Eh, I've always thought the Chaos Gacha was way to repetitive between stories to be called anything "Chaos" myself, glad to see it updated. I would to on and use it until it is of course. Or, you know, do your own updates and make your own version.

He has now studied the blade. Now he just needs to find a hat and a boat.

[Harem King]
Rare Trait
You are a harem king to be, your preffered partners are more attracted to you and society as a whole does not see a problem with you having a harem. In addition, your partners do not mind you dating others either, they might still have their own problems but the concept of a harem isn't one of them.

…you have got to be kidding me.
[Soft Hugger]
Uncommon Trait
Sometimes all you really need is a hug. Your hugs feel really nice and comforting, they also help dispel negative emotional states. Your hugs are literally therapeutic. Go figure.

…is the gacha trying to turn me into the ultimate support? I sigh and shrug, leading my squad down the street as I figure out how to share my latest rolls with them. Who knows how they will take these new developments?

So, lore accurate Cummander.

AN: Bronz says that the Chaos Gacha will be updated soon to be a bit more complex. Do you think I should hold off on further rolling until said major update happens, or should I just keep going and see if I can work in the update once it happens?
Depends on how much of an overhaul the update is. if it's a big injection of entries or just the tag system floated about in the official thread, it should be fine to say the changes were retroactively always in the pool without addressing it. If it actually fundamentally changes how you roll though... Is it going to be that big of an update, though?

"It's perfect! Clearly he hasn't been kissed before, so it would get him a ticket, yes?" Neon says, nodding proudly at her logic.
Neon is a genius. Now apply that logic to other intimate activities. Perhaps there will be a ticket for crashing into Anis' ass?
Get your first (indirect) kiss! Gain a Bronze Random Ticket!
Instantly proven correct. Dang, Rapi got that crush quick. Blink and you'll miss it.
What? That is dumb! No one can internalize tactics from that little time!
Enough time for some brainwashing and probably set up the more capable commanders for failure. They don't want another New Hope.

Option number one, please!
Nooooooo. You fool! You need this to survive! Do you have any idea how many Nikkes will be after your ass!?
Then what-

[Harem King]
Rare Trait
Lol. Commander is saved. He just won't ever realize.
your preffered partners are more attracted to you
That's basically everyone except some of the Heretics. It was happening either way, but at least they won't be at each others throats just because of some dating competition.
Bronz says that the Chaos Gacha will be updated soon to be a bit more complex
Keep going. There is no need to wait just because of some new entries and whatever else.
Eh, I've always thought the Chaos Gacha was way to repetitive between stories to be called anything "Chaos" myself, glad to see it updated
I'm pretty happy they are adding more. Lately nearly all the new CG stories I've been reading have all ended up with one or both of bitch breaker and harem king.

14. Control Center New
I end up behind Rapi, not due to slowing down, but because she and Anis sped up to take the lead positions. To be fair, I probably should not have been in the front of the group, where any ambush would have immediately taken me out. That does not make me unconcerned for their safety, and I immediately make sure View Air and Wind Alteration are in place. I scan the area around us, not finding any Raptures nearby in the air. Given that some of the monsters popped out of the ground earlier, I am not inclined to believe we are perfectly safe.

With that all said, I still need to share the other rolls I got with my team, as it is only right they know what I have available to work with. Also, Neon is staring at the right side of my face like she is decoding a hidden message on my skin. It is surprisingly uncomfortable.

"Jiiii."

"Stop that," I say, glancing sideways at her.

"Tell us."

I chuckle quietly at this, patting her shoulder reassuringly. "I am planning on it, calm down."

She leans closer, continuing to stare at my face. I stumble from her weight against my side, pushing her back so I can walk straight.

"Tell us."

"I will," I say, dodging her next attempt to bump into me.

"Commander, please tell her already, or she'll just keep this up," Anis grumbles at a volume I can still hear.

"Sure, sure," I agree, lifting up my arm. "So I think I told you about the Personal Information Processor, Pip-Boy for short, which is a computer on my wrist that monitors my health, maps the area, and can act as a flashlight. Oh, and it's got an internal fission battery."

I continue walking for a bit before realizing that their footsteps are quieter. A quick glance around confirms that Anis and Miyo have distanced themselves from me. Rapi is walking quite stiffly ahead of me, and Renamon keeps glancing at my arm. Only Neon does not seem perturbed. In fact, Neon grins eagerly at the thought of what is on my arm.

