contradict, I believe
Oh yea good catch, edited! I was thinking something else when I wrote that line, but now I realize that even if it makes sense to me due to knowing the background plot, it doesn't make sense to readers, and anyway, contradict makes sense and still suits the plot I have in mind. Thank you for pointing it out!

25. My favourite question New
Without slowing his jog, Kaizen mentally told the system to display the cost of the Wave Greave's blueprint.

[Wave Greave - 100,000 experience or 65,000 experience and 1x Holy Stone.]

Holy shit, why don't you just rob me?

He grumbled before continuing.

Also, what's with this holy stone? Weren't purchases supposed to be made purely with experience?

[The rules of the system are on my whims, you lowly mortal.]

I really can't trust anyone.

[Anyway, why are you sulking? Isn't it better that you can save 35000 experience by handing over a Holy Stone?]

True, might as well enjoy getting fucked over if I can't resist.

[That's quite a way to put it.]

Thanks, flattering me still won't make me buy your overpriced products though. I don't need that blueprint right now.

[I wasn't flattering you.]

Stop, stop, if you keep praising me so much I might not be able to sleep at night.

[...]

[Shameless.]

Can't hear you.

While bantering with the system, he finally reached the second upper opening.

His expression shifted to that of seriousness as he began inspecting every inch of the wall, eager to find the second vital point.

Kaizen really wished he would be able to find it here itself, as the third opening, which was the bottom part of the 'Y' was really way too far.

Just travelling to this second opening took around an hour. Reaching the third one might take two or three hours easily.

After half an hour of searching, to his delight, he finally found the second vital point.

With the memory of dismantling the first node still fresh, it only took him ten minutes to destroy this one as well.

As soon as the second node broke down, a piece of boulder shifted in his vision.

Is the secret entrance located there?

Using the immense strength he received from the combined benefits of two main classes, he pushed away the boulder and entered.

Without his draconic eyes, navigating this space would have been miserable. It was dark.

This looked like a portion of the tunnel that had been deliberately sealed off.
From the outside, there would have been no way to tell anything was missing.

Yet aside from the lack of light, nothing stood out.

No mechanisms. No treasure glow. No ominous aura.

Just a tunnel.

A very plain tunnel.

In fact, it was even more barren than the one outside. No vines creeping along the walls. No insects skittering around.

A few tens of meters in, there was finally a change.

He heard voices.

And judging by how quickly they reacted, it was mutual.

"I hear footsteps!"

"Me too!"

"Me too!"

…There are more people here?

Kaizen retreated while adopting a defensive stance. It was never a good idea to engage with no information on the opposite party.

The sounds drew closer. Soft. Wet. Slightly enthusiastic.

Just as he reached the edge of the sealed tunnel, the figures finally came into view.

They were…three slimes.

Kaizen's movement stalled mid step as the absurdity hit him.

Slimes?

They were colored red, green, and brown. It seemed they had used some kind of cultivation skills which allowed him to sense their aura.

All rank 1.

The red one was a cultivator.
The green one was an oathkeeper.
The brown one… Kaizen had no idea.

Each of them was barely the size of a football, with two coin sized black eyes embedded into an otherwise perfectly smooth surface.

"Who are you?"

"Who are you?"

"Who are you?"

Their voices were high pitched, and extremely clear. Whenever they spoke, a hole would open up below their eyes.

Kaizen's eyes narrowed.

These slimes aren't at rank 4.

And as far as I know, the status of the slimes only increased later when their intelligence as a race underwent a huge shift, rivalling those of dragons, phoenix and other such races.

Slimes shouldn't possess such human-like intelligence this early in the timeline. Or is there something I don't know?

Kaizen coughed into his fist seeing that these slimes weren't hostile.

"Who am I?"

This might as well be my favourite question.

He put on the brightest smile he could muster, and spoke with complete sincerity.

"I'm Kaizen. The most mysterious and most powerful prince of the Aeonhart Empire. The fifth prince."

The reaction was immediate. He could practically see their eyes shining.

"Woah! That sounds so cool!"

"Cool cool!"

"Veryyyy cool!"

Yes! Finally! The correct reaction to my proclamation! Something was indeed wrong with Steve and Alice. Those two aren't normal.

The satisfaction lasted exactly half a second before his brows furrowed.

"Wait, what do you mean it only sounds cool? Do you not know of the Aeonhart Empire? It is cool."

The brown one blinked once, and answered calmly.

"We don't know anything about the Aeonhart Empire. We've lived in this cave for as long as we know."

Before Kaizen could ask the obvious follow up, the green slime chimed in.

"There are several holes in this tunnel. Small beasts come through them often, and there's a river flowing through one of them. So we've never lacked food or water."

Kaizen tilted his head.

"Couldn't you all have left?"

This time, the red slime answered. Its voice was the highest pitched of the three.

"Our bodies get zapped whenever we touch those walls. We can't break out of this tunnel even if we want to."

Kaizen cautiously eyed the tunnel walls, then cleared his throat.

I at least need to know their names if I want to start a conversation with them about any kind of good stuff here.

From what I've gathered, the red one is the youngest and most energetic.

The green one is the middle child. Still enthusiastic, just less explosive.

The brown one is the oldest. Calm. Measured. Probably the voice of reason when these slimes argued about absolutely nothing.

"So," Kaizen said, "what should I call you all?"

For the first time since he had arrived, all three slimes fell completely silent.

Kaizen's thoughts went haywire, spilling in every possible direction as a flicker of excitement creeped into his eyes.

"You don't have names?"

The brown one hesitantly answered. "We just call each other by our colors."

CLAP!

The sound echoed sharply through the tunnel as Kaizen brought his palms together.

"Perfect. I'll take you all out of here, and give you a proper identity. I have this authority as a prince of an empire. How about letting me name you?"

The red one's eyes shined at the mention of a life outside of these dull tunnels.

"Sure!"

Kaizen stepped closer, his foot tapping the ground with an especially rhythmic beat.

By now, the excitement was barely contained. It was leaking out of his eyes.

Pointing at the brown one, he said.

"You…will be the Earthmelon."

He snapped his fingers, spun once for absolutely no reason, then pointed at the green one.

"You will be the Airmelon."

Then he shimmied. For a solid two seconds. Commitment mattered.

Finally, he pointed at the red one.

"And you… will be named the Firemelon."

"Yayyyy!"

The red slime bounced with joy. The green one looked politely pleased. The brown one remained silent, as if still processing the consequences of this decision.

Suddenly, Kaizen's brows furrowed as he muttered.

"Wait, the Elemelons are incomplete."

He paused.

"There should be a Watermelon too."

At that, the brown slime's eyes widened, genuine excitement finally breaking through its calm.

When it spoke again, its voice carried a hint of reverence.

"How do you know of our blue sister?"

Btw, small correction in chapter 23. It ends with "Can you let me enter the tunnel behind you?" and not "Can you show me the way to the tunnel?" (I already edited the changes). In case someone is confused why chp 24 started the way it did and didn't scroll back to read the updated end of chp 23, it's the above reason.

26. Kaizen doesn't take responsibility New
"We have a sister?"

"A blue one?"

