If the Catholics were in any position to judge there wouldn't have ever been Protestants. Their practice of praying to dead mortals that cannot hear or help is every bit as blasphemous as any of the wacky shit Mormons get up to.

For that matter, more than a few Baptist sects (including the one my mother was neck-deep in) don't recognize Catholics as Christians.
