  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

(Partially) fixing the tag system

Need also to differentiate between Harry Potter (character) from Harry Potter (series).
this is not possible, at least not as a moderator/staff action. There isn't a "Harry Potter (character)" tag so all the existing tags need to be assumed to refer to "Harry Potter (series)". You can try and advocate for authors to use character tags, but this is not the thread for creating new tags.
There are a large number of tags in the form (character/series) + si. E.g., hp si, naruto si. I think those tags should be replaced with two separate tags, e.g., a Naruto tag and an si tag
I disagree. Having them as a combined tag makes searching a bit easier, and wouldn't have any real benefit, especially as I'd expect the tags you're objecting to to would be recreated almost immediately.

If you can pull the entire tag list, you ought to just run spell check on the darn thing.
There's a link to the JSON file of all 24k+ tags, feel free to try running spell check on that, please let me know how far you get before all the legitimate variations the spellcheck tags make you give up https://forum.questionablequesting....ng-the-tag-system.38716/page-11#post-12884135
