See the problem with that is that it would be boring as all hell to read. I want drama, I want violence, I want revolution comrade and I want it in abundance.

Well, I think it would be a happier ending if she had her baby in hiding and the MC maybe went to visit sparingly. It is kinda bad to wish the death of a young woman after all.

Where is my friendly idiot? I'd like to have him back, please. I hope after "the Purge" and after the power is consolidated, he can relax a bit with his family and plan for the future of the Union. Though I'm not sure how his family would view him basically taking another wife. That is also another opportunity for the Party to tighten the leash on him.

if i may ask is his wife still getting offed/JFK'ed in this new timeline?

to tell the truth i think perhaps the story was diminished/lessened by losing that warm homelife to contrast all the coldhearted and bloody things that happen on the job.

if you still need something tragic in the family to destabilize things i feel a coma would work better because then you retain the ability to send him off the psychological cliff while still having a way to pull him back up by putting her back on the board, and along with her you get that contrast / emotional range back so the story can smoothly pivot when the current direction/situation starts to get stale.

i hope ive communicated my thoughts atleast half decently, as i was probably supposed to be sleeping as of 8 hours ago.

I hope the general story remains the same, I liked that Mika generally planned the outline of the whole Union.
