Now, if you were to commission someone to transcribe the original work for you, in lieu of buying that from the publisher, that would run afoul of copyright. This is still fair use unless/until a court rules otherwise.

I don't think the vote tallying system can take vagueness like that first item (and I don't know if parenthetical notes will interfere with parsing).

Meanwhile, there appears to have been an unannounced update to Slippery Slope.

Ack has mentioned that he has finished planning Slippery Slope and he is currently updating a chapter of it for ~ every chapter of a story that wins here.
Also he mentioned that he will update another chapter of Another Way because of a Patreon reward.
Both those stories are not part of the voting lineup

Two notes:
1) As GW_Yoda has noted, All Unaware is a completed story.
2) Your formatting is off. The dash needs a space on either side of it. If you don't do this by the time I start tallying votes, your vote will be ignored.

The tallying system certainly will not take that sort of vagueness. Pick a story and vote for it, please.

Parenthetical comments after the vote are all right, I think.

Also: due to complications, One More Trigger won't be coming out till Saturday, sorry.
 
Yay for complete stories, even if I haven't actually read that one yet. I'll get around to it one of these days.

Speaking of complete stories, will there be a separate vote to move a story to the active list, or will you be deciding once you've completed one of the active stories?

I believe the plan is to open a vote for which fic to add to the voting list once something is completed.

Ghah.

I had the chapter finished on Wednesday night, but I wasn't able to run it past my beta till tonight. She liked it, after a few minor modifications, and then I tried to post it.

Nope.

For some reason, a giant fucking chunk of the text decided that it would become italic once it was dropped into the edit box, and the only way to fix that shit was to go through and manually input all the italic formatting, then run that chunk through Notepad to take out whatever fucking hidden formatting was making that happen.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
