Honestly now I'm curious on how a snippet would go if Jaunes was essentially catnip for various Kaiju/dinosaur Faunus ladies due to something with his aura and semblance. Kek childhood friend Ghidorah shows up and tries to drain Jaune but he he just keeps amplifying faster then he loses it ending with her with a bloated belly that Jaune now has to run to make her feel better. While his team and RWBY are confused as all hell at what just happened. Que Jaune explaining she's the entire reason his aura is so massive.

Snippet idea. While on vacation Jaune sees a couple of men drag his Cousin Eddie into van and speeding off so of course he would chase after them(who knew learning how to hotwire a car from Nora would be so useful?). Who knew him breaking in and freeing his cousin would end up with him and Eddie unknowingly picking up a couple of hitchhikers as they soon fled the place? And the headache inducing shenanigans that would result from it? No Scream you can't eat that!

Aka a world were Jaune helps rescue Eddie at the Life Foundation and becomes the host of the Yellow Symbiote. And then makes it everyone's problem.

I'm not going to lie to you. I saw the name Eddie and my mind went instantly to Brutal Legends instead of Venom.

I don't even know why I haven't thought about that game in years.

Eddie isn't a common protag name so it makes sense that it would stick out. Also thoughts on Jaune getting Scream? It's the only one I can think of that's yellow and female and the white one from Last Dance didn't have a name.

Maybe, maybe not? You could alter the powers since he's a different first host.

Also just a idea here but have you ever seen the spiderman unlimited cartoon? The symbiotes could be independent from a host in that one. What about making independent action/manifestation a semblance for all the symbiotes?

I was thinking of the aura working both as a battery and a frame for making a solid not good pile body.

Kinda like the glass for the Kool aid man. As long as they have enough aura they can form a shell and they're safe from symbiote death as long as their aura holds up.

Also it could be interesting if as a fight goes on the symbiotes visibly shrink.

Imagine venom slowly shrinking until he looks like black suit spiderman size wise.

How the hell is he going to explain Biollante? There's no such thing as a plant Faunus and I doubt her being able to photosynthesize would be able to be explained away, as I'm unaware of any animal that can do that. Even it being her Semblance wouldn't explain her actual abilities.

"MHHHHMMM. Man, even if this place hates my guts, I still can't deny that they make some good chili." Placing the finished bowl down, the blue-haired teen raises his hand, calling the chief at the stall.

"Hey dude, get me another bowl because this is the best chili I have had since coming to Atlas." raising an eyebrow, the chief lips turn into a smirk as he slides him another bowl.

"What? Not the best in the world, you blue nuciance?" Giving the vendor a challenging smirk of his own.

"Well, if you want to know the best chili in the world, go to Patch and find a stand called Don Fachio Hot Dog's; his hot dogs will make you want to run through an obstacle course as fast as you can or fight Grimm for ten minutes straight for a bite; trust me, it is that good." Rolling his eyes, the chief returns back to his station and seeing as the conversation was over, the teen focuses on the bowl in front of him.

"Now to get back to dinner." Grabbing his spoon, he plunges it into the chili.and lifts it up to his ope-

"SALUTATIONS SONIC!"

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" Just to throw the spoon-filled chili at the sudden intruder, giving her some spicy new make-up.

"Are you alright, Sonic? Your heartbeat seems to be over your recommended level." Seeing the genuine worry in her emerald eyes, he raises a hand to his chest to slow his breathing.

"No, no, I'm good. Penny was just surprised to see you was all." The android green eyes continue to look into his own before nodding at him.

"Oh, it seems your heart is slowing down; that is stupendous." The blue-haired faunus couldn't keep the smile off his face from her word choice. Picking up an unused napkin, he begins to wipe the chili off her cheek.

"Not that I'm unhappy to see you, Penny; I'm going to guess Pietro sent you to pick me up for a mission." Seeing the ginger's widening smile made the boy raise an eyebrow.

"Nope, I'm here to see you of my own accord, Sonic for I need your help for something of upmost importance."

"Well, now I'm curious to see what the swordslinger herself wants with me shoot." Sonic watches as Penny's smiling face turns into one of confusion.

"Shoot? What do I need to shoot?" Watching her tilt her head, Sonic could only shake his head from his mistake.

"Oh, don't worry about it. I was just asking what you need." The smile on her face had returned as if nothing had happened.

"I need your help getting my brother a gift for his birthday so I was wondering if you can sign these paper's I have required to get his gift post haste." Seeing the papers, Sonic couldn't help but be confused at the strange girl's request but shrugging his shoulders, he begins to read the document; it only raised more questions.

