I don't think I ever posted the snippet I made for a Seattle story here

Terrible cold seeped into the creature's limbs wherever it ran or flew over the metal and stone that had overtaken the landscape. Inhuman physicality and gifts from the heart's blood animating the corpse let it leap, speed, and fly from spires that reached higher than any ship's sail, castle keep, minaret, or church spire.

Bare toes left spiderweb cracks on wet, cold stone when it flung itself from a high tower. The creature hurtled into a narrow space far below, slipped between buildings and arrested its force in midair. Anyone who looked up would see a figure hang in the air like a marionette on strings.

It fell on a source of warmth, sunk fangs in, moved to the next that had let out a shriek of terror.

More blood filled its mouth. Faint sounds grew to startling clarity. Countless machines buzzed around the city, inside the buildings, screeching across winter roads.

A voice the occupants of the body had heard, noticed, listened to in their slumber was recounting a tale to the tune of a string instrument.

"And then from the gates, I hear him calling calling. 'My Princess don't despair A hero's come to free you.'"

"His eyes bleed hard with hope, as I wave smiling smiling. I clutch my chest and cry 'my hero, save me won't you?'"

"My heart is pounding breathless, To know a hero is on the way. My knight in shining armor, whose courage pushes the dark away."

An unsated void was left where the strength afforded by dozens of mortals should be.

Snow went in all directions when the creature heard food move across the way. Fingers hooked through ribs better than any tool, then wrenched bone to bring blood to its mouth. Uncharacteristic weight burdened its chest, ladened its limbs, left the creature's body too weak.

It was still hungry.

Always, eternally hungry.

The snow at its feet was stainless white despite the corpse that lay there.

Much of its power was gone. Not just the Fortitude and Celerity afforded to the body by effort and consuming others of its kind, but its Potence was lesser.

It was so hungry.

Another part of the corpse struggled to come to consciousness, to take the reigns of the power which now animated it. Deeper, scattered, bound within its burning limbs was a third which did not belong.

"I've been watching him climb. Only for me, that fact alone is motivation.

But it can't be. He took a blow against the dragon. He's bleeding free, just counting time until he weakens."

A brief moment saw the body's original occupant plant one foot in front of the other, turning away from the melody. The corpse sprinted, blood flowing, strengthening it far past the limits of humanity yet still far slower than what it should be capable of.

It ran faster than the screeching metal outside, a word for it which the corpse's animate body did not care to remember. Already near the outskirts Original One attempted to fling the body well away from the most savory meal available.

Fire burned where their blood had been stolen and branded upon them. Forces other than the beast, its soul, the attendant, and fragments burrowed within its form took momentary control. The elder monster's body was pulled along with strings by those lesser than it, those who wished to feast upon a heart that had devoured hundreds, if not thousands in war.

"Heroes like he that fell before him, can't bear to see. That might explain why tears are falling.

But then I hear his voice. He's even laughing, laughing. 'Don't worry Princess Such a scratch could never stop me.'"

Righted, the corpse sped to the one who called to it with feeling.

Powers of Control and Madness found their barbed hooks tear free and lines go loose. The corpse ran, then leapt, then flew faster than an arrow. Nothing would stop it as the corpse would even scurry when it had to navigate strange narrows or crash through stone with a battering ram's force.

Cracks rang through the night.

Fiery projectiles lit up the dark for the scantest seconds. They dug through the corpse's threadbare rags. Each smoldered in its chest with heat that set it aflame.

The Elder heard the clicks of the weapon again, traced the path of prior attacks, sighted a man in dark clothing with a weapon it had vague memory of.

"Finally caught up with ya, damn geezer."

Metal was torn from a building which had an abundance of it. The Elder's makeshift spear flew true.

Its opponent lacked the time to react as sheer strength imparted more speed than the interloper had the ability to dodge properly at this distance. Vitae fell on snow.

'He's rushing up the stairs. His armor ringing ringing. Its sound is like a bell that sets my soul afire.'

The Elder longed for another more. Shadows drew the vampire melt into darkness to seek out its desire.

=The Soon To Be Fledgling, Anna=
__unica_la_speranza_re_d_cherish_drawn_by_honda_tamanosuke__67b192250516ca333f0d3343c1d0d78a.png

Retuning a guitar for the fifth time, Anna nursed the hangover of the Rich and Famous without having that status. Her skull had an entire construction crew working overtime inside while she twisted knobs of her recently cleaned instrument.

