Haa... You know the worst part? There's no chance RWBY will ever see a fan revival like Harry Potter. It's not good enough, not well known enough, and the creator is dead and the people who took over the IP aren't going to suddenly become based. They drove the show into its self inflicted identity wars end, where the only thing people remember about the show is the Homophobic Ruby meme and the porn. The show isn't even that good, lacking the depth of Harry Potter or the wider audience. Yet I became fixated on it because, having lost the best job I ever had, I thought to myself, "Maybe I can make something beautiful out of this broken IP." And I have made a few beautiful things out of it. But engaging with any part of the larger RWBY fandom is almost impossible-It's mostly far too toxic. Not unless some miracle happens and it's rebooted by a based Japanese studio that drives out all the weirdos.

The real question i have to then pose is which studio should get RWBY?

Because we already got a Japanese anime reboot in Ice Queendom. And that took the Oum Curse full blast.

It wasn't the revival the FNDM were so sure would save RWBY and it was from god tier MAPPA.

That's because CRWBY still interfered and Blake's VA caused online drama because she's a stupid drama queen.

Literally everyone and anyone.

VIZ is the American branch of a distributor. They hold the rights to a lot of big animals distribution in the US like the grandfather and grandmother in Sailor Moon and DBZ.

So they have connections.

The issue is more that VIZ itself not a studio. So they have to contract out. It's why its taken two years just to get volume 10 greenlit and we STILL don't know who's working on THAT. Just that its "in production" with the only known individuals working on it being Kerry since he was kept after the sale and likely the original RWBY girl VAs. As they appeared in the announcement.

But depending on how much MAPPA talked with other studios, no one may take the job knowing Arryn is part of the project. MAPPA certainly won't.

Personally I'd like to see ufoTable get a crack at it. MAPPA cut too many corners on IQ animation. I wasn't impressed. UfoTable blew it out of the park with Demon Slayer. That might be enough to recapture some of the Oum Magic.

Let me try and figure out who did Promare. THAT movie slapped so hard i thought I was actually watching RWBY again.

All we need is one public scandal bad enough to breach the contract and they're all gone. And ViZ can recast them all, which honestly they should have done. Ruby and Weiss's VAs are fine, but Blake and Yang's are the worst. And Kerry is a scumbag.

HELL FUCKIN' YEAH. They have my vote for a crack at RWBY.

But still as I've said once before, VIZ will need to dump CRWBY as a "writing team" and get some ONE to cook in the writing room.
