He may try to get some upgrades, but he may want to remove them in the future and add other upgrades, but if he doesn't understand what he has to upgrade himself with he may find it more difficult.

He now has Compound V and if Sivana figures out how to make it safe then OL can potentially get Superman level powers.

 

If his mindset was so rigid he wouldn't have changed himself the moment he came into this universe. He wouldn't be much of a trans humanism advocate if he saw things this way, would defeat the whole point. Hell just recently he cosplayed as an abomination by changing his body, so this is clearly not the case.

Beyond that there's a lot that can be done while still keeping a human appearance, it's not like fixing some of the basic design flaws in the human body or taking lessons from existing animals would require for him to look different.

He can't use the formulas because of his soul, even if he could Zoat wouldn't let him use the Garrick formula due to how powerful it'd make him (he literally said as much before).

Well, yeah, the soul is part of why he can’t use the Garrick formula. As for balancing, you brought up Watsonian complaints and I responded in kind.

 

If that's how you look at it, but again we saw him assume other forms when he felt like it, clearly showing change is possible if he wishes it. It was also only shallow "perfection" like being in peak condition for a human and obviously if he's not aware of better upgrades he wouldn't have implemented them at the start, hence why later he got some light brain upgrades.

 

In the Renegade timeline, after the conquest of The Citadel, didn't she engage in a 3-way with Grayven and her sister? It was explained as a more "in the heat of the moment she wanted to have sex, and they were the only ones who likely wouldn't die from the encounter" so I don't know if concepts like gay or straight would generally apply. If she wants to have sex with someone, what difference does their gender matter?

 

While I agree with you that having being a master with one decent power set is more useful than being a novice with all of them, what I’m suggesting is that Paul supplement his power set not replace it. With the power ring he can already mimic nearly any power set imaginable. Being Dannered or Garricked wouldn’t actual be a massive up shift for Paul as he

If we are thinking conventionally yes, but we don’t have to. It’s entirely possible for Paul to either buy or acquire bleeding edge supercomputers from Earth companies, use Ray Palmer’s tech to shrink it to the size of a single grain of rice or smaller and then have either Palmer or Cranius or Dox or Sivana surgically attach it to his brain. There, significant improvements in his reaction speed, memory and comprehension.

Another thing to consider is optics, it’s easier to convince people to get enhancements and augmentations when you yourself have them. If he really wants to set the ball rolling then he should try convincing celebrities, influencers and other notables to get them. Maybe even go so far as starting up a Metahuman Olympics or something to get some exposure. Show that metas can be more than just heroes or villains.

 

Better for Paul to work on the more social aspects of being a super hero....it's much easier for him to phone a friend with the proper power set or know-how, then it is to bring himself up to those standards. That is how you out 'batman' the genuine article.

They usually reserve it for one shot What If scenarios, but every now and then they'll actually just come out and say, "The world would be a fuck of a lot better off if supervillains got killed instead of cycling through revolving door prisons."

Well there would certainly be a lot of orange ring candidates from that universe to recruit from if OL ever goes there.

-Diarmuid wants to serve a master loyally. Paul already showed Xor he is a great guy to work for.
-Iskander wants to essentially conquer the world and beating the Reach and taking their territory would be nice.
-Vlad wants to get rid of his reputation as a monster and having him free hundreds of worlds from Reach influence and other such evil things would accomplish that.
-Cu Chulainn wants to just fight and of all of mentioned candidates he seems to be a perfect fit for an orange ring. He and Ragnar would get along just fine.
-Fergus can also probably wield a ring like Cu can and he is very much in tune with his desires.
-Amakusa wants to bring peace to the world so maybe he can be given an orange ring to do that, though indigo and blue rings could also work for him if orange doesn't.

These are all of the ones I could think of at this time. If anyone has any other mentions then please share them.

True, but most of these guys are at least going to respect Paul and accept him as their leader or at least someone they should follow and listen to, and use their rings in a productive manner.

Gil could use a orange ring, but he'd most likely not follow, listen to, or respect Paul, plus he may not use his ring for anything productive.

Caster Gil could potentially be a good candidate.

 

I have never watched any of the Fate series, and have no plans to change that.

Mentioning Krona makes me wonder if Grayven's sword blow doesn't just result in reincarnation as a human if it does an instant-kill, but, also applies if they die (reasonably soon) after... If so, Fallout's going to get a really annoyed Ex-Ex-Guardian... Maybe with a copy of him in a Gold Ring, as well...

 

Krono didn't use the Sword of the Fallen. He used a Dream Twister. Krona's brain melted. There's nothing about that which would enable reincarnation.

 

Good point. Krona probably got re-wrote to fit the local reality rules on entry to the Fallout universe, so any 'taint' left in his system by the Sword of the Fallen was likely erased. And, we don't know if 'reincarnation' is part of the local reality, either.

Whereas, previously we know Power Rings work, locally (mainly because that's one of the central points of the whole story).

It doesn't, but if she's not attracted to women then she's unlikely to want to have sex with Amazons. Even if they want to have sex with her.

 

Plus even if she is bi she most likely isn't sexually interested in her sister.