The atrocious snowstorm had seen roads closed and enough detours that it was stupidly late by the time she'd broken into the rundown venue of her not so legal gig.

It had been as an opener for Phyre, a band that presumed a Ph and y would make a name both copyrightable and cool while forgetting about how it sounded like a failed festival.

Well, they could work a crowd if they were black out drunk.

Both parties, not just the perpetual state of most bands. Anna had been working on her blood alcohol level by the time she heard the tenth off-key note. The whole thing had to be way worse for her bandmates.

She couldn't imagine being the one who composed a new song just to hear those guys follow up with that mess.

Wood creaked overhead in the crack house hotel. Whatever renovation they were trying to do hadn't kept out the meth, cocaine, fentanyl, or whatever the hell it was the people above were shooting up, snorting, and probably leveraging into their veins by popping themselves open with chisels. How this place even had sections of running water and electricity was a wonder of misused money and probable lead poisoning.

Weird that the place still had copper wiring.

"My heart is pounding breathless, to know a hero is on the way. My knight in shining armor, whose courage pushes the dark away."

She riffed a few lines. Anna wasn't a composer and sung from her roommate's playlist. Anna hadn't enjoyed the stories of 'we've all got to become friends and everyone's misunderstood' that came from the same guy.

The acoustics in this basement were terrible. Most of the trash around hadn't even been from the party. What little it had was protection from the wind and a relative lack of water.

Losing her guitar while drunk enough to enter a mini-coma wasn't her best moment. Anna was just glad her bandmates had loaded her into the truck. There was a reason she made sure to have the keys on her, it meant nobody could leave her behind.

Shadows made fun of her, flickering in the little light the room had.

"But then I see him stumble, onto the trap that marks his end. And whisper, 'thank you my dearest friend.'"

A lightbulb went out.

"My face is flush with fear-"

Solid vanta-black seized Anna.

It outright pitched into the black while the absurd color took on an inky, wet quality. Pools of shadows reached into the air.

A pale figure staggered out. A blood drenched corpse with four bullet holes burning in its chest, a wet sheen to its fingers where it had flecks of gore underneath fingernails, and a completely spotless mouth with ruby red lips. In complete contrast was the red all about its chin and wherever the monster's tongue couldn't reach.

Her heart went pounding.

She couldn't do anything but watch the bullet holes in the corpse sizzle. Atrocious sounds of wetness and the stench of burning flesh brought tears to Anna's eyes. The staggering corpse cupped her face, almost gently as the floor rang. Each of the bullets were forced out with a loud, sharp, ding while they continued to sizzle.

A beautiful, gaunt, terrifying man cupped her cheek, let it stay there before slipping it down to rub his thumb over her clavicle with enough force her bones creaked. Anna's heart kept on pounding against her ribcage.

White knuckles tightened around her guitar for a swing.

Fangs plunged into her throat.

=The Wanderer, Luca=
__la_manchaland_s_don_quixote_project_moon_and_2_more_drawn_by_kaname_ruri__sample-39ac1e50ce5dcba238c720efd6b3dcc0.jpg

Memories cut open the Elder's haze of bloodlust.

The tax of blood which saw him torn from home, cut in body, and divorced from every tradition and remnant of the life he'd known. The boys he'd grown up with and circled around to gather any memory of their home. Nightly prayers.

Being dragged through mountainsides by a horse until his back was ribbons.

Having to kiss the cudgels that beat him.

Music played in war.

His sire's fangs.

Countless faces of the dead flit through his memories, the human, the Kindred, and other supernatural beings up until the Great War and the choking, burning ash. The final spell of a hateful Baali once his Nephandi compatriots died under the spell and claw of an unlikely coalition.

Luca came to himself with the vaguest memories of rage, pain, and comfort from his time in torpor. He cradled a limp body of a young woman. Parts of her clothes were materials he did not recognize.

No pulse sent life through her veins. A guitar of colorful make was gripped in her hand.

Regret shot its arrow.

He bit his wrist. Vitae transubstantiated by his heart flowed back within the woman. In mere moments there was vitality in the corpse. A pale hand took the proffered wrist while the other gripped her instrument to the point that wood creaked. Her face buried itself in his arm with hungry slurps.