Unfortunate, but I am not going to remove such a helpful piece of equipment due to lack of comfort. Instead, I continue, gesturing to myself. "After that, I got a trait that lets me be in places I'm not supposed to, as long as I do not cause issues."

"Could be helpful," Anis calls over, still refusing to get closer.

"After that… I got an extremely loud metal pipe," I continue, my expression blank. "If you see me swinging a pipe around, please protect your hearing."

"Roger," Rapi responds, nodding once.

"Girls, when it's just us, you can be less formal," my words are said for all but directed to the strawberry blonde woman before me. "We're all friends here."

"More than friends," Neon corrects with a grin, making a motion as if signing a paper.

Oh, right, the contract. At least they are not slaves, because I would feel very uncomfortable with that.

While I'm glad you have enough conscience to disdain slavery, I'm wondering why that is in your memory above what a dog is.

Do not start.

"You saw a different trait of mine already," I continue, holding up the stick I used earlier.

"You make items stronger?" Miyo asks, tempted to walk closer.

"That's correct," I say to her with a smile.

"You make things unbreakable!" Neon cheers.

"No." I clear that misinterpretation immediately. "I add my stats to whatever weapon I'm holding."

"Like the stick," Rapi interjects, eyeing the walking stick I now have. "I suppose it's a good way to surprise enemies."

"Yeah, but you'll lose the element of surprise among a group of them," Anis points out, not bothering to turn around to make this observation.

"Ooh, what if it could be used for a gun?" Neon asks, her eyes sparkling in excitement. "Increase the firepower!"

"I don't know if it works that way," I admit. "It says for items I am holding, and neither of the examples were guns."

"So you aren't certain if the bullets will count since they leave your grasp once they're fired," Renamon muses, nodding once. "I can understand the concern."

Neon considers this for a moment, her face unusually serious. "So you're saying there's a chance…" Her face breaks out into a wide grin, and she throws a fist in the air. "Yea-!"

"Shush!" Renamon says, covering the white-haired girl's mouth. "You'll alert the Raptures!" I manage to hear a muffled apology before the disguised fox pulls her hand away. "Please continue, Commander."

"Right." I try to force Harem King out of my mind as I move to the one after that. "Apparently I can now give therapeutic hugs. That's about the gist of that one."

"Let me try," Renamon says, moving into my personal space and wrapping her arms around me. Flustered, I return the embrace, feeling her stiffen up momentarily before leaning into my chest, making an odd, cute little sound.

Trilling.

Is that a normal sound?

It represents when a fox is comfortable around a trusted human. Curiosity, relaxation, deep affection.

…are you reading that off something?

Nope!

That response was too fast to be natural. She stops responding, so I return my attention to my squad, practically jumping back when I realize Anis's face is mere inches from my own. "…may I help you?"

"Are you going to let go at any point," she says, her eyes narrowed and judgmental. Indeed, I see I am still hugging Renamon, so I quickly let go, getting a whine in response. Despite the cute pout on her face, I do not move to hug her again, so she reluctantly pulls away.

"What did you skip?"

I blink, turning back to the still-frowning blonde. "What are you talking about?" I try to offer her a small smile, but her eyes narrow further.

"You're doing that thing where you're hiding something again," Anis points out, a finger poking my chest. "Spill. We need to know everything so we can plan better."

"You're just nosy," my first familiar says, frowning at the woman beside her. "The Commander doesn't need to share anything. We're lucky he's sharing most of his rolls as it is!"

"That makes the rolls he hides even more suspicious!" The busty blonde frowns, crossing her arms. "He even mentioned that Golden Shot thing! So this must be much worse!"

"What is that?" Miyo asks, accidentally drawing the ire of the one who hates her.

"You can shut the hell up!" A finger jabs in the mass-produced Nikke's face. "You have no right to speak!"

"Hey." I grab Anis's hand and pull it away, frowning at her in disappointment. It must work, because she takes one look at me and immediately averts her gaze, chastised. "I don't care what you two think of each other, you keep it out of our operations. I will not have hot tempers putting your lives at risk."

"She started it!" Anis says, but I can tell even she finds the argument weak.

"How?" Miyo asks, cutting through her defenses with one word. "I don't remember doing anything to you. In fact, you were my idol." She pulls out her phone and starts playing the song that was her ringtone.

