As I understand it, vorlon ships generally have a crew of one. And it's really more 'you're seeing this too, right?'.

Well, it's less 'he's an atheist' and more 'he's not from this universe, so he doesn't have the Vorlon genetic tampering that makes all the local Younger Races' members see Vorlons as angels'.

The Road Home is the recent animated movie that functionally ends B5's original story and established a new timeline (so far, sans the Shadow War) for the reboot JMS was working on to take place in.
(The reboot that now, again, appears to be in development hell...)

Honestly, 'tasted better when fried and dipped in butter' covers 90%+ of edible food, and a staggering amount of inedible things too. Reminds me of Pratchett (I think? It may have been Douglas Adams) on escargot - 'if you cook them in garlic and butter, they taste of garlic and butter.'

They may know that Lorien doesn't exactly approve of their game, so he apparently sent someone to throw a wrench into the whole thing.

And this is why its dangerous to ignore people, you can be proven wrong and continue on as if you were right with everyone else seeing otherwise

At this point any statement you make is automatically suspected to be meaningless nonsense, because 99% of the time it is meaningless nonsense.

Fun fact.

The Drakh and Soul Hunters can be considered to be peers in a way.

The show explained that the Drakh were Shadow servants, but it never really gave an answer about the Soul Hunters.

However, in other materials, like the books and RPGs, it is explained that the Soul Hunters were created by the Mindriders, a First One race.

The Mindriders were a race that became non-corporeal before they reached the stars, and as the name suggests, they spent their time entering the minds of corporeal being in order to experience what they experience.

One day they noticed that members of the Speaker race began to die because they were not born with immortality.

In order to repay them for being their guides, the Mindriders created the Soul Hunters so that the souls of the Speakers who died could be preserved.

So yeah, the Drakh and Soul Hunters are both First One servitor races.

Also the Shadows question is 100% Orange Light aligned.

It's also worth mentioning that Paul will come off to Vorlons as the Vorlons do to the younger races.

Vorlon fleet's generally have a crew of one.

Kosh and Ulkesh were exceptions because they were Ambassadors.

The Road Home is actually really good and fills in some holes from the series.

On that note, come on man, you're writing in the setting, at least do minimum research so you can portray it realistically.

It's also worth mentioning that Paul will come off to Vorlons as the Vorlons do to the younger races.

Realistically the Vorlon's are probably contacting the Shadows right now to jointly hunt Paul and his backers down and destroy them.

Because that's what happened 10,000 years ago when a similar situation occurred.

Or if you go solely by the show, the Vorlon's are partying because another first one breaking the rules of engagement like that means they're no longer restrained by said rules so now can just send their fleets out to destroy anything touched by the Shadows.

I forget if it was expressed in canon, ancillary canon, or was just something someone mused about but I recall reading that the Vorlons and Shadows had originally been taked with the elder First Ones (like Lorien) with watching over and shepherding the Younger Races as they rose. But they disagreed on how: the Shadows wanted their charges to be latchkey kids, while the Vorlons wanted to be helicopter parents, and over the millenia things devolved into the "my way!" "no, MY way!" of the year 2257.

...regardless of that, if the Vorlons did conclude that-

The Exodus

The Vorlons' transition to their Fourth Age was one of the few
successful ones to take place in the aftermath of the invasion.
Even the survivors of the war were severely damaged; several
races lacked the will or the infrastructure or the numbers to
rebuild. More and more homeworlds became tomb planets
like Z'ha'dum, and the galaxy became a haunted place for the
elder races.

It was time to leave. The elder races had so devastated the
galaxy that none of the Younger Races of that era would
ever make it out of their Second Ages. The consensus, fi rst
vocalised by Lorien himself, was that the galaxy now belonged
to the races that were to come, those races who were now
no more than single-celled amoebas or small scavengers or
parasites or fi sh, but would one day reach out for the stars.
Out beyond the Rim, the surviving First Ones could stretch
their powers without putting the Younger Races at risk of
another invasion or similar disaster and without warping
them by their presence.

One by one, the First Ones began to depart from the galaxy.
The few surviving Speakers were in the vanguard of this
exodus, departing from the tomb world of Z'ha'dum where
they had tried and failed to resurrect their race. Other species
who had been damaged by the long wars left in hopes of
healing; still others left because the galaxy held no secrets or
challenges for them.

Not all were willing to leave. Some still had scientifi c or
artistic projects ongoing, others wished to protect particularly
favoured planets or races. Lorien proposed that one or two
of the First Ones stay behind, to watch over the developing
galaxy. The duty of these guardians would primarily be to
protect the developing races against an invasion from outside
the galaxy by a middleborn race or extradimensional force,
or from some natural disaster like a lethal supernova chain
reaction or a self-replicating machine plague. However,
the guardians would also guide the Younger Races towards
adulthood. Only the two guardians would be permitted
contact with the Younger Races; the other elder races who
remained in the galaxy were forbidden from establishing any
sort of contact.

To prevent a single guardian race from stamping its own
cultural identity on the Younger Races, it was decided that
two guardians – equal and opposite forces – would present
different poles for the Younger Races to navigate between.
The choice of the fi rst race to guard the galaxy was obvious
and inevitable – the Shadows had no interest in leaving for
the Rim and had always been on the fringes of the galactic
community. To balance the chaotic nature of the Shadows,
the Vorlons were also asked to serve as guardians.

A few of the Speakers, including Lorien, chose to remain
behind. Their numbers swiftly dwindled, even though they
had long ago transcended physical form and were effectively
indestructible. They just…went away.

General reminder that Lorien working with Sheridan was what allowed the Vorlon's to go full "kill them all".

Lorien is a voice that the Vorlon's and Shadows will stop to hear, but not a voice they are afraid of or willing to listen too unless he has the backing of everybody else.