Luca took in his surroundings. Brickwork, wood, metal piping of a basement that had gone to rust and ruin. Trash, discarded bottles, broken crates, and ever yet more refuse littered an area which bore a makeshift stage. Water pooled in various brown puddles that stank like sewage. Light poured within the basement through narrow windows.

Not the worst venue. Luca's experience in the Janissaries and as a pirate had plenty worse.

Nassau had been a true wonder for Clan Lasombra. Drunkenness was a problem, though it made many in his Clan agreeable.

Still.

Luca flexed one hand. Strange markings scored his limbs and body. Movement brought flares of pain worse than if he'd been branded. Strength which should be his did not come forth. His clothes were a formless white shift that did not belong to him.

Someone had taken the time to mark him, but had either a feeling of shame that saw him clothed or ritualistic desires to dress him up as a sacrifice.

His newborn Childe let out a gasp. More blood than a human body could contain left her cheeks as pink as a child of Seth. Luca would need to investigate the toll taken when The Beast seized his body from Torpor.

Amends must be made.

Luca cleared dirt from a box to lay his Childe down. He made sure the guitar was safe from the muck and water before taking in more of the room. windows on the inside of the building were boarded up for some reason. Chain-link gates had been set, again, for purposes he could not fathom.

Countless boxes, corrugated pieces of metal, an errant ladder, and more littered a hovel that his Nosferatu compatriots would sneer at. Maintenance was not in the vocabulary of those who owned this place of squalor.

Yet, there were yet more materials he was unfamiliar with. Pallets of wood were topped with a waterproof tarp of unknown make alongside a thick envelope bearing plastic lining both inside and out.

The odd material on the inside made various small pops from even the slightest force. Within were American twenty-dollar bills. Many were crisp while others had beaten, stained paper. Various changes from what Luca was familiar with were accounted for, but the most notable was a note.

Series, 2021 was the most recent.

Over a hundred years had gone by while he slept.

A note within the envelope read:

'No paycheck for your friend this week. you tell him, we see him snooping upstairs again and he'll lose something real valuable.'

Whatever place this was had been used for criminal activity. Not necessarily his people's.

The nearby door creaked open, a man with an electric hand torch stood in a hall filthier than even this room. An older man, perhaps a grandfather, looked at Luca with surprise, then a flicker of surprise before settling on concern. "Hello? Friend, are you all right?"

The guard tilted his head, holding the light back behind him to better see Luca's form.

Luca must have been the very vision of a tortured prisoner between the strange clothing, deep burns or otherwise gouged flesh, and blood on him.

Hunger cried out to gorge.

He shut the Beast within a tower, sealing it behind him as it should.

"Thank you good sir." Luca's voice came out dry, cracked. He had doubtlessly swallowed dust, and perhaps cloth when the Beast flew about. "I only recently escaped." A squeeze of his hand made flesh crack open to show more of the terrible wounds. "I do not know who they were, but they bound me, and cut me, and put me in this garb for a ritual. I do not know what they believe, but they dragged a poor girl here as well."

The electric light turned once Luca pointed to his child, her mouth was was red with his Vitae.

"My God." The man stumbled over the debris to reach her, shining the light over the woman to check her for wounds. "She is cold, not clammy. The wind from those windows can't be helping though. Can you help me carry her?"

Vitae spun within his veins. It moved in the shape of Presence. Will projected outward only for the blood to turn sluggish.

Teeth clicked together. Blood reversed, subtlety lost in favor of his natural Dominate. "Good sir," Two fingers went up to eye level, guiding the man's gaze to be transfixed with Luca's own. "You will forget this encounter and return to whatever compatriots you might have to say you found nothing but large rats. It was quite terrible but nothing of particular note."

The kind man gave a nod with not a thought between his ears.

Little effort was necessary for Luca to sharpen his senses. The nice man strode through the door, closed it behind him and spoke with another man who might have been the intended recipient of the package Luca had found.

He did a quick count of eight hundred dollars, considered what that might actually be worth as it seemed a large amount in his era, and turned to the sleeping Childe. "Now, to find shelter."

Agony sent Luca to his knees. Violet light scorched his body from within. Vitae smoked out of the gruesome wounds. He forced himself up whilst a sharp pain scrambled his vision.