Airmelon and Firemelon exclaimed one after the other, their mouths stretching into identical, perfect O shapes.

Huh? The other two slimes didn't know of their sister? Did I uncover some big family secret?

Kaizen thought with full blown curiosity etched all over his face.

However, at that moment, the derailing of his thoughts halted.

The memories of what took place hit him.

What did I do?

Aaaahhhhhh

Shame replaced curiosity in an instant, crawling up his spine and settling squarely on his face.

He straightened up, forced his expression into neutrality, and decided the best course of action was to shut up and let the family drama play out.

Earthmelon hesitated before speaking.

"I think we were placed here by our blue sister."

"Watermelon."

The word slipped out of Kaizen's mouth before his brain could intercept it.

All three slimes turned to look at him.

Kaizen's face went red.

Earthmelon paused for a couple of seconds, then deliberately used the new name.

"Watermelon should be the eldest one among us, based on what I felt in my bones back then."

"We have bones?!!"

"Where where where???"

Kaizen could practically imagine steam coming out of Earthmelon as it puffed up.

"Figure of speech, idiots. This is exactly why I said you should explore your bloodline to get educated. But no. All you ever want to do is run around and eat."

Kaizen's brows furrowed at that.

Bloodline exploration? It couldn't be due to that sister who is a rank 2, it must be someone above in the life hierarchy. Their parents? Are they rank 2 as well? Or more?

Bloodline exploration was exclusive to flora and fauna. It allowed the progeny of beasts to more easily trace their path forward if their ancestors were strong enough.

For example, if a beast reached rank 2, its descendants could naturally obtain the knowledge required to break through to rank 2 themselves, along with fragments of their progenitor's memories.

This knowledge often contained basic information about the world, with occasional fragments of their understanding of skills or blueprints, if any.

Exploring the bloodline could be done through manipulating your Qi through the numerous Qi lines in your blood.

These Qi lines were distinct from the ones used to deploy cultivation skills.

Hmm, talking of bloodline exploration, I am in essence a dragon. Could I explore my blood to gain some information?

I don't really need any information on breaking through to several ranks but it would be better if I get some information which would tell me the source of this dragon essence.

I might be able to narrow down the scope of the source of this system through it as well.

Those ruins through which I got that cultivation technique was definitely not ordinary.

That technique changed my race to that of a dragon and might also be responsible for this system.

Was I lucky? Or chosen?

Kaizen's frown only deepened as another thought surfaced, one that sent a chill straight through his spine.

Wait, the energy for the draconic evolution came through the Fragment of Heaven.

However, I obtained that Fragment of Heaven by slashing at the heavens!!!

Entering the unknown ruins and acquiring that cultivation technique was one thing. Slashing at the heavens at the end of his life was another. There were two independent events.

Was I unknowingly influenced to slash at the heavens after I entered those ruins?

This doesn't make sense.

He had slashed at the heavens in pure rage. Rage born from failure. From being unable to break through into that completely new rank. From watching his last hope of resurrecting his partner collapse in front of him.

That anger had been real. The bitterness towards heaven for denying him his breakthrough had been real.

But then another thought followed, colder than the last.

Was she killed because I entered those unknown ruins? Therefore forcing me down this path?

Unknowingly at some point, his breathing had grown heavy.

He had never even considered the possibility that receiving the Fragment of Heaven might not have been a direct result of slashing at the heavens.

It was because that aquamarine colored crystal rested within his hearts, completely bare to even his rank 1 senses.

He would've definitely noticed it with his rank 9 senses if it entered his body anytime before he slashed at the heavens.

Kaizen eventually snapped out of his thoughts with a frown still on his face.

This is more troublesome than I thought.

Chuck it, can't be hung up on something I can't do anything about currently.

Bloodline exploration takes a fuck ton of time. Maybe months, maybe years, or even longer.

I can't be doing it when I have a survival mission hanging over my head.

He refocused on the slimes.

They were still in the middle of some discussion revolving around Watermelon when Earthmelon suddenly raised his voice, as if something important had just clicked.

"Oh yea, I don't know if both of us had names or not, but Watermelon did give me your name before leaving."

His eyes were fixed on Firemelon. The red slime blinked, then screamed.

"I have a second name?"

Airmelon interjected.

"Technically, it should be your first name. You were named Firemelon today, whereas that name was decided long ago."

Firemelon wobbled slightly, turning towards Kaizen before speaking.

"I don't care. Firemelon came first for me. I only learned about this name after Kaizen named me, so this will be my second name."

A strange sense of pride welled up within Kaizen before he ruthlessly crushed it.

No. Absolutely not. I refuse to take responsibility for this. Credit or blame.

My naming sense is not this bad. This only happened because my thoughts went completely off the rails.

As Kaizen denied the irrefutable reality, a classic case of delusion, Earthmelon continued.

"I don't care whether it's your first name or second name. I never told you before because it was related to Watermelon.

"It doesn't make sense to bring up any topic related to her if she wasn't going to return. That would only cause sadness.

"But since it's already out in the open, I might as well say it.

"Your name…it's Morden."

As Firemelon celebrated, Kaizen stood rooted in place, frozen in shock as if struck by lightning.

…Morden?

……This little red slime?

………He is Morden?

GODDAMN FUCKING MORDEN?

THE CELESTIAL EMPEROR WHO ORIGINATED FROM THIS PLANET?

27. Treasured Land New
As Firemelon celebrated obtaining two names in a single day, Kaizen stood frozen in shock.

Celestial Emperor Morden, bearing the title The Recluse at the Summit, was one of the very few Celestial Emperors who had never hunted him.

The reason was there in his title itself.

This Celestial Emperor was quite literally a homebody. A complete introvert.

He had little interest in anything, content with staying home and experimenting with his powers.

Weapons, cultivation techniques, secret inheritances. None of it particularly appealed to him.

Due to the same reason, he had almost no enemies. However, Kaizen had no idea that this Celestial Emperor was a slime.

Even though one could acquire traits of another race, they still couldn't change their own inherent race.

Yet…I somehow became a dragon. Could it be that one could indeed change their race and it was just me who didn't know that?

Kaizen left that thought for later as some memories surfaced in his mind.

Oh wait…

No wonder the intelligence of the slimes underwent a drastic transformation.

There were rumors that Celestial Emperor Morden had a hand behind it, but due to insufficient evidence, it was never confirmed.

But if that Celestial Emperor was a slime, everything made sense.

There was a moment of silence in his mind as he considered his future actions. The appearance of a future powerhouse changed quite a bit of his plans.

Hmmm…

Sorry little guy.

Your two brothers will get proper identities and a place to live in.

But something will go wrong during your registration.

As an illegal immigrant, you can only stay by my side for protection.

Kaizen looked at his future teammate with the gentle kindness of an elder who had already decided your fate without consulting you.

Well, judging from their size and manner of speech, they are just children.

Children need to be taught the unpredictable harshness of the world or else they'll grow up to be insufferable brats if everything proceeds smoothly.

Now that he knew their names, Kaizen moved on to what he had actually come here for.

"Guys, since we'll be leaving this place, is there anything you want to take with you? Anything valuable?"

He stressed the last word.

