I honestly feel like his mother is going to be gobsmacked with the way he's handling things lol, honestly huge change from waiting to send him to the front lines to governing 2 areas and doing a damn good job, I love that he's actually just trying to dump money, but he (un)fortunately hired the people that would maximize the use of that cash and make everything safer and probably more items to invest in, especially if his new toys get to others high up

I think I remember the Mola sisters believing that their brother is doing so well because he is away from their mother. From the many descriptions I have read about the Mola matriarch, I can't say I blame them. Would certainly be a blow to said mother's pride if it is believed, and confirmed, that the children are better off without their mother.

The closest you can get to Coruscant in 40k is Terra itself. In Terra you can still see the continents, in Coruscant the deepest level is the surface of the planet, hundreds of kilometers down below the slyline. In Terra they still have seasons and can breathe air, in coruscant they have factories to produce/recicle air and have mirrors and satellites to recreate the weather.

Honestly, it's probably better if they do a clean sweep regardless. When a culture of corruption digs its roots into the bones of an organization like that, the best possible solution is to rip the whole thing out, root and stem, and start over. Sure, some of them won't deserve to be fired, but as injustices go, that's small potatoes. Especially if you quietly offer some assistance transitioning into new jobs for the less objectionable members of the old police force.

Not to mention that in a scenario like this one, the only truly reliable way to rebuild trust between the citizenry and the police force is to replace it outright. If the public catches even a whiff of "business as usual", even in the form of a few officers who are holdovers from the old regime keeping their badges, then you've just lost all the goodwill you gained by trying to clean it up in the first place.

That's a very iffy statement, considering the horrors that lurk in the lower levels of most 40k Hive Worlds. Coruscant's undercity has a lot of really nasty shit, but it doesn't have Chaos Cults or Genestealers, so I'd say it's actually better off than your typical 40k Hive. Sure, Coruscant has zombies, mutants, feral tribes of regressed beings of many different species, terrible gang violence, etc. But 40k Underhives have all of that too, plus cults of rape-aliens here to herald your eventual conversion into biomass for the Great Devourer, as well as daemon-influenced nutjobs who worship literal cosmic evil and work to spread said evil's influence and corruption. I'm pretty sure Chaos Cults alone are worse than just about anything on Coruscant, considering what they are capable of, what they like to do, and the fact that they tend to create things like zombies, mutants and murder-gangs if there weren't any there already.

It has Dark Side Powered Rakghoul hives that are still down there. Which is on par with a Chaos Cult or Genestealers if you know how they work in SW. Rakghoul aren't mutants gangs, or anything like that. Fuck using zombies to talk about them is wrong as well. Rakghoul are a god damm bullshit threat anywhere else but Coruscant. Coruscant they are just stuck down near the physical planet.

Firstly, I wasn't talking about Rakhghouls when I mentioned zombies. There is lore pre-dating the existence of Rakhgouls about zombies in Coruscant's undercity. So what they have is Rakhghouls and zombies, not Rakhghouls being called zombies.

But honestly? Rakhgouls are about on par with your average Genestealer. Compared to the higher-tier Genestealers? Rakghouls ain't shit, at least not in a straight fight. They're also fairly par for the course when it comes to Chaos fuckery, too. Basically just a slightly scarier-than-normal zombie plague with extra steps. The shit Chaos cults can unleash on a planet - even without summoning a daemon or opening a Warp gate - is so far beyond Rakhgouls that its not even funny. You ever play Darktide? That should give you a rough idea of what I'm talking about, and that's what just one Nurglite Cult in the right place was able to pull off. It's much, much worse than Rakhghouls, and far harder to contain to boot.

You do recall that unlike Darktide and other things, Rakhghouls are one hit and unless you lose that limb, your now one of them correct? Like that is the whole thing with them, they are a touch and your one of them type of deal. Which is on worse then even Nurgilite Plague of Fatihless, given it doesn't care about faith. Only if you get hit or not.

No, it's not by touch alone with Rakghouls, it's by bite or scratch, just like most zombie plagues. They have to break the skin with either teeth or claws specifically, in order to spread the plague and turn you into one of them.

Funnily enough, it's actually Nurglite plagues that are spread by touch or inhalation/ingestion alone. Darktide showed a bit of this with their corruption meter for taking too much damage from certain enemies or inhaling certain gas attacks, but pretty severely downplayed it compared to how quickly the average citizens were corrupted by it, not to mention how nasty it is in the background lore. Darktide's excuse for nerfing Nurglite corruption for the player is that, as an Inquisitorial Agent, you have special protections and purification rituals that make you more resistant to the plagues and harder to corrupt.

The Ysalamiri is what you're talking about, and yeah I agree. Kinda looks like he forgot about that now. Still, between an Ysalamiri or Mugwuffin, I think Mugwuffin might be the better choice here. An Ysalamiri is a hard counter to a force user, but he isn't exactly having consistent engagements with those, and fhe Ysalamiri is kind of a one trick pony. Mugwuffin on the other hand is at LEAST partially sapient and capable of partaking in complex tasks (ahen given incentive like any other cat) and is capable of helping Las read people to get a feel on how to talk to them. That's FAR more valuable to him. Not to mention her force abilitjes also seemz to let her detect ill intentions towards him, which already saved him from that assassination attempt with the guy hidden behind the painting. Hell, considering how she also seems capable of some kind of Force paralysis from how she pinned fhose Mandalorians in place, she might be just as useful against a Force wielder, able to scramble their concentration or ability to move.

What I like about this current arc is how Las is dealing with a planet that is almost as criminalized as Nar Shaddaa.

While Midna is an agricultural backwater that required cooperation from the people of the planet to prosper, in Edin, it's dealing with people who are too scared and disheartened by the criminals and pirates that have ruled the planet for so long.

Imagine Las publishing a book in the future where future administrators learn how to manage different planets based on their culture, needs and planet's features.

Which is odd, because I think Grant would actually be a decent Mom, she'd just have a sadistic psycho side that's directed at specific groups of people as-needed.