"Huh," An unfamiliar voice rang out in his mind. "That's not my voice not my mouth its coming out of either. I know the back of my hand like the back of my hand, and that's not my hand."

Children of Malkav.

"Silence. Should this be one of your pranks your entrails shall be cut out and crafted into vines to decorate the walls while your broken body lay pinned to the floor, ribcage cracked open to hold a bouquet of flowers that shall feast upon your vitae."

The voice went quiet for all of a second before the irritating tone continued. "Oh, you can hear me. Uhhhh….good evening. Sorry, I seem to be in your head."

Either a Malkavian was playing a prank, or the Beast had done the most idiotic act possible and diablerized a Malkavian.

The latter did not rule out the former.

Close to any other Cainite that died by his fangs and had their heart's blood join his would be far more welcome company. His dearest wife amongst them. Creaks from above drew his attention.

Many more than there should be in a condemned building.

Whomever left the money here was still in the area.

Luca drew his Childe into the same carry he did for his other Childer when they were first Embraced into his world and that joyful time he had taken a woman to marriage. "You shall be fully fed when you awaken, and I-"

He trailed off, considered the horrendous clothing on his form. "Shall conjure proper clothing and more currency."

AN

A path of chivalry Lasombra vampire elder wakes up and dislikes everything he sees

An Elder's Cheat Code, Conjuration 3 Magic of the Smith (Conjure complex objects and make them real. Costs 8 blood points)

Elder Luca: One must simply slaughter one's enemies and drain them of all their blood to conjure adventuring funds and tools out of their life force.

Anna: Are...are you turning people into item drops from a JRPG? Did you kill a crack head and turn their blood into 170 pounds of gold coins?

Elder Luca: Yes

Anna: Do you have a cave somewhere in europe that is just filled with gold bars you made out of people you killed?

Elder Luca: Also yes but it varies between various objects of value. Emerald, rubies, sapphires, platinum, silver.

You ever watch a comic summery and rather than overanalyze it's straight-forward politically charged message, instead ponder about the consequences of an entire group of werewolves who may or may not be in denial of where said werewolf comes from.

Or just touch on the unexplored area of Confederate werewolves vs their literal bastard half-cousins who exist as a lession to why one should never fuck livestock.

Vampires on both sides are laughing at the irony.

But overall it just goes back to the idea of wanting to explore the taboo topic of a group of people who are spiritually severed and suddenly have werewolf powers that they have to learn from scratch.

Actually considering how many natives owned slaves, even injun derived werewolf bloodlines where fathered by plantation owners from Confederate aligned tribes. So there really isn't anyone down there to teach black werewolves in the south anything regarding their dominant non-african supernatural heritage. And since this is World of Darkness, untracked population of kinfolk which just creates this confusion mess of the south being full of werewolf-on-werewolf racial violence. All without the involvement of vampires who I assume are still laughing.

Interesting. I'll need to re-read it latter since my brain is a bit... scrambled right now but from my first perusal it looks well written. A few sentences overstay their welcome a bit but that is mainly a difference in preference and style.

I always like to leave things a bit understated. Again stylistic differences.

I'm definitely going to give this another go later. Unfortunately, my brain isn't retaining things right now. Brain be mushy. But from a surface scan... promising.

Anywho, sorry I can't give more right now. I just wanted to leave a comment to let you know that someone read it and that even a scrambled brain sees merit.

New as in NewChangeling/Changeling:The Lost yes, new as in new changelings from Changeling:The Dreaming/OldChangeling no.
Lost is Chronicles Of Darkness/New World Of Darkness, Dreaming is Old/Classic World Of Darkness.
Thanks for pointing that out.
Sometimes I have a hard time telling the difference appart between the old and new world of darkness setting, and Changeling is kindof a fever dream at the best of times.
It also doesn't help that I can't easily find a group to play WoD games with, so I have little practical experiance with the lore.

Wasn't that how new changelings are made or am I completely off about that?
New as in NewChangeling/Changeling:The Lost yes, new as in new changelings from Changeling:The Dreaming/OldChangeling no.
Lost is Chronicles Of Darkness/New World Of Darkness, Dreaming is Old/Classic World Of Darkness.

We might get however a new Changeling "birth method" in V6 considering they love to retcon stuff from older editions.

I mean for werewolf they went from "Fuck humans or wolves" to "I am going to traumatise you untill you change"

The best part of V6 is watching the V5 YT posters who excused all of the problems with V5 go 'V6 is shite.'