Firemelon was the one who answered with a small hop.

"There's nothing worth bringing. Well, except our playground. But I don't think it can be taken away."

Kaizen smiled at Firemelon while replying.

"Can you take me to your playground?"

This time it was Earthmelon who responded with a yes.

They didn't walk far. After only a couple of minutes, Kaizen began noticing tiny purple fragments floating in the air.

Airmelon pointed ahead.

"When you move through this area, it changes your speed.

"Purple fragments accelerate you by a hundred percent. Green by fifty percent, and yellow by seventy five percent.

"Going through white fragments means your pace will be reduced by twenty percent. Orange by forty percent. Blue by ninety percent.

"Red fragments will slowly force you to a complete halt no matter your speed. Be careful. It will hurt.

"If you accidentally crash into tunnel walls at high speed, well, obviously, it will hurt more."

Kaizen's eyes shone as he listened, sensing the aura of the place.

This looks like a Treasured Land for movement skills!

Treasured lands was a term used to describe places which accelerated your understanding of a cultivation skill.

Kaizen wasted no time testing it out. Even though he couldn't stay here to strengthen himself due to the pressure of the survival mission, there was no harm in just trying out.

Approximately ten minutes later, he exited the lands with endless ideas brewing in his mind and with a boost to his movement skill.

[Thousand Shadow Mirage Pace gained 1000 experience.]

[Apex: 99,008,803,216,824/100,000,000,000,000]

This speed doesn't feel enhanced.

System2, cultivation skills don't get the 100x experience benefit?

[No.]

Well, figured as much. No worries.

Kaizen quickly moved on to the other discovery.

Hmm, it'll take 22 years to push it to the Supreme level going at that rate.

But he knew cultivation skill progression was never that linear.

You had to meditate on the skill's workings, fight countless battles to smooth out imperfections, and brush against life and death to break through certain nuances.

Every action gave a different amount of experience.

Treasured Lands helped convert the potential understanding into real progress. In short, it accelerated what you would have already understood given time.

What it didn't do however was help you break through major bottlenecks tied to subtle workings of the cultivation skill. One could only achieve those by chance, mostly in life and death situations.

The mastery of cultivation skills were vital, as each level of mastery further increased the efficiency. It included damage, defense, speed, Qi cost, or anything which the cultivation skill was geared towards.

System2, can you display the efficiency growth for each tier of mastery? Oh yea, also provide the required experience at each level.

Kaizen only had a rough approximation in mind, and couldn't calculate it as accurately as the system.

[Entry level mastery grants no added efficiency. The universe doesn't reward you for doing the bare minimum.]

[Entry to Refined - 0/10,000.]
[Refined - 10%]

[Refined to Seamless - 0/10,000,000]
[Seamless - 27.5%]

[Seamless to Apex - 0/10,000,000,000]
[Apex - 52.5%]

[Apex to Supreme - 0/100,000,000,000,000]
[Supreme - 87.5%]

I see. So those are accurate efficiency bonuses huh.

Since I had no system to accurately display my stats, I must have understood some minor breakthrough as some major mastery jump which made me think my movement skill was at peak mastery.

Kaizen was deep in thought as he witnessed the color fragments of this movement oriented Treasured Land fading ever so slightly.

Most Treasured Lands were limited. At one point, they would run out of the enhancement they could provide.

In his past life, Kaizen was chased to the ends of the world for three major reasons.

First, he had found an extraordinarily valuable Treasure Land.

This was the major reason he had almost three cultivation skills at Supreme level in approximately hundred years when just taking one to the peak took thousands of years.

Second, his Mythic grade sword.

One could say that without this sword, Kaizen was only a bit stronger than an average rank 9.

It was this sword which put him at the absolute peak.

Third, well, that was for later.

Kaizen asked the slimes.

"How far does this playground of yours stretch to?"

Earthmelon answered.

"This is one end. It has two other ends which are veryyyyyyy far away."

Kaizen mentally facepalmed at the description but he nevertheless understood what he meant. This Treasured Land most likely had the shape of 'Y' as well.

As he led them out of the tunnel, various ideas were already brewing in his mind. He asked.

"Say, do you happen to have a map of where each color is situated?"

"Yes."

28. Things going wrong everywhere New
Kaizen drew a few stares as he walked through the city with three slimes in tow, but that was all. People roamed around with all kinds of beasts. This barely registered as unusual.

Before bringing them out, he had already notified them about their oddity of being able to speak.

As far as he knew, the intelligence of the slime race had not yet undergone its major leap, so being able to speak at rank 1 eluded to something extraordinary like a strong bloodline or treasure.

To avoid unnecessary trouble, he told them not to speak in front of anyone, and to act just like normal wild slimes.

To blackmail—cough—build teamspirit, he was holding Firemelon close to his chest with one hand while the other two hopped behind him.

Kaizen had already informed his elder brother about his plan to keep Firemelon with him, and the latter had agreed to help handle it.

As he neared the city border, his brows furrowed at the sight of a massive crowd.

While passing through the bunch of people, he gradually pieced together everything relying on his extraordinary hearing.

An unrest in the neighbouring empire?

The emperor of the Moriem Empire is the strongest person of that region, an internal disturbance should have been nearly impossible unless something happened to the ruler himself.

Kaizen felt an urgency deep in his bones as he felt the unstable atmosphere.

I need to hurry up and figure out at least something about the survival mission.

For now, I have the Treasured Land through which I can run away. But that's an escape mechanism, I need something to actually confront whatever it is that is coming.

A deep seated urge for power gripped him as he entered the city.

Witnessing the heavy atmosphere in the city, his brows furrowed even further.

What now?

Just like before, his excellent hearing as a rank 1 allowed him to understand what was happening.

The tribes of Wilderlands have launched an attack?

It is said to be one of the biggest among the last century?

What was going on?

Could my survival mission have something to do with all of these?

From what he gathered, ancestral treasures had gone missing from the treasury of numerous tribes.

Under masterful leadership of one particular tribe, instead of letting that evolve into internal conflict, that rage was funneled towards the Aeonhart Empire.

Logically, it didn't have anything to do with his survival mission. But, what if?

With head full of thoughts, he headed towards the registration building of the empire.

True to his word, he secured legal identities for two of the slimes, ignoring the odd stare the clerk gave him. It was like registering pets as citizens.

But the concept of having a legal identity was so casual and loosely bound in this world that the lady didn't give him any trouble. He didn't even need to announce his status as the prince.

To be honest, he was actually looking forward to the part of announcing his identity.

Naturally, very naturally, and definitely without any intervention of external factors, something went wrong during Firemelon's registration of a legal identity.

For absolutely no selfish reasons whatsoever, Firemelon would have to remain by Kaizen's side for protection, while the other two slimes would reside in a nearby house arranged by the fourth prince, who had already informed Kaizen about the arrangement.

Kaizen accepted this outcome with the calm dignity of a man who definitely had not planned for it to turn out exactly this way.

On his way back home, Kaizen spotted the figure of the very same fourth prince, his elder brother Adrian, walking toward him.

This time, however, the familiar right hand man who usually hovered beside Adrian was absent. In his place was an unfamiliar young man.

