one, but it's nice being able to use a mouse again. ...Even if I'm mostly sticking to using the touch screen anyway.

At one time it was possible to use Apple's app to convert iTunes music into MP3 or whatever so you could put them on other devices -- I have done this, so I know it used to work.

See if that's still a feature (perhaps hidden).
 
Hey is there a way to get alerts for new thread marks for people that I follow?
Only way I found is manually checking writers pages or remembering their user name or PFP when looking for a new story. There must be a better way than that.
 
is there any way to search for fics by sorting for most watches? like somehow search Naruto (or any other fandom) into keywords/tags and then see all the fics with the most watches. It doesn't have to be super exact I like reading most fandoms so if my Naruto search came back with a dxd fic with a lot of watches that mentioned Naruto once id be totally fine with that.

if this is the wrong thread sorry, just let me know and ill ask somewhere else

Yes. Find a thread in the forum you're planning to search with the tag you're looking for, then click that tag. This will open up a tag search for that specific tag within the forum. On this page, find where it says filter and click that. You'll get a pop-out menu for filters. Scroll down, and near the bottom of the filter's menu, there's a dropdown menu that says "Sort by:". One of the options is Watchers. Select that option, then click Filter to filter the tag search by the number of watchers.

Relevant thread. When setting up the search bookmark as described, you can tick 'threadmarked content only'.
 
I did post an idea for a post ibo fanfic. Its in the gundam fics and recs thread if anyones curious about it.