Yeah, because we let them get away with V5. As much as there are a not insignificant things I do actually like about V5, there were problems. And they seem to have doubled down.

Hey I do have a really dumb question and I kinda don't feel to welcome on the SB thread so I'd thought I'd ask it here.

So the idea from my snippets kinda hangs on the idea of the Fledgling from Bloodlines basically having a cheated character sheet. Basically, my idea was 'Brujah with really high humanity and 5 bubbles filled on all the things' and have them interact in Hunter the Parenting.

Based on the episodes so far... where would such a character sit on the totem pole? What I was going for was 'strong enough that the resources needed is not worth it.'

And even though my motivation has been burned up, I kinda want to know just how off base I was on the scaling.

Edit: My original thought was 'Good chance of beating Hunts, 30-45ish% chance of taking down Stig.'

Repeating myself: Welcome, we're a bunch of assholes, come be one with us.

Other than HtP, I think, this has cropped up before, so there's no reason to not do so.

where would such a character sit on the totem pole? What I was going for was 'strong enough that the resources needed is not worth it.'

WW games, to include WoD work on a 1-5 as 'human scale.' It doesn't translate exactly for all things, like disciplines which humans don't have, but for attributes and abilities, it does.

The games vary on 2 or 3 being the average. 5 is peak human. Olympic Gold Medalist. Genius. Not quite Helen of Troy but someone who could model for art of Helen of Troy later.

So WoD is, generally iirc, att 5 + abil 5 + specialty (with the specialty making tens count twice). 10 dice is peak human. We're talking like the best of the best. World record holders. Top of the chess ladder. That kind of stuff.

Difficulty is functionally like 3-9, which is also their TN. Not worth rolling below Diff 3, and Diff 10 is basically impossible. You need to roll at or above the TN, and 1's subtract. You need at least one more sux than 1, and the more sux you have the more amazingly you do the thing.

Potence and Celerity, pre V5, are passive with an active component. Which now makes your dicepool for a large number of physical abilities 15.

WW systems are very much a system of 'the more dice the better.'

Solidly super human, physically. Probably fast enough to slaughter most humans if they don't get the drop on you. And more than sociable enough to smooth talk their way out of most things, and clever enough to outthink most things.

When it comes to Bloodlines the player is at the very least an 8th gen possibly seventh if he ate Andrei or the Sherrif and is very likely to have two if not all of the In Clan disciplines maxed by the end (which you can do), possibly have multiple attributes and skills maxed, and may have the Willpower stat to go No to a Ventrue Prince from the napoleonic era

The Fledgeling by end game, if a Brujah, would likely be beating the Sabbat from the beginning of HtP to death with each other and would likely have Celerity 5 which does not seem absurd in game but in the tabletop is I Do 6 Things At Once With No Penalties

And a lot of those actions can be attacks that might be done with 10 to 15 dice

This is without getting into all the magic items you can get like the black hand sword of aggravate damage

Unironically the Fledgeling at the end of that week is likely to have more vampire kills than Door, Markus, and Kitten combined

It is kind of a crime that the game decided to go with the werewolf being something you have to escape or trap instead of letting a character fully built around combat kill it.

Honestly it would be a "The Chantry of Yharmouth would send people during the day and hope things go well"

5 automatic successes on strength to grapple before getting into the actual strength and brawl stats

For context Pyotor after diablerizing his friends would still be the fledgling's Whipping Boy in a straight fight and the Fledgeling might just whip out the handy dandy flamethrower or dragons breath shotgun rounds

Edit

If Big D learned about the events in LA he would be double and triple checking that this was all one person and not an elder that woke up because of how incongruous it would sound before Really Liking it as at least funny if not respect depending on the Fledgeling's morality

That I didn't have much doubt on. Even Super Pytor I imagined would only be juiced up enough for the Fledgling to go 'Okay.' and then actually putting in a degree of effort.

The thing is I remember the unofficial mod making it that you could straight up kill it. At least I remember doing so in my playthrough.

In the context of me snippets the Fledgling and the wolf beat each other to a bloody pulp with the Fledgling just barely pulling a win. Though did ultimately spare the thing since she saw it as a victim just trying to protect its home.

But yeah, gameplay feats being different from lore/tabletop feats is the primary source of my curiosity...