With his enhanced eyesight, he saw that the young man's hands were webbed.

Did his ancestors fuck a duck?

Kaizen immediately shook his head.

No no no, I shouldn't be so demeaning towards strangers.

His ancestors could've also fucked a water dragon.

Hmmm wait…

Am I being demeaning towards the duck now?

Before Kaizen's thoughts could lead him further down the rabbit hole, Adrian spoke, having gotten close enough to talk and noticed his younger brother looking at the young man by his side.

"My dear little brother, meet this young genius. I recruited him all the way from Planet Gomoku to serve under me.

"I must say, the Cosmic University sure does charge a lot for their teleportation portals, especially since he is at the peak of the Foundation Establishment realm."

Foundation Establishment was rank 3 of the cultivation domain.

Kaizen snapped out of his thoughts and greeted the young man, who simply bowed back.

"What did you decide regarding the party?"

Kaizen nodded at Adrian's question.

"I'll go make some acquaintances."

They were referring to the party organized by the president of the student council of the Cosmic University.

Kaizen had indeed thought this through and decided to attend it.

Any new source of information was more than welcome to him at this point.

After that, he would resume his hunting to level up.

"Where are you going?"

Kaizen asked his elder brother, who had a helpless smile on his face as he answered.

"I need to meet the representatives of the Church of the Unfinished Grace. Their priest died in my territory so they want an explanation."

Kaizen jogged his memory, and remembered that a priest from that church had indeed arrived to deal with the Tolko ghost. The one whose special ability was stealing lifespan.

Now even a priest has died. Although priests are as powerful as a rank 3 and not the strongest combatant of the two churches on this planet, a death of such a major figure is indeed concerning.

It feels like the world is collapsing all of a sudden.

His brows furrowed.

"But his death isn't your responsibility, is it? It was the Tolko ghost who killed him."

Adrian nodded, and explained.

"The thing is, Aeonhart Empire is the only region where the churches don't have a branch. They aren't allowed to preach here.

"With this incident, they have seen an opportunity. They'll cling to any excuse they can find to force their way into the empire

"Since this happened in my territory, I have become the target of their unreasonable demands."

"Do let me know if you need my help."

Adrian beamed at Kaizen's intention to help as he replied.

"Just knowing you thought of helping me is enough. I can handle it. Don't worry."

After some small talk, they each went their own way.

It looks like the majority of the money which he could've used for his political campaign to aim for the throne was redirected towards personal safety and other things since he has relinquished his claim.

Given the unrest in the empire and a major power like the church pressing aggressively, Kaizen couldn't fault that decision.

He would have done the same.

Shrugging, Kaizen continued walking, then paused.

Something from the conversation clicked.

Before going to the party, it looks like there's something I need to do.

It might not contribute much to his current predicament of survival mission, but it would help immensely with his state of mind.

29. I've got no money New
Kaizen dropped the two slimes off at their new home and carried Firemelon with him to the Cosmic University.

He booked an expensive private carriage worth 200 SC for a quick round trip.
There were cheaper options, but they ran on fixed schedules and wouldn't depart on his time. On top of that, they were slower.

However, the comfort made it worth it along with the numerous delicacies he was provided.

He passed the time reviewing all the information he currently had while making small talk with Firemelon.

The little guy was not at all daunted by the unfamiliar sights, but was still as energetic.

Just what happened that he became such a homebody later on?

When he thought of his brothers, and of Watermelon, Kaizen recollected how the Celestial Emperor Morden in his past life was known to have no family.

His gaze darkened as he thought of that.

Did something happen to Firemelon's siblings in the past life? Maybe I can help him deal with that later. The matter with Watermelon seems to be more complicated than I thought.

When the carriage finally arrived at the famed Cosmic University, Kaizen didn't pause to admire the grandeur of its architecture. Instead, he immediately asked for directions to the teleportation formation.

His status as a prince of the Aeonhart Empire granted him entry onto the campus, though he was informed he would be under heavy surveillance.

Kaizen had no problem with that.

A staff member directed him toward a dome, where the lady behind the counter asked him to flare his aura and to present his university ID card.

Kaizen shook his head and spoke.

"I am not here to use the teleportation formation. I just want the list of destinations it connects to."

The lady gave him a once over but calmly handed him a sheet. It wasn't an unusual request since plenty of people wanted to know their options before teleporting.

Kaizen gazed over the list of planets with a serious expression. It was a matter of huge importance to him.

There…

I found it…

Planet Kyuret…

This teleportation formation leads to that planet…

The planet where I was found in my past life…

Goosebumps spread all over his body as he let the implications of it settle down in his mind.

This might indeed be my true origin. The possibility of them being my true family went up significantly.

One might wonder, in past life when he was investigating his origin, surely he would have also investigated the teleportation formations of Planet Kyuret?

Back then, he must've seen the name of Planet Calan listed among the possible destinations.

Then, in current life, when he came to know that his current planet was called Calan, couldn't he have realized this back then?

The problem was, Planet Calan later went on to become one of the major teleportation hubs.

So naturally, it wouldn't waste resources to maintain its connection to an ordinary planet like Kyuret.

Major teleportation centers only connected to others of its kind and minor centers.

Which meant the connection had been severed long before he started digging in his past life.

This is why he didn't have this realization back when he came to know this planet was called Calan.

His mind finally eased as he returned the list and headed back to the carriage.

Firemelon's presence beside him only helped calm him down further.

When he returned to his home, he dropped Firemelon, changed into something presentable and made his way towards the party.

On the way, he met someone familiar, Steve, who asked.

"Yo, where are you going?"

When Kaizen mentioned his destination, Steve looked at him in surprise.

"Wow, I'm heading there too. My father is an alumnus of that university, so he got me in through some connections."

He hesitated, then added awkwardly.

"I'm actually quite nervous. As weird as it sounds, even though I'm a noble, I've never really been to parties."

Something in Kaizen's brain misfired.

He immediately threw an arm around Steve's shoulders like they were lifelong brothers and smiled brightly.

"Is that so? Let me impart some sagely advice then.

"At a party, your favorite beer is free, and your second favorite beer is cold. Don't ask for your brand."

Steve was about to protest about the arm when he heard the tip.

"...That's actually good."

However shortly after, his brows furrowed.

"Huh? Wait. Are we going to the party to drink?"

Kaizen, whose thinking had corrected itself, released him and fell into dignified silence, refusing to acknowledge the question in any capacity.

Steve stared for a second, then promptly forgot about it and shifted topics.

After glancing around, he leaned in and lowered his voice.

"By the way… do you know? I think a certain someone has run out of money."

Kaizen was confused at first. Then he remembered Steve's noble background, and the method a certain rich prince was using to buy loyalty among the nobles.

"How?"

Steve shrugged.

"You really gotta wonder how he used up all the money despite his mother being the princess of the Moriem empire.

"I know of this because my father had made a deal with him. The benefits were supposed to arrive today. Well, they didn't. So that's the only conclusion I can draw."

He waved it off.

"Doesn't matter, really. My father's support will suddenly face complications as well. Nothing else."

Kaizen didn't comment.

When they reached the venue, Kaizen inwardly marvelled at the wealth of the student council president when he saw how extravagantly decorated the place was.

