I'd... contest that honestly.

Nikke's writing is miles better than Stellar Blade. It's one area that honestly disappointed me. Because I do know they are better storytellers then that.

I do give em a slight pass for it being their first attempt at a mainstream game. I think I even saw a tweet that said they were trying to play it safe with Stellar Blade.

But all bets are off with the sequel. And to be honest, I'm not in the mood to give a lot of grace this time because of the AI thing they pulled.

I haven't dismissed the game... but it's off the pre-order list.

I'm not talking about writing, I am talking about gameplay. The minigame the DLC added is as far as I understand a port of the Nikke gameplay, and it was not something I care much about. I've enjoyed the stories of a number of gacha games I've played, its the gameplay I usually can't stand for prolonged periods of time.