Also why do I keep forgetting that the events of the game take place in only a weak? Geez. Fledgling be scary.

Edit: As for morality... max humanity from the context of the game which from my wiki walk is still pretty high.

Edit: Fun fact, that's the one stat I have never cheated with. Always felt neat to be strong and clever enough to not have that go down.

As mentioned by Skitzy there are no stupid questions when it comes to researching WoD, only stupid shit written by authors who do not check each others's work or previous lore (gypsies, the whole possible Osiris=Allah thing I talked about, anything related to gods honestly and the list goes on).

And yeah a fully maxed out vampire from Bloodlines who may or may not have diablerised a good chunk of LA would be the kind "of shit" scenario where Hunter organisations across England might start ringing alarm bells.

Thanks. That does actually put me at ease. I'm a newcomer and what's more... I'm a fanfic writer that wants to explore the setting more. (Be nice to handle some other types of bullshit that aren't BLEACH)

I just don't want to step on any toes with bad fanon or such.

As for the snippets... no Diablerie. There was a temptation with the Ankaran Sarcophagus but seeing what the want of such a thing turn LaCroix into a sniveling little worm made her decide 'not worth it'.

The best thing to do with the Fledgeling in HtP is to have Grimal be practically attached at the hip ranting in Japanese when it comes to the entire Chinatown storyline involving cyborg schoolgirl demon hunters, weresharks, shapeshifting ninja Kuei Jin and a battle with a Kuei Jin tentacle monster underneath a Buddhist temple while Markus screeches in pain upon learning that yes Kuei Jin exist

On one hand... getting Heather flashbacks!

On the other... Grimal wouldn't even really be a blip on the radar of weirdness after the Wereshark thing.

Also yes Markus the Keui Jin exist and they suck.

Edit: In a round about way the version of the Fledgling I'm rolling with meeting Markus would be Big-D's worst fear.

Hear is a vampire that is moral. In control and has rather heroic inclinations.

Proof that the curse can be controlled... that it can be used. Never mind the Fledgling being far outside the norm. Never mind that even she has difficulty keeping it in check at times. She tamed the curse. Why can't he?

Oh my end I am more focused on Grimal being ecstatic about Japanese sea creature were monsters and the possibility of that meaning The Fisherman's Wife is from an actual thing that happened than Fledgeling thinking she is weird

The Swedish Government might have also flagged him if he let Dr. Ingvar Johansen live (the archeologist that discovered the Sacrophagus) yes he is norwegian but the two governments might work together when it comes to the supernatural.

On a similiar note I have a similiar question related to hunter the parenting.

As mentioned before my best attempt to make sense of the clusterfuck mythos of World of Darkness, where practically every faction claimed that certain gods were related to their faction one way or another (mages, demons, vampires...) was that I combined some elements from Scion (the game from Onyx Path and White Wolf where various pantheons are involved in the modern world, like Percy Jackson) so if things don't make sense I can use the excuse of divine fuckery.

How do you think HtP gang would react if they found out the various pantheons had demigods and other things running around.

The second Inqusition hinted that Big D clashed with the Mithras Cults of London (who is most likely a vampire Incarnate or Chosen of the actual Mithras/Mithra), but besides the Theoi/Dodekatheon (Greek/Romans) in the old roman territories England is mostly contested by the Tuathe de danaan (Irish Celts), the Don (the Welsh Celts), fragments of the Nementodevos (Gaulic Celts), the Aesir and maybe the "new gods/spirits" (Britannia, John Bull, Robin Hood).

I think Big D would like that? That he is making the best of a worst situation. Seeing the alternate concept arts of the fledglings (where Big D talked to them instead of Kevin) kinda shows he does his best to push them towards a high humanity score.