After verifying their identities and entering, both of them split up.

Kaizen was just about to start exploring on his own when he noticed someone familiar walking up to him.

He immediately greeted the orange haired young woman with a smile.

"Alice, you're here too?"

She returned a brilliant smile of her own.

"Well, my brother is the one throwing the party. Of course I had to be here haha."

Kaizen raised an eyebrow.

"Damn. The new president is your brother? That's a surprise."

Alice let out a small sigh, one that sounded more relieved than tired.

"You know, I'm actually glad he's throwing a party.

"After his girlfriend passed away, he spent all his time locked in his room. The last time he came out was when he visited her grave.

"Seeing him return to his previous self… it takes a weight off my mind."

Kaizen offered her a comforting smile but didn't say anything.

As they continued chatting, Alice began pointing out several notable figures from the Cosmic University.

30. Eccentric characters New
As they walked through the hall, Kaizen noticed that almost everyone was carrying weapons or various artifacts. Because of that, it wasn't strange that the outline of his Wave Greave was clearly visible around the calf area of his pants.

His Simple Arm Brace was far more subtle, hidden neatly beneath his shirt.

Alice gestured toward a well built blond young man sipping whiskey while chatting with several women.

"That's Tyler. A senior student and the current vice captain of this planet's Cosmic University's team. He is in the early Foundation Establishment realm.

"In case you don't know, Cosmic University conducts a tournament every year among planets of the same star cluster.

"Tyler is pretty famous for maintaining an undefeated streak against the team of Planet Yui, who have been champions for four years straight.

"Well, if you're wondering why we aren't champions despite beating them, it's because we always get defeated multiple times by other teams, dropping our ranks."

Kaizen chuckled.

"That's rather weird."

Alice nodded in agreement.

"Right? It's as if Tyler suddenly becomes stronger whenever he is facing Team Yui.

"It is said that when he was still a junior, Team Yui refused to shake hands with him after defeating his team. He's held a grudge ever since."

"Interesting character."

"Sure is."

Alice then pointed to a lone young man in the corner of the hall. His skin was so pale it almost looked white, which contrasted sharply to his dark purple eyes.

Kaizen noticed that he was already on his third shot of vodka ever since he walked in. Who knew how many the young man already had before he entered.

"That is Kyle. He is said to be the most talented among the Cosmic Universities of our star cluster. Possibly even across the entire Southern Super Star Cluster when it comes to combat. Or more specifically, killing.

"He has even defeated several professors when they sealed their power to battle him at the same rank."

Kaizen's brows lifted slightly.

"There is just one issue," Alice continued. "He is very quick to go for the kill, with very little tolerance.

"The university didn't put him on the team for the same reason. But seeing how abysmal our results in the last tournament were, he might get a chance this time.

"As you know, there are many who resort to trash talking to provoke their opponent or for other reasons.

"I just hope the referees are fast enough to save his opponents."

Alice then pointed at a white haired young woman who was in a combat suit, casually holding a chicken leg. She would occasionally contribute to the conversation around her, then return to eating.

"She is Marianna. Everyone who's ever fought her refuses to fight her again.

"Marianna has lost all the matches she has fought, but even so, her opponents never agree to a rematch.

"They say they don't want to experience her fighting style again. It makes them feel disgusted, as if their victory wasn't earned properly."

Alice proceeded to introduce other famous figures of the Cosmic University but they weren't as eccentric as the first three.

She was definitely quite a chatterbox, because after that she smoothly transitioned into gossiping about the empire's political affairs.

"By the way, I've got my hands on some insider news on the second prince.

"You know how he has the majority of the ministers of the royal court on his side thanks to his mother, the current empress, right?

"The thing is, rather than support, it's more like blackmail.

"The empress provided him with several pieces of information which had leverage over the numerous ministers."

"Damn."

Kaizen specifically stressed the word.

One prince was buying the nobles, the other was threatening the ministers, what next?

Alice lowered her voice and continued.

"That's not all. The second prince is said to be extremely cautious.

"Since the first prince has connections to the Moriem empire through his mother, he is especially wary of mind control.

"He has even gone as far as purging the memories of those leverages from his and his mother's mind."

Kaizen had a confused expression as he spoke.

"Huh? Doesn't that mean he lost those leverages?"

"Wait for me to complete!"

Alice hushed him, and continued, clearly enjoying this far too much.

"Before purging those memories, he gave all those leverages to someone.

"I haven't found any leads on who that could be. All I know is that the second prince once spoke a cryptic line when he was drunk."

She quoted him quietly.

"My secret shall be known only to the person who values theirs the most."

Alice smiled.

"These sorts of riddles are exactly what information gatherers like me love.

"I've deduced that this person has a devastating secret of their own, which the second prince knows.

"And since the second prince has leverage over that person, they won't dare do anything funny with the important information they were entrusted with."

Kaizen felt a headache forming.

This is so much trouble. Good thing I haven't taken any actions which could even remotely be interpreted to wanting the throne.

I suppose this is why I am still safe.

Kaizen was just about to offer a few empty words when the atmosphere in the hall shifted.

Attention turned toward the newcomers.

You see, the ones who entered wore robes with unmistakable symbols of the church.

It was common knowledge that the Cosmic University didn't allow people from the church to enroll, even if the latter was tolerant of the university. Publicly, at least.

Their presence here was unexpected. This was a party hosted by the student council president of the Cosmic University.

Did the president maintain any connections to the Churches even if the Cosmic University was known to publicly stand against them?

Alice leaned in and whispered before excusing herself.

"I'll have to go assist my brother in handling this. If there's one thing he values the most aside from his girlfriend, it's his reputation."

Kaizen nodded, and gave one last look to the people from church before moving towards Kyle, the genius with a high tendency to go for the kill.

He planned to meet with Alice, who, given her nature, would gladly tell him what had happened.

So rather than follow Alice, he would instead meet the person he found the most interesting.

31. A whore for information New
Kaizen was already more than satisfied with what he had gained from attending the party.

The survival mission still lingered at the back of his mind.

Something which could threaten his life.

What could the possible sources be?

One, someone who was personally intent on killing him.

Two, a large-scale destruction which would sweep away everything indiscriminately, including him.

So far, the only large-scale catastrophe he could think of was the empire being engulfed in flames of war.

And even that was contingent on the ancestor failing to keep the throne war contained.

As for someone having sights on him? Kaizen could only think of one reason. His identity as the fifth prince.

He hadn't made any enemies yet, no grudges, no vendettas. So it could only be this identity which was the source of trouble.

And who would see a prince as a problem in an empire locked in a succession struggle?

The other contenders for the throne.

By coming to this party, he managed to get information on both the crown prince and the second prince.

Even though he still hadn't managed to figure out who was targeting him, at least he had information on the people who could possibly want his life.

Yes, he didn't yet know how he could use this information but some progress was still better than none.

As he neared Kyle, the young man looked his way and immediately frowned.

Wow, that level of patience is even lesser than I thought.

Kaizen didn't stop or retreat though. He hadn't lived a century to be intimidated by a kid.

As he kept his eyes on him, he noticed Kyle shifting his gaze to his calf, the frown even more pronounced now.

