Yo, I've been checking the world ratings up and down time and again and I can't find the rating for genshin impact anywhere. Yet the waifu ratings, those I can find easy in the east rpg section. Which is weird....

In any case, I need an actual rating for the Genshin setting, currently i'm tentatively going with 5.

This is probably a dumb question but I'll ask anyway. If OC Donut Steel is used on say, Nymphadora Tonks, would they receive magic without needing to buy Template Stacking or just her meta ability? Also, would the buyer gain her knowledge of magic?

OCDS has been merged back into Template Stacking in the current unstable. The question is obsolete because it's all just one perk now.
Is there anywhere I can suggest changes to the Catalog? There are various characters and even entire fandoms which are missing (e.g. Percy Jackson), and there are also ratings for some characters which just don't really make sense (e.g. Kida from Disney's Atlantis being tier 1, despite being both near-immortal and peak human).

I was looking at the Neocities interactive Waifu Catalog, and was wondering what the cost to substituting as the Sith Inquisitor character (he who becomes Darth Nox) in SWToR would be. Looking at your official list, you have stuff from KoToR 1 and 2, but nothing from SWToR. Hell, I am not even seeing anything from the SW movies, either.

Closest I can see, currently, is Substituting as a Sith Apprentice (T4), and fanwanking as the last of the Line of Kallig.

"Characters from live-action works" are purposely excluded from the official catalog, because the art for them would logically be still frames from their works, i.e. of real people. That's why Wars, Trek, and Gate are all absent. TOR is absent because the giant list of Old Republic era characters that I was provided only covered the single-player games.

I will point out that all three of those have comic books, and at least two have video games, to pull images from. However, your point is well made.

Hey, got a question. If you were to chose a game mode option were you dispense with the buying mechanics and make it so that the only way to acquire waifus is to capture them in the wild and you can never use credits to gain new ones but you can still improve them.

Do you receive somekind of bonus or extra credits to buy more perks?
    NeroAlmia
Quick question: does a dedicated thread for asking questions related to the Waifu Catalog exists? Or I need to ask you personally via PM or by commenting here?

Hey before I give myself too much credit, am I remembering correctly that I inspired the creation of R34 Economy stuff with this post?
    Noctis
A quick question here since I don't know which thread to ask this on, if you take dragon heritage like the dragon's heart, are you now weak to dragon slayer abilities to like, say, Siegfried's sword from fate? Or is this like taking the Kryptonian race and having the the kryptonite weakness removed?

I think you deleted the description of how points work for ritual circle - I recall there being a perk you could buy more than once that increased the maximum points you could put into a circle, and also a network perk. Now they are both gone, but still referenced throughout the rest of the options.

So, don't know if this has been answered anywhere, but would it be possible to Substitute into a build from a CYOA? Specifically, a Star Nephilim (https://imgur.com/a/b3uDCTP). I could use Template Stacking, but that gets me a T4 equivalent that would need training to get more. Also, what Tier do you think for a Generic Star Nephilim, 7 or 8?

New to CYOAs, and because why not, I chose to start with Waifu Catalog. Is it just a living document, or is there a specific version I should look for if I want the most up-to-date?

Hello, I just had a quick question regarding the catalog and starting worlds. If I wanted to get into a starting world with R63 variants of certain characters, would I need to have Universal Calibration as part of my starting build? And am I right in assuming that Universal Calibration would even allow me to genderbend characters anyway?
    Slayer Anderson
Just wanted to say thanks for all the effort on the catalog. I also appreciate it when I see a comment by you on my R34 CYOA stories. I have a new one coming out sometime soon as well, so I hope I'll see you there too.