"Penny, why is this a document to apply for a marriage certificate?" The sweat on the back of his neck at watching her unchanging smile was only because of the chili, nothing else.

He swears.

"Mile's has always seen you as the big brother he never had but he was always sad wondering if you ever saw him as a little brother so I have come up with a brilliant idea of marrying you after finding out that married couples become apart of each other's family and if you are my husband, that will make you apart of my family and Mile's older brother as well, thus giving Mile's the greatest birthday present of all, you as his official and legal older brother!"

The next thing Penny saw was a blue streak breaking towards the door.

The TV station no longer runs, I believe they emptied out all the buildings connected to it and dissolved the brand into the parent company.

Some of the shows are still on streaming but a bunch of shit got pulled and canned. Some for tax reasons, some just because they're cunts.

It was quiet in the workshop. The only sounds being those of the young woman working on her weapon and the occasional chime of bells.

The lights were off but she moved throughout the shop like it was daylight.

To Ruby Rose there was no difference to say and night.

"Hey kid, you almost done? Your sister called. She's got dinner waiting for us."

She didn't even need the bells to know who this was.

A familiar voice and smell. The smell of alcohol and sage. A gruff voice that always made her feel calm.

Uncle Qrow.

"Just about. Wilted Rose just needs a final adjustment to the vibration generator."

A pause. She knows what comes next.

"Are you really sure you want to take the beacon exam? You're doing amazing as a crafter. I'm worried about you kid. The exam might be too much for you to handle."

She slammed the casing of her weapon closed. She's going to have to recheck the latch later.

"Because I'm blind."

"Ruby you've done more than anyone could possibly imagine given your situation, but sometimes you have to realize. Talent can only take you so far."

"Talent? Oh Uncle Qrow."

A chime of bells and the room changed in a second. Faster than he can track her staff is pushed against his chest and deadly wires wrap around his limbs.

"You can see so much and still you lack vision. Talent isn't what I've relied on, only my own efforts can be trusted."

She remembers the last time she trusted something other than herself.

"I'm going to save you Ruby. From that damned silver curse. You'll be safe!"

Hmm she must have been more annoyed by Uncle Qrow than she thought, she hasn't thought about dad Taiyang in months.

She moves herself back to her workbench releasing uncle Qrow from Wilted Roses hold.

"I've lost my appetite. You go ahead and head home, I'll be by later."

After he and Yang go to bed so she doesn't have to go through this again.

Fourteen years and their voices still hold pity.

It doesn't matter that she's zoomed through combat school at record speeds, finishing two years early.

It doesn't matter she's fully certified to work with huntsmen grade dust and weapons fabricators.

It doesn't even matter that her semblance is almost better than having eyesight.

To Yang and Qrow she's still the terrified little girl alone and in pain in the dark.

She's still pathetic.

Qrow tries to say something but eventually gives up and leaves.

Its just Ruby, her weapon, and the bells. It's all she needs.

It's all she trusts.

So this is a pretty sad one. Don't get me wrong it's dark but most of the darkness is in the past. Now it's just emotional scarring and misunderstanding.

So in this Taiyang didn't just breakdown after Summer died. He fucking snapped. He figured summer was only targeted because of her silver eyes.

So his best bet for protecting Ruby was making sure Salem didn't have a reason to target her.

I'm not sure what to do with him to be honest. Prison? Psychward? Salem agent because of how crazy he is, thinking he can flip his family and they'll be safe? Idk. But there's definitely something here.

Oh and if it wasn't obvious Ruby here has a different semblance. It's basically Daredevils power. It's why she surrounds herself with bells and her weapon uses vibrations....outside of their bullshit destructive power.

Her weapon is a staff that can turn into tonfa, a 3 sectioned staff, or a whip using its wires. She can also almost do a sword using some techniques to make the wires stiffen but that ones literally just for intimidation/show. It doesn't hold up well. (Yet).

Ruby also has some serious issues she doesn't trust anyone or anything outside of herself and stuff she's created.

Any attempt to help her is sabotage or pity.

Any concern for her is insulting or fake.

This Ruby has enough issues to open a library.

Ruby and Ren have a problem.

They are small. Well relatively.

Out of his team Ren is the physically weakest, he could beat Jaune any day of the week in a fight but he'd lose in a arm wrestling contest.

Ruby was also the physically weakest on her team, partially because she's younger than all of them but ask them if they care. Nooo she's noodle arms.

This cannot stand. So Ruby and Ren head to the one place they never thought they'd go.

Cardins Gym.

He doesn't own it, it's just the gym he goes to outside of school. It's fully to the brim with muscle heads and smells like sweat.

It's gross, The AC doesn't work, and Ruby is pretty sure that guy in the corner just snorted whey powder like a drug.

