It was at that moment that the ring of the bell sounded out inside of his mind once more, that sound that he had been awaiting for quite a while now.
[ Ding! ]
[ User has completed his first Simulation! ]
[ Rewards are being granted! ]
[ One Stat Rank Up Point. ]
[ Claim? ]
'Claim' Masato thought almost instantly, feeling slightly annoyed that the system even had to ask after all that he had gone through to simply gain that reward. His mind wandered back to the last thirty six days, that's how much time had passed cumulatively inside of the system simulation.
Twenty eight days with the Uzumaki family that he had spent learning as much about Fuinjutsu as he could, though it hadn't been exactly fruitful, Akihiko as he had said was merely a civilian and so was his wife, despite them knowing a bit about Fuinjutsu, his explanations weren't exactly the best, for Uzumaki, the way that they understood Fuinjutsu was more based on instinct and talent rather than on pure knowledge, sometimes the man would explain how he understood a concept of sealing and it would sound like complete incoherent garbage to Masato.
That however hadn't been the issue and the reason for his exhaustion and annoyance, it had been the part about figuring out how to get back to the Uzumaki family house that had caused it. He had spent around two days or forty eight hours if combined all together fighting with Shizue. That meant that he had spent around six entire days of repeated failures and having to run for hours only to find the exact way to get back to the house, to find the exact way to drop down the river and the timing of it. Even though he had gotten everything perfectly mapped out, sometimes it still didn't work and he would have to repeat the simulation once more, there were always tiny minor changes in every single simulation, no one could perfectly act out the same events exactly how they had done it before even if they tried.
'With that aside… It's finally done.' Masato thought to himself as he opened his status menu and directly upgraded his mental stat without wasting a single second, upgrading the physical stat would be a waste since he was already almost halfway to upgrading it with points alone.
[ Mental : E ] [ 0 / 100 ]
'The points… they don't increase, that's at least good to know, if they increased together with the increase in experience required to level up, it would have been a complete disaster, It would have likely taken me centuries to get to the higher ranks.' Masato thought before he tore his gaze away from the glowing blue status panel, causing it to vanish into thin air once more almost as instantly as he had dismissed it inside of his mind.
It was at that very moment that a scream ripped through the entire medical tent, another patient waking up and finding himself either dismembered or feeling enough pain in his body that would make any sane man go insane. It was a hard fact to accept however most of the people who ended up in this medical tent would never be able to be the same person that they had been before the war had started.
Not everyone had the capabilities of Tsunade who could regenerate and practically reattach her limbs or even cultivate entirely new limbs and switch bodies like Orochimaru, in fact people who could do that were so rare that they were practically a diamond inside of a massive dune in the desert.
'Now that I think about it… what am I going to do about these missing limbs, I could try and see if I can somehow learn some kind of medical ninjutsu inside of the later simulations or maybe get some kind of reward that would help me get new limbs or even switch bodies like orochimaru, the first option is definitely more favourable however as it could increase my value inside of Konoha by leagues and bounds, that would also bring attention that I'd rather not have on me but it wouldn't be the end of the world.' Masato thought as he hummed slightly whilst he looked down at his missing right arm and his leg.
'Even if none of that mattered and I'd only get in trouble, I still need to do it. Missing two limbs inside of this world is practically a death sentence, I need to get this fixed and I need to do it rather quickly… unless the war is coming to a close soon, if it is then I'd have quite a few years of peace before shit hits the fan again.'
Releasing what felt like the hundredth sigh of the day, Masato closed his eyes and for the first time since he had come inside of this world, from the first time since he had died to that damned truck after coming out of his work place, he fell asleep in his new body, in his new own body, he had never truly considered Araya's body as his own even if he had lived more inside of it than he had lived inside of the body of Rin.
The medical tent around him continued as usual, none the wiser to the changes that had happened to the small fourteen year old boy laid down on one of its beds. The medical ninjas still continued their work whilst the injured continued ramping up as the battles outside continued.
The Third Shinobi World War was very much still in action.