Ofc he would notice my Wave Greave, but it seems he didn't notice my Simple Arm Brace.

When he was finally within range of talking, it was Kyle who spoke first.

"Keep your right hand away from me."

Kaizen raised an eyebrow and used his left hand to initiate a hand shake. Kyle did not leave him hanging.

Okay, I'll take my words back.

His Simple Arm Brace was on his right hand.

I might actually get something here.

"I wanted your advice."

Kyle lifted his head slightly, signaling Kaizen to continue.

Sure, I've lived for a long time and know a lot of things. But sometimes our thinking becomes constrained.

A new perspective helps in cases like this.

"If you knew you were going to die.

"What methods do you think it could happen by? Or the reasons behind it?"

Frown returned on Kyle's face as he asked.

"Are you threatening me?"

To which Kaizen chuckled.

"I didn't even know you existed until a few minutes ago. Why would I bother threatening you?

"I only asked you this question because I felt it came under your domain of expertise."

Kyle didn't comment on the thinly veiled jab, but fell in thought about his hypothetical question.

Who better to ask about death and killing than one who loves it so much?

Kaizen mused while Kyle downed another shot of vodka before answering.

"Well, if you know you're going to die, it can be divided into two main methods.

"First, someone is specifically out there for you.

"Second, you are collateral damage in a large-scale destruction. Dying to collateral damage is humiliating I must say, but it is what it is."

He shrugged lightly.

"And like you said, it is indeed my area of expertise, but not large scale destruction so I can't help you with that."

He stopped, and considered his next words while squeezing a lemon in his mouth.

"As for personally killing someone.

"There are plenty of reasons and methods.

"One, you offended them deeply. Or they hate you enough to want you dead.

"Two, you're an obstacle to their goal. That goal could be freedom, power, resources, anything.

"Three, extending from the second point, you might be the obstacle, or you might be the goal itself. Maybe they want your blood. Your bones. Something else.

"Four, you're a bargaining chip. They want you dead, alive, or under control for leverage.

"Five," he added after a brief pause, "most other reasons are just variations of the second."

After that Kyle fell deep into thought, not even taking the shot of vodka he had prepared while talking.

He opened his mouth, closed it, then opened it again, as if whatever he was considering felt unreal even to him.

Kaizen waited patiently as he not-so-sneakily took the shot of vodka Kyle had prepared for himself.

Waste was a sin.

A heavy burn tore through his throat, forcing him to cough, which earned him a weird stare from Kyle even in his contemplative state.

I forgot this body isn't the one from my past life.

Kaizen thought as he squeezed lemon into his mouth and followed it up with some salt.

Even so, this body had already been reinforced twice over through two domains at rank 1. The fact that the vodka still burned meant one thing.

This wasn't normal alcohol. It was tailored for practitioners of domains.

That crazy president has enough money to provide such drinks and this madman even dares to drink it like water.

In the end, Kyle did end up speaking.

"Well, there could be a third method in which you might die."

Kaizen looked back at him.

"That is, if you choose it yourself."

Kyle paused, choosing his words carefully.

"Not suicide exactly. More like giving up your life for something bigger.

"Like soldiers. Or parents trying to protect their kid. Something of the sort.

"The kind where you feel it is better off if you kill yourself."

Kaizen nodded, but didn't ask Kyle why he took so much time trying to say it.

Maybe the idea of sacrificing oneself was absurd to Kyle?

As Kaizen thanked him and turned to leave, Kyle said something which made him pause.

"If I were you, I'd get that weapon checked."

Kaizen followed his gaze to his leg.

The Wave Greave.

He nodded in acknowledgement and walked away, heading towards where the people of the church stood.

Moments earlier, he had seen arguments getting heated there, and a crowd was gathering.

I've been going anywhere and everywhere in search of any kind of information whatsoever.

He exhaled quietly.

I feel like a whore for information.

He transmigrated twice yes. From first world to second world, then when the first world became a playground for second world, he went from second world to first world whose timeline was regressed. And no, he can't hop between worlds, at least not yet. I'll post the following chapters in the next few days, hopefully your remaining doubt would be solved.
OK but how? There was no transition, its ridiculously jarring. At lead have him go to sleep or something first.

Also this whole double transmigration thing feels frivolous. Like you decided it at the last second.
What is going on here? Tell me more.

[No. Do it yourself.]

Are you sentient?

[Else what? idiot.]
Oh fuck no, sentient systems, especially asshole types, always suck.
Termed as 'Class' in his status screen, the same thing was called a 'Domain' in the Nine Heavens.

There were five.

Cultivation.
Artifact Refining.
Alchemy.
Formation Engraving.
Oathkeeping.
That's really weird. Those all sound like skills, not classes. And making them exclusive is even weirder.
"You've grown just like anyone your age in body, cognitive capability, languages, and understanding of the world. Maybe just a bit more innocent, since you haven't lived it yourself.
What? I can see them keeping his body healthy but the rest makes no sense, especially when you already made it a point he has no memories from before the second transmigration. And he hasn't shown any understanding.
Immediately, Kaizen gave him a list. He didn't make any exorbitant demands, mindful of the Fourth Prince's situation.
Sure, cause the guy who just woke up from a lifelong coma would know what he needs or what they cost in this era.
"That means there would be plenty of powerful people in the age range of 30s studying in the same group as me. I am going there to find myself a sugar mommy."
Respect, gotta respect the hustle.
[Your 100x multiplier is in effect due to the efforts of the system. It's only natural that the functions of the system will require similar dedication from the host.]
So why bother with the multiplier? This is such a stupid nerf. Why even bother naming the story after the cheat if you're just going to get rid of it the second time it comes up?
He had only noticed it because his gaze drifted that way by accident. He was not some trained monster tracker in his past life.
So I guess being the strongest in his previous life mean nothing. All his combat skills are gone because he is now a "dragon" and his personal skills are just gone.

The annoying system was bad but the constant nerfs that completely invalidate his reincarnation honestly killed this.

OK but how? There was no transition, its ridiculously jarring. At lead have him go to sleep or something first.
Uhhh, he did go to sleep.

Below is the para copy pasted from chapter one.
///After doing a brief check of his power, he went to sleep as the exhaustion crept in.

… …

… … …

[The System has detected another power system trying to attach itself to the host.]///

This is where he transmigrates again, so technically he did sleep before it happened.

lso this whole double transmigration thing feels frivolous. Like you decided it at the last second.
It's definitely not decided at the last moment. There's a big ass plot related to this I made before even writing the first chapter.

What? I can see them keeping his body healthy but the rest makes no sense, especially when you already made it a point he has no memories from before the second transmigration. And he hasn't shown any understanding.
It's a fantasy world. Treasures were used to make sure he has the rest as well along with a healthy body. Maybe I should remove the fact that he inherited no memories since I also later wrote that 'understanding of the world' was instilled in him through treasures. Thank you for pointing this part out. Really.

Sure, cause the guy who just woke up from a lifelong coma would know what he needs or what they cost in this era.
Umm...earlier he was given basic information. Did you consider that all such basic stuff would be covered?