It's perfect.

Three weeks have passed and things in beacon have gotten very weird for wby and jnp.

Their small lovable beans have changed. Somehow they've both shot up in height and put on enough sculpted muscle to make a comic book hero look wimpy.

Ruby doesn't even bother using crescent rose anymore. She just picks up the beowolves and starts bench pressing them until they die!

This is unacceptable. Nora needs cuddles but the pecs are too hard. And poor Jaune...

"No please! Ruby the flesh is spongy and bruised."

"Da. We fix. Gym date. You do many squats. I record."

Also why the hell did exercising give them accents? What the hell even are those accents?!

    Jaune: "Well yeah, I'm a farm boy. We have horses back home. My dad had a few motorcycles, but I wasn't gonna take them to get here."

    Sky: "Still, that's pretty cool Jaune! Man, you riding on a horse must have been awesome! How did you not have a girlfriend?"

    Jaune: "Well, I did."

    Cardin: "Pfft, sure Jaune."

    Jaune: "No! No, I did!"

    Russel: "Pics or it didn't fuckin' happen!"

    Jaune shows them.

    Cardin: "What?! A Faunus-!"

    Dove: calmly "A really hot cat Faunus."

    Cardin: pause "True. She is really hot."

    Russel: "And what, you fuckin' left her behind?"

    Jaune: sighs "We broke up. She wanted me to be a doctor, like my mom. We fought about it but we decided we wanted different things."

    Cardin: "Well, that sucks man... But I gotta say. If you could land a hottie like that, why are you clowning around Weiss?"

    Jaune: "Well it's not like my method of getting Katy to date me would work on her! She's sophisticated, elegant-"

    Russel: "Feh! Come on! Whatever you did to land that hottie has to work!"

    Jaune: "It really wouldn't!"

    Dove: "Perhaps not on Schnee, that's true... But it would work on another girl."

    Jaune: sighs "Why would I-?"

    Cardin: Sees Yang walking by "All right Jaune. I'll make you a deal. You try whatever you did to land Katy on Xiao-Long."

    Jaune: "Wha-Are you kidding?! She'll kill me!"

    Cardin: "If you do it, I'll do your homework for a week. And if it doesn't work, I'll do it for a month."

    Jaune: "And if it does?"

    Cardin: "Well that's a reward all its own, right Jauney-Boy?"

    Jaune: "I-I dunno-"

    Russel: "Come on, ya pussy! Show us you can do it!"

    Jaune: sighs "... Fine."

    Jaune gets up and heads over towards Yang.

    Dove: "I thought we were trying to be nicer to him?"

    Cardin: "We are! Look, Xiao-Long's just gonna shoot him down but it'll toughen him up!"

    Jaune approaches Yang. Yang smiles at him.

    Yang: "Hey VB. How's the bird boy club doing? Hope you're not getting all feather-brained-"

    Jaune continues to approach her, silent. His eyes narrowed in determination. Yang stares, and backs up a bit into the wall.

    Yang: "Uh, you're looking a little intense there, Ladykiller. You feeling-EEP!"

    Jaune... Slams the wall next to Yang's head. He locks eyes with her. She's startled.

    Jaune: Even tone "Hey. I wanna date you."

    Yang: turns bright red "I... Uh... What?"

    Jaune: "You like to dance. I do too. Let's go dancing together. On a date."

    It seems like the entire cafeteria has gone silent. Everyone's staring at this in disbelief. Yang blinks twice, then stares up at him almost shyly.

    Yang: "... This Friday night?"

    Jaune nearly loses his composure, but nods

    Jaune: "S-Sounds good. I'll pick you up at seven. Dress nice, I'm bringing flowers."

    Yang: "... Roses?"

    Jaune: "Sure."

    Yang: "Okay. Sure."

    Jaune nods, removes his hand, turns and walks back to the tables. Yang watches after him, bright red and in some mild amazement.

    Jaune sits down with CRDL.

    Cardin: "... Dude."

    Jaune: lets out a breath "Holy crap that was terrifying."

    A pause.

    Jaune: eyes wide "Holy crap that worked?!"

    Cardin: "You have a date with Xiao-Long!"

    Jaune: "I have a date with Xiao-Long?!"

    Russel: "Holy fucking shit, bro." holds up his fist "Bro. Fist bump. You've earned it!"

    Jaune: "But I-"

    Nora: pops up "Take the first bump, Jaune!"

    Jaune: "GAH!"

    Again, Jaune was fronting so hard due to his insecurities, which is interesting from a character perspective. When he just lets go of what he THINKS he should do and he goes for it, he's being his true self and can actually get somewhere with the right girl.
