You too can do so as well! Here's a link to Ack's Patreon.
Yes, he did.
Cambrian had been doing it for ages, anyway. It's legal to commission fan art, I'm sure commissions for fan fiction is okay too.
Now, if you were to commission someone to transcribe the original work for you, in lieu of buying that from the publisher, that would run afoul of copyright. This is still fair use unless/until a court rules otherwise. It's legal to commission fan art, I'm sure commissions for fan fiction is okay too.
At the end of each voting period, the story with the highest cumulative vote has that reset, and a chapter written.OK so I have one query: is this the type of set up where the high number means you want it more or is it where the high number is the one you do not want?

and a cruel wast of time. Now, if you were to commission someone to transcribe the original work for you, in lieu of buying that from the publisher, that would run afoul of copyright. This is still fair use unless/until a court rules otherwise.
But perfect if you want to give someone carpal tunnel.
Well, if the work is in an easily-readable electronic format, sure. If it's handwritten or something...
[X] Whichever non-smut story you are, by your own estimation, closest to completing - 6
[X] Danny & Taylor - 5 (I'm hoping Pathfinder and Compass Rose will take down the Dragonslayers next.)
Ack has mentioned that he has finished planning Slippery Slope and he is currently updating a chapter of it for ~ every chapter of a story that wins here.I don't think the vote tallying system can take vagueness like that first item (and I don't know if parenthetical notes will interfere with parsing).
Meanwhile, there appears to have been an unannounced update to Slippery Slope.
Two notes:

The tallying system certainly will not take that sort of vagueness. Pick a story and vote for it, please.I don't think the vote tallying system can take vagueness like that first item (and I don't know if parenthetical notes will interfere with parsing).

I believe the plan is to open a vote for which fic to add to the voting list once something is completed.Speaking of complete stories, will there be a separate vote to move a story to the active list, or will you be deciding once you've completed one of the active stories?
