At some point on the Future President Harmony Kendall timeline someone realized that vampires and nanomachines are incredibly cool, and that there should be more of both of those things. So they did something about it.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Hmm... On the list of potential inventions that a Spark (Harmony even looks somewhat like Agatha, though with a smaller chest) Harmony could go for as her early inventions:

1) Makeup gun. Like in SImpsons, only fully working. Given the Spark it should be able to coer the whole house in paint in less than two seconds.

2) Adjustable length stilettos. With dagger-sharp edges, and at least roller-blades. But better with jets.

3) A skirt to go with her jacket. Shield, hidden pouches, adjustable length, helicopter.

4) A butler clank.


Wait... Harmony is Lucrecia Mongfish, isn't she? They look really alike. And there is that mind-controlling egg demon that can probably be converted into a slaver wasp engine.

At least this wont be the Strangest thing that's ever happened to Othar. Being called across parallel dimensions, awakening in a completely different body, and with Monsters about attacking people?

Othar is a Wonderful person. Obsessed with Heroics and such, and he has an unhealthy fixation on slaughtering All the Sparks and then committing suicide, but still. Decent fellow.

... I ant Wait to see how he screws everything up this go round. This is Othar, if there's a way for him to screw over the Bad Guy, he Will Succeed!

Well, that doesn't sound too hard. Helicopters and Yachts already exist, so we could just... Kind of mix the two.

Here's hoping Harm-Othar doesn't get the Spark-hate, because Jonathan, Warren and Andrew were MADE to be her minions.

 

Very important question for later planning / playing: are Sparks magic or Science?

By Science I mean that they may be insane, strange and make intuitive leaps of logic, impossible for anyone else, leaving them effectively hundreds of years beyond normal people in technological development and leading to bizarro-tech we see in the series due to any single Spark having to work from generally lower level of supporting technology. But their creations are still scientific. They follow the laws of physics, even if they exploit them in ways normal people can't think of. If provided sufficient instructions, they could be replicated by normal people if those people have needed instruments. They work because Sparks understand the world.

By Magic I mean that they warp the laws of reality. They believe something, and it becomes real. Their devices work because they built them, not because of anything else. You can't make spark inventions without being a spark.

Personally, I believe that the canon Sparks are Science. It fits the theme of the comics and there is a lot of evidence for this. But I have seen other opinions.

So, if possible, I would like clarification.

 

So... It's science, right? They are magic in the way they come up with the stuff, but the results themselves are not magical?

Basically, Sparks have magical brains / reasoning / logic, but their creations by themselves are not magical.

Ok, that's good to know. And very important.

Because this means we'll be able to patent our stuff.