So why bother with the multiplier? This is such a stupid nerf. Why even bother naming the story after the cheat if you're just going to get rid of it the second time it comes up?
I haven't gotten rid of it? Purely in terms of progress of power, he is still at 100x boost. Its just the other aspects which I've nerfed, like the shop, and in the long run it'll make sense too since the shop comes under the sentient system's authority (has a plot behind it). The impartial, no awareness, robotic system covers the evolution aspects so you won't see any ridiculous prices there, he has an advantage in draconic evolution since no 100x tax.

So I guess being the strongest in his previous life mean nothing. All his combat skills are gone because he is now a "dragon" and his personal skills are just gone.
He was the strongest in previous life due to reasons mentioned later in the chapters. And honestly, he was strongest in combat, what does monster hunting skills have to do with it? Two unrelated fields. Its like asking a football top scorer why can't you spot a bug in the program code of a game.

Also, the only skills he 'lost' in the true sense were earth rank skills since they won't align with his draconic form.

Below are some paragraphs from chapter.

///As to why his three highest mastery skills just so happened to be Heaven type? It wasn't luck, it was because they were the only inclusive ones, applicable to any race.///

His earth rank skills were anyways not as strong as his heaven ranked ones.

///For someone who had no backing in his past life, they were more easily obtained.///

For all it could mean to the readers, it might point out that he had less earth rank skills than heaven ranked ones.

I think the tradeoff is worth it considering so many advantages that he has received. (Going back in time, 100x progress, only npc with system which includes shop and everything since the rest of the npc don't even have that (biggest hidden advantage), draconic evolution, awakened an ability, and a few more hidden advantages not yet revealed.)

I really don't understand why so much nitpicking was done here. I am grateful for some really good points you made, while for some it caused me mild annoyance.

I'll end with the remark that arc 1 has a really amazing end at least from my end, you may choose to drop after that if the story really has that many bad points. And well, if you've already dropped, thanks for your opinions.

Have a good day!

Fair enough but it was still too abrupt. He woke up in his second life, looked around a bit, went to sleep and woke up in another world.
It's definitely not decided at the last moment. There's a big ass plot related to this I made before even writing the first chapter.
I guess but it doesn't excuse how it was written. A future plot point doesn't make the current events make sense.
It's a fantasy world. Treasures were used to make sure he has the rest as well along with a healthy body. Maybe I should remove the fact that he inherited no memories since I also later wrote that 'understanding of the world' was instilled in him through treasures. Thank you for pointing this part out. Really.
My point was more as to why would they? Im sure any world with magic could but that feels like brainwashing.
Umm...earlier he was given basic information. Did you consider that all such basic stuff would be covered?
How would the basics cover detailed training? Does basic knowledge cover what you need to study to be an engineer?
I haven't gotten rid of it? Purely in terms of progress of power, he is still at 100x boost. Its just the other aspects which I've nerfed, like the shop, and in the long run it'll make sense too since the shop comes under the sentient system's authority (has a plot behind it). The impartial, no awareness, robotic system covers the evolution aspects so you won't see any ridiculous prices there, he has an advantage in draconic evolution since no 100x tax.
So he has 2 systems? Ugh, this just makes the sentient one even more unlikable. But okay, just so long as you don't inflate the draconic stuff too.
He was the strongest in previous life due to reasons mentioned later in the chapters. And honestly, he was strongest in combat, what does monster hunting skills have to do with it? Two unrelated fields. Its like asking a football top scorer why can't you spot a bug in the program code of a game.
What? If he was the strongest combatant then fighting should be easy for him. That includes things like battlefield awareness, coordination, and reflexes. They are not 2 completely unrelated fields. Didn't you say cultivators needed to hunt for rare treasures? That would usually require some monster hunting, no?

Using real world comparisons, its like a having a master marksman go hunting. Its something they excel at.

He only had 2 skills below heaven? That's insane for the world's strongest. Especially when his heaven ranked ones are so simplistic.

But that wasn't what was talking about (even if I do find it annoying), I meant his skills as in the things he learned. Like how to swing a sword. His previous system wasn't a game one so all his skills were something he actually had to train and learn like a normal person would so him completely losing them makes no sense. You would think the strongest would at least be familiar enough with his skills to modify them to fit his new body too.
I really don't understand why so much nitpicking was done here. I am grateful for some really good points you made, while for some it caused me mild annoyance.
While I will admit some of my points were nitpicky, most were valid criticisms that I simply failed to word appropriately due to how annoyed I was by them. I stuck at putting into words exactly what I mean but if I had to summarize its the story feels half done. You're trying to set up future plot points without actually addressing the current plot. Look back at most of your responses, you repeatedly said its for a future plot point or arc.

Take the skills and how I said it felt like his cheat was invalidates by a stupid nerf. If you had simply shown him looking to see if anything else has an increased cost then it would've worked better. The mc should've been annoyed by the system charging him more as without checking it does looking it invalidates his cheat.

Other stuff is just you having a weird view of things like saying a cultivator known for his combat skills wouldn't have basic combat skills just cause he reincarnated. In no world does that make sense.

Anyway, sorry to annoy you. Just got too invested and commented why annoyed.

Fair enough but it was still too abrupt. He woke up in his second life, looked around a bit, went to sleep and woke up in another world.
So umm, I'm interpreting that there need to be some transition period between going from second world back to main world? According to the plot working in background, he needs to be asleep/unconscious for him to return to cultivation world. Is there an example you would mind giving? Because otherwise, at the moment (maybe I'll need to think more about it later), I really can't think of anything other than - sleep then back to cultivation world. This might be the second or third time I'm getting this input so I really might need to work on it. But the thing is, the first chapter already feels too big at 2.7k words. It might not be that compared to other novels but my usual chapters are 1k-1.2k so comparatively its already big, and I wanted to put all the major hooks in the first chapter itself. Maybe all of that fast paced scene changing got too jarring. I'll see what I can do about it without expanding the chapter even more, in the meantime, any edit would be welcome.
I guess but it doesn't excuse how it was written. A future plot point doesn't make the current events make sense.
Fair. I'll think about this one too.
How would the basics cover detailed training? Does basic knowledge cover what you need to study to be an engineer?
Noooo. You only asked about the cost right? I'm pretty sure a basic guide would cover the cost of basic needs. If it still feels out of place, I'll expand upon that 'understanding of the world'. Also, I don't think it's brainwashing if the information is objectively stated without any personal bias.
We could go on and on about the brainwashing part using philosophy and psychology but please cut me some slack here. I'm pretty sure you and the rest of the readers understand why I wrote that. It was a convenient plot device if I may be straightforward.
So he has 2 systems? Ugh, this just makes the sentient one even more unlikable. But okay, just so long as you don't inflate the draconic stuff too.
Not two systems technically, but yes you can interpret it like that for the ease of things. Also, the draconic stuff was just around chapter 16 17 something I guess? See it for yourself. Those are dirt cheap.

At higher ranks, you simply have divine sense and the likes which can easily spot enemies hiding through physical means. So he didn't really need this skill.
But again, I understand your point. I need to manage what I know and what readers know. I'll go and fix it.
He only had 2 skills below heaven? That's insane for the world's strongest. Especially when his heaven ranked ones are so simplistic.
Might as well tell you now what I already wrote in later chapters. He relied on the sword to become the strongest. Without it, he was at best, above average among rank 9.
This. Is. In. The. Later. Chapters. Too. Takes a deep breath to calm down.