Sorry for bothering you, but I was wondering which talent will work on Force from Star Wars. Is It Soul or Psychic?
My second question is about bindings. Do they always ramp so fast or could I play with it by lengthening time that leads to love?
    Dr_BlackThumb
    Dr_BlackThumb
That should depend on the aspect of the force you want to train, it should probably be a mix of body/soul/psychic talents to manipulate its fundamental aspects Physical/Cosmic/Living into the Unifying force, but then again, what do I know? And then you get things like Mechu Deru, which probably need scientific knowledge, plant surge and so on... Take all of the talents
    Dreameater2579
I'd like a little clarification on one of the controls specifically Hotel California, does it count as a binding or a lure? also about what kind of facilities I can make use of, I had an idea of a combination doctor/psychiatrist office + insane asylum + bondage dungeon (sexy nurses ans straightjackets for everyone) would that be viable?
    ProfessorP.Hardraad
I've been looking through the catalog and DLCs and I can't find the husbando list, is there an "official" list or are we expected to use good judgement on gains from stamping doods?
    Seed00
I didn't want to clog a thread so I'm leaving this random comment here. Company workers must be getting sick and tired of constantly receiving people from the worm-verse considering the myriad of other destinations in the catalog. Hell, some worker must be screaming internally: *Taylor Hebert again?! AAAAGHHHHHH!!* At this point, it's easier to count the stories on one hand that ignores worm rather than go there.

Quick question, does the special ritual circle in the previous version of the catalog create cores in the people it affects?
    Metabolicjosh
I noticed that you updated the document. Enlightened Talent doesn't explicitly mention that it is a experience multiplier, so does that make it a flat gain that bumps you roughly up to T5-T6?

Also, I'm giggling at the idea of Jaune Arc and his insane aura levels being boosted by this and Soul Talent. Ozpin would probably set up a breeding program
    SwiftRosenthal
    SwiftRosenthal
Don't think of the Advanced Talents' prices in terms of tier gain. I just figured 30-40 credits for each seemed fair, then opted for the low end of the range.
    Metabolicjosh
    Metabolicjosh
Okay! I would appreciate a rough estimate on the power boost that it gives because the only mention to that end is drawing out your power like Goku... and I doubt you mean that literally.

Just guessing, if it's an instant power boost and not a learning multiplier... it probably depends on the person (like when Guru unlocks someone's potential)

Thank you, and sorry for bugging you
    SwiftRosenthal
    SwiftRosenthal
It's more of an effectiveness multiplier, but I don't want to give a hard number because it would simultaneously be too powerful for (popular setting), yet so weak as to be worthless in (other popular setting), and the specific value would just be pulled out of my ass anyway.

But yes, the Goku comparison is figurative. He's likely and simply the first ki user to come to mind for most readers.

Which Defense would stop a quirk from being stolen by AFO?

    SwiftRosenthal
    SwiftRosenthal
So yes, it includes stuff from Possess, Substitute, Extra (remember the copper and silver variants!).
    Metabolicjosh
    Metabolicjosh
Speaking of the Copper and Silver variants, Extra as I read it shouldn't be the copper version in MHA because most people don't have combat quirks and thus the average person is blue. Could I purposefully take the copper version to make a character that has a quirk? If so, do I get to pick it or should it hypothetically be random? (I know the author decides at the end of the day)

"Copper Extra in MHA to get a quirk" is an intended use. The quirk itself is up to you. Ideally, it should be something that plausibly exists within the setting, but that's a narrative concern.

Sorry for bothering you, but I was wondering if you had an idea of how large a ritual circle would be needed to bind the grail in fate and if essence reactors are required to be physical for Aethermorphs?

No, I mean full conversion morphs have true forms and human forms, is the essence reactor required to exist within human form, or can it exist only in the morphs true form? Or am I misunderstanding something basic?
    SwiftRosenthal
    SwiftRosenthal
    It doesn't matter imo.

Basic misunderstanding on my end then. Alrighty, thanks.
A question, can "possess" be used to become a version of the character that is younger than their first canonical appearance?

IMO that feature is most useful for possessing adult or elderly characters and then inserting into a school setting.

This is exactly my plan, if the answer was no then I planned to go in as a teacher.
Excuse me, SwiftRosenthal, is there a more complete compilation list of worlds with their danger ratings?
    SwiftRosenthal
    SwiftRosenthal
I can only personally rate worlds that I know enough about, and even then it's more of an art than a science. If a world isn't on the list, you're expected to either use a thread search to find a previous rating for it or estimate it based on comparable worlds that have official ratings.

    Got it. Thanks. :)