In all honestly after they learn about the Umbra gods does not really sound like a thing the majority of the gang would see as too out of their comprehension (even if they don't quite get the scale) or in the case of some they would probably insist that they aren't gods

I have continued to suffer through Chinese room vampire

The Tremere primogen talks down to you as if the Elder vampire isn't over a hundred years older than her

The short haired toreador has a blindfolded vampire skeleton rearranged into a raptor shape fused with mechanical parts and you are asked your opinion of it while it is blurry in the background of your conversation with your options on what it is about being Mortality and Individuality with you having no context

She is disgusted if you say the twisted and rearranged skeleton mimicking a different kind of creature fused with metal is about individuality instead of the obvious basic bitch mortality. She says she mainly uses found objects and roadkill which I can only presume are victims of hit and runs given that it only seems to be human body parts

Toreador Poseur that goes with incredibly basic goreslop

The Tzimisce and Volgire turn their noses up

Me: If I were a Tzimisce I would be pinning you down and infesting your insides with bioluminescent polyps and condense your body into a ball so that you can see your vacuous insides and undead heart after I shove your eyes inside your wretched chest cavity so you can meditate on how empty you are and see your peanut sized brain. Go find a homeless person that died of exposure in the winter and videotape their decomposition like a modern version of old Buddhist practices if you want to do low effort mortality art. If you are going to use a random skeleton in a art piece about mortality at least have the weird objects you fuse with them be what you used to murder them.

Close to every vampire I have encountered in this game is hilariously low on the humanity scale. A big deal is made about how "Oooh these other random Anarchs you are fighting aren't Katsumi's Anarchs. They will shoot you on sight." When that is the exact thing her Anarchs did because all of them are basic goons you kill by the dozen

Diff 10 is very possible for Mages and those who are on the more powerfully scale then Vampires (or older vampires)

Also if you have enough dice. Or have merits that alter difficulties

Me with my gun wizard who can roll 13 dice for shooting before Magic gets involved

GM: Your technocracy handler called. He knows you didn't use Magic but asks that you please tone it down when it comes to GunKata when there are cameras around. People are Awakening from seeing compilation videos of you. The handler also says he has an offer for you to play The Punisher and just have free reign to choreograph the fight scenes

And thus my Russian Ballet Dancer Black Ops agent became a Hollywood actor

Mages have some of the most fun in my experience, I have done some wild shit and allowed some wild shit. Burning out Vampires via Agg due to suing them is a very fun thing

I kinda don't feel to welcome on the SB thread so I'd thought I'd ask it here.
I am curious, is it because of posters or just general SB vibes? I know for a fact that I feel more free while posting in QQ than SB.

Unironically the Fledgeling at the end of that week is likely to have more vampire kills than Door, Markus, and Kitten combined
To be fair, it is kinda the ironic part of being a human hunter. Most of the time, the very monsters you hunt probably did more to culling other supernaturals than you did. (Especially when it comes to Werewolves but your average vampire Elder killed more vampires in a single century of their unlives than most hunters did in their entire lives.)

A little of both?

They were not too happy with me not liking Stig and they kinda gave me the side eye for my criticizing Kitten and the way he talked to Grimal.

Combine that with the fanfic thread being dead I just... got the feel that not toeing the line would get me into hot water.

Same with Fire Emblem tbh.

So I think it's a SB thing overall.

Make no mistake there are a metric ton of good folk over there. But... sometimes it's better to just keep my opinions to myself, even if I'm trying to act in good faith.

I do not understand them

Like personally, I am here wanting the werewolf plot to finally END because Fatigue died in 2024 and in all honesty I Don't Care about the garou pack's internal messes when we already have the questions of what is going on with Boy and Horse and the Chantry.

For how I approached it was that I had that gut punch of Stig giving into his Rage and breaking his word. And that bothered me.

I did some reflection. And it turns out that Stig... in my eyes was dishonorable. I like to think I'm pretty chill but Stig did something that as a human being... sparked some very negative emotions.

First he gave his word. This would be a fair fight. For me, making a promise especially one like that... you don't make it unless you can keep it. It means something.

Second, the moment this brave woman showed herself capable. Not some waif to humor but a warrior to be respected?
The monster came out. To me it didn't matter if it was involuntary. All that mattered was he made a promise when it was easy... and he broke it the moment Grimal proved herself more than a lamb.

It struck at my values. And his attempts at honoring Grimal after death... woefully lacking.

It took a while to realize this... but I was judging Stig's conduct as a man. It took me quite a while to realize that's what I was even doing!

I pretty broke it down like that. Excellent bit of character writing I thought to.

The thread was not to happy with me though. Kinda started making excuses for Stig.

Like they did with Kitten.

I spent that scene looking at it going "He is surprised the paddle had silver on it when they used silver weapons before?"

The Human using silver is honestly the only way that it can be a fair fight and expecting otherwise makes him look like an idiot.
