Okay, you're clearly making some kind of joke, but I'm not seeing it.

Gods have a tendency to meddle, especially with each other, also slight reference to the old "walk into mordor" joke.

Considering there is a character in-story named "Murder The Gods And Topple Their Thrones", I think the Exalted nods are kind of deliberate.

 

It's like the Colonial era except with more hubris and less foresight.

There is typically a fine line between bravery and stupidity.

In this case, however, that line is several miles wide and made of white fire.

 

Ignorance != Stupidity, as Aesma demonstrated. Sor is simply unaware of what he's dealing with.

Mottom has been pretty firmly established to be monumentally petty.

 

Mottom? Is it because we saw their "souls" and not their bodies during the meeting? Is that it?

 

She has one of the Keys, is a master of the Art, wields complete mastery over spacetime and has access to frankly silly amounts of resources.

I think it's fairly safe to say that Mottom looks however she damn well pleases. Why she chooses to look beautiful before her lessers and hideous before her peers is something I'm less sure about.


As for the page, all I can say is that this is somehow more terrifying than if she just splattered the guy out of hand.

 

Maybe because souls are un-hideable? Like how Zoss still had his head in the Void and White Chain becomes noticeably masculine as their conviction and personality are damaged/altered?

You know, I'm pretty sure these guys made Mottom's day.

I mean, just think about how these sorts of things must usually go. She sits around for days as people bring in a ton of things that probably all start to blur together after the first couple hours. Then this happens and she finally has something to do.