Basically, cultivators have a LOTS of Qi lines in their bodies. We are talking in Billions and trillions. When you circulate Qi through a specific path of Qi lines, it produces a specific effect. This effect is cultivation skill. Now, finding this correct Qi line while making a skill, takes lots and lots of trial and error and work.

Yes, he knows how to swing a sword and so on. But let's say he had a cultivation skill called, Triple Fire Slash. The set of Qi lines to execute that cultivation skill would be vastly different in human and dragon bodies.
Trying to make Triple Fire Slash in a draconic body using the reference of Qi lines of human body is a fool's errand. He'll only end up injuring himself if he used human Qi lines as a reference. If some human Qi line enhanced your Qi sharpness, the same Qi line but in draconic body might explode it. He would need to individually test billions and trillions of Qi lines of the draconic body to see which Qi line produces what effect when Qi is passed through it and so on and so forth.

So recreating the skills isn't just copy, edit and paste. The programming of all races are vastly different, hence the need for Earth and Heaven type skills. Gosh, I'm so tired. It's midnight, I should be sleeping, but chuck it.
You're trying to set up future plot points without actually addressing the current plot. Look back at most of your responses, you repeatedly said its for a future plot point or arc.
If there are more apart from ones you've talked about, please let me know so I can address them.
Take the skills and how I said it felt like his cheat was invalidates by a stupid nerf.
If this is about recreating skills in a different body, I've explained it.
If you had simply shown him looking to see if anything else has an increased cost then it would've worked better. The mc should've been annoyed by the system charging him more as without checking it does looking it invalidates his cheat.
I don't understand the first part. I just need mc to take an active part and discover the 100x cost instead of being passive and discovering it only when he asks the system for the price. Is this it? About the second part, I just need to make kaizen look more annoyed? Sorry but I am having difficulty understanding what you wrote here.
Other stuff is just you having a weird view of things like saying a cultivator known for his combat skills wouldn't have basic combat skills just cause he reincarnated. In no world does that make sense.
Already explained why he can't have the cultivation skills. He can swing a sword and everything just like in the past, fight like a person with countless years of experience and so on. But if it comes to using Qi to execute genuine cultivation skills, no he can't do it.
Anyway, sorry to annoy you. Just got too invested and commented why annoyed.
No issues. I like readers who comment, although I must say I like flattery more. But nevertheless, this wasn't too bad so I guess I won't go to bed with a frown. With how late it is, mum will wake up anytime and I might get a reaaaaaal bad scolding. Thank you for your opinions. I'll make the changes tomorrow, its sleepy sleepy time.

Without knowing what the background plot you have is i can't really help here. My best advice would be to give him more time in the first world. Give him a week there at least.
I asked how would he knew what to ask for if he only got basic knowledge. There are surely multiple things and ways to go about it so saying its basic knowledge makes no sense. He should have asked for information on what he needs to train artifactung and what tools.
At higher ranks, you simply have divine sense and the likes which can easily spot enemies hiding through physical means. So he didn't really need this skill.
But again, I understand your point. I need to manage what I know and what readers know. I'll go and fix it.
At higher ranks but at lower ranks he would've needed to use his normal senses, no? You're putting too much weight on his Skills (qi powers) and ignoring his skills (technical skills).
This. Is. In. The. Later. Chapters. Too. Takes a deep breath to calm down.
I didn't read that far, my comments were from earlier chapters.

Okay, that should've been explained in story when he tried to recreate his old skills.
If there are more apart from ones you've talked about, please let me know so I can address them.
Haven't read more yet so I've got nothing new. Hopefully there won't be anymore.
I don't understand the first part. I just need mc to take an active part and discover the 100x cost instead of being passive and discovering it only when he asks the system for the price. Is this it? About the second part, I just need to make kaizen look more annoyed? Sorry but I am having difficulty understanding what you wrote here.
Pretty much. He's too nonchalant about it. Wouldn't you be annoyed if something decided to charge you more? He says one line and moves on. Your writing a character, he needs to act more like a character and not some npc. Its also a good way to show the readers about the system. If you had I wouldn't have had a reason to complain about the nerfed cheat. I don't know how to explain any simpler than that.
Already explained why he can't have the cultivation skills. He can swing a sword and everything just like in the past, fight like a person with countless years of experience and so on. But if it comes to using Qi to execute genuine cultivation skills, no he can't do it.
Sorry if repeating myself here but we definitely got off topic with a bit of a misunderstanding. My point wasnt about his cultivation skills (i was just pointing out how annoying that was too) but about his skills (real skills, not fancy qi powered bullshit). So he can tight like a master swordsman then he should have the knowledge on how to fight monsters (even if it wasn't a focus he should've fought plenty in his first life). He should still know enough to be on guard and alert while in the forest hunting. He should still have his relfexes (muslce memory isn't a body thing but a mind one despite the idiots who can't use google to check say). You made him act like a noob with none of that just cause he lost his previous qi skills, that is what I'm talking about when I say he should have his skills.

The fancy qi crap you explained poorly but enough to understand. If he can fight with a sword like he could in the past then he should be knowledgeable enough to not get ambushed like he almost did. Just cause he lost his qi skills and detection ability didn't mean the experiences he had should dissappear, that's what makes these reincarnation type stories fun. If he lost all that then his past life as the strongest is worse that meaningless its an active plot hole. If you wanted a character that doesn't have all that then you should've made his first life a crafter or some nobody with no power.

Like I explained, I wanted to put everything in the first chapter itself. Giving him a week in a world which doesn't have any significance to the plot makes it seem like a filler. I'm still contemplating how to make it less abrupt though.

Introductory book on artifact refining covers everything about that topic. And I feel like you're really just nitpicking about the memory thing now. I already explained why I wrote what I did. It was a convenient plot device.

I can add the fact that he was still a bit out of touch with technical skills since it had been a long time. He had to get used to the fact that he was now at a lower realm.

Do I have to explain every single thing down to last details every time I introduce some things? There's only so much I can explain at one point without making it feel like an info dump. I gotta space out the damn explanations so that the story actually moves forward without me stopping to explain everything being introduced. It also wasn't as if the explanation was hundreds of chapters far away and I kept the readers in dark for so long. It is explained just some ten or so chapters away.

Thank you. I'll do that.

Wait, when did he act like a noob without Qi skills? I've mentioned several times how efficient and deadly his fighting style was. That if they were other rank 1s present instead of him, they would've run out of Qi far earlier than him. I also wrote how easily he dispatched the beasts. His side effect of chaotic thought interferes sometimes but overall his combat capability is still strong as fuck.

Also, how do you know he doesn't have the reflexes and everything? I never displayed any lack of it? At most, I simply didn't write how he had reflexes and everything. But not writing about it doesn't equate to not being capable of those things. I just haven't focused too much on the power aspect. THAT, is what you can nitpick since I agree I am more of a plot based writer than a power creep. I'll improve upon that.