The blonde looks shaken, staring at the phone with a bewildered expression that says she would find it more believable if the phone started to dance. "I… but you…"

"Anis." She looks back at me, and I offer her a small smile. "We can discuss this later. Right now, I just want to be sure you're alright."

She blinks, furrowing her brow for a moment before sighing, pulling her arm free of my grip. "Whatever. I'm gonna ask you about those secret rolls later, though," she says, giving me a pointed look.

I just shrug in response. "You can try. I probably won't tell you though, as they're not really fit for discussing."

"What, you somehow gain a child?" She asks sarcastically.

"Of course not," I respond, bewildered by her guess. "Just because I have Golden Shot doesn't mean I can just randomly get a kid."

"Of course not," she responds with a small roll of the eyes. "It's not like you got other stuff that changes reality. Oh wait," she says, staring right at his walking stick, "you did."

"…I guess that's fair," I admit, embarrassed. "But no, I did not get a kid."

"Then I don't see what the issue is."

"Can we continue our mission?" Rapi interjects, her voice strained with annoyance.

"Of course. Sorry, Rapi." I nod to her and continue walking.

"Hey!" Anis whines, following after me. "I wasn't done guessing!"

"Sexy catgirl."

"No."

"Dragon mommy."

"Thank you for the compliment," Dragon responds from my Omni Phone.

"No problem," Anis beams, then goes right back to guessing. "Malevolent AI?"

"Listen, it's not an item or person, it's a trait, one that I am very uncomfortable talking about," I respond, stopping in front of a decently-sized building. "Can you please stop trying to guess?"

"No, but thank you for narrowing things down," she says, a cheeky grin on her face. "Mind controlling… eyes?"

"If I had those, I'd get you to stop asking about it," I deadpan, walking into the building, as that's where the map leads. There is a single room with no doors or windows, and the furniture is a mess from however long this place was deserted.

Shifty's voice comes through on the communication device. "We've arrived at the control room. Preparing to cut power." I hear her mechanical keyboard clicking once more. Does she realize that it is audible, or does she not know?

Rapi steps up beside me, holding out her hand with the palm up. "Commander, give me the CombiLink."

I blink blankly at her, not quite sure what she means. "What is that?"

Shifty pipes up, her voice unsure as though not certain why I do not know this. "Um… it's a device used to remotely control all sorts of machinery up on the surface." She pauses typing for a moment, and I can imagine her trying to figure out my lack of understanding. Eventually, she continues. "You see that little protrusion on your mobile? Pull that out. There will be a line attached to it."

I pull out my Omni Phone, turning it over in my hands as I try to find any part that protrudes. I eventually notice a little bump near the charging port and press on it, popping out a plug. I carefully pull on this part, and a line about one meter long appears. "Huh. Neat."

Our operator seems to sense when I found it, as she promptly continues, "Yes, that's it. Not plug it into the port of the machine you want to control."

I turn to the machine, eyeing the sleek surface for a moment. I reach out, my fingers trailing over the surface for any irregularities, and the tip of my pinky drops slightly into a divot. I pull it away and push the plug against it, watching as it sinks in and starts to sync with the machine.

Anis gives me that same squinting stare from before, and I feel mildly awkward. "Did you really graduate from the military academy?"

"I think I did?" I say with a small shrug.

"That port should've been seen immediately," she retorts.

"How?" I respond, pointing at the sleek surface of the controls. "It was practically invisible until I stumbled over it."

"The ports are always in the same spots," Rapi points out.

"Forgive me if this is the first machine I've had to interface with," I say, a little tired by this busy day.

The machine chimes, and I hear a beep from its hidden speakers. "The power has been shut off." Shifty informs us. "You can take the line straight into the city, now."

Rapi nods, turning to the door without any hesitation. "Let's go."

Neon, meanwhile, stands there looking around the control room. "Shouldn't we find a pair of rubber boots?"

Anis groans, putting a hand to her head. "Forget the stupid boots!"

I offer her a small smile, petting her head, but any words I would think of saying gets interrupted when Miyo calls into the building. "Raptures spotted!"

…shoot, I forgot to keep View Air up! "Counters Squad, get ready to fight!" I hurry out of the building to find a group of about fifteen husks. With a nod, I fling my hand out at the enemy. "Encounter!"

AN: Sorry this took a while, got caught on that first scene. Believe it or not, it was much harsher, originally.

Please let me know what you think, and I hope you all enjoy!
