... I'm not sure how, unless you count brainwashing.
With a new body, they'll be able to customize the gemma and such, or just leave it out entirely.

Or nanobots or spells or such to be able to mute her power's input.

They'd almost have to do something, it's not a good show when 90% of the time your contestant's in the medical bay from power-induced migraines. (actually just permanently getting rid of the migraines would probably be enough to get TT to sign on for a sexless run)

Of course this is Worm where freezing someone in time doesn't cause you to zip off the planet at infinity miles and hour.
...more like 0.83 million miles per hour, give or take a few dozen thousand. Still more than enough to be rather inconvenient.

You could probably technobabble it away by referring to local gravity wells or something, though. I doubt it's intended to be literally a time freeze instead of a close approximation of one, anyway.

Well, here's the first set of responses.

I wonder would being a psychic would make her connection to her power better? If Taylor is too connected to her swarm would people be able to use some sort of power against her through her swarm?

That's a good question. Somebody should look into that. (I haven't entirely decided how it'll work, but it would require experimentation.

I was half expecting to see Dabbler from Grrl Power.

Here she is in her element, so to speak.

While Dabbler would be fun, I'm fairly sure she'd scare Taylor away... or get swarmed by bees. She routinely gropes Maxima, after all.

Jonakhensu is there any particular reason no one pointed out that glaringly obvious synergy to her yet?

I'm not sure the synergy is glaringly obvious, considering there is not evidence to suggest the synergy exists at all. Additionally, the only person Taylor has really talked to about her contract so far is Cindy, who is not a scientist, a gamer, or anything else that would lead to her thinking things might possibly work that way.

I mostly expected Fall-from-Grace from Planescape Torment, but knowing her, her Brothel of Intellectual Lusts and the fact that she's practically chaste, something tells me that her clan doesn't involve itself with SL.

It would also help if I knew who she was. Though they could use their contestants as librarians or something if they wanted.

Daw, adorable succubus! Is she a Futa to! She needs a Hug and so does Taylor! By the end of this Taylor will have a Hug Pile!

No, she's not a futa. I actually have a picture I found that I'm basing her off of. The picture is SFW, the website is not.

You know, a thought occurs to me. A PERFECT person to be Taylor's first recruit on Earth Bet... Tattletale.

I already have Taylor's first recruit planned. It's not Tattletale.

... I'm not sure how, unless you count brainwashing.

I figure a combination of Cybernetic Brain and Mind Zero (one of the experimental drugs in the latest version) would work to solve her issue... at least somewhat.

It would also help if I knew who she was. Though they could use their contestants as librarians or something if they wanted.
As far as I remember, they're less about intellectual pursuits and knowledge, and more about soul-searching, knowing oneself and having enjoyable discussions. So I guess that they're actually a clan of succubi psychologists.

So... I've hit a minor plot point that I need some help with. The spoilers-free version is that I need a fictional space craft that would actually be comfortable to live in, does not need a large crew (or at least can be controlled mostly by AI), and is under 25km long.

This is for living in and traveling, pretty much as a pleasure yacht. It should not be a warship or anything else of that ilk. Realistically, it should be below a kilometer in length. The recipient is not a member of the military, and is not especially interested in military grade hardware, so weaponry is not a primary concern.

Please provide links to any ships submitted if possible, so I can get a decent idea what they look like and how they work.

One final note: No, Taylor will not be the recipient of this specific spaceship.

Just make it a 1km cube with inertial editing drive, structural integrity fields, shields, and free internal modification (including relocating the power generators and drive units)

It's pretty easy to be Sufficiently Generic that way. And lots of flexibility too.

(because sans size restrictions I totally would have proposed the Godsgrief from a certain Planetary Annihilation jumpchain SI. To quote him about it... "0.5 astronomical units of spaceship began to move")

I still think that the Wells Class from Star Trek would be a fine choice. I'm pretty sure that if you strip out all of the weapons/science tech and leave only the warp cores, one space and one time, then it'd pretty easy to convert it into running off of a single AI. And yes, it's under a kilometer.

I'm not sure if it works under the size limit, depends on what you consider its "size" but would a TARDIS work?

Speaking of older ships, Queen Emeraldas also works. It is in-universe ran by a single person and an AI that's essentially an imprint of said person, so it'd work. It also has, frankly, ridiculous shields that can hold off an entire fleet's barrage, so enough protection for a pleasure yacht going into the deeper parts of space where you have to worry about meteors and such.

A Firefly is my first thought, though spruced up a good bit over Mal's lovable, beat up clunker. Though maybe that's TOO small.

I wanted to say Culture Ship, but apparently, despite being controlled mostly by AI, they do still require a large crew.
(...I think? I'm not quite entirely up on the lore.)

Even if eligible, I can't propose a specific one anyway, only a generic one (given the size constraints, let's call it MSV Gravitas Free Zone).

You could also go for the Kuun-Lan from Homeworld Cataclysm. For one thing, it's an exploration vessel that doubles as a mining vessel, so it could also double as a self-sufficient living space for when you want to just get away from civilization for a while. It's also extremely customizeable, so you could just ditch all the mining-specific modules and build an entire bloody resort inside of it.

While talking about Homeworld, you could also take the Bananaship, aka Pride of Hiigara. It might be a bit overkill, but I'd take it simply for the assembly bay. The biggest 3D printer! The ultimate arts and crafts projects! All the possibilities!

You could also take the Hiigaran Battlecruiser. Really bloody pretty, has lots of space and only has... I think eight weapons to take down. I use it as my inter-galactic exploration vessel in Space Engine.

Stepping outside of Homeworld, there's the Archangel from Gundam SEED. It's more or less a Gundam Carrier, so you can just strip the weapons and convert the mobile suit hangars into shuttle bays for civilian use. Also pretty.

Heart of Gold? Simply for the hell of it.

The Orbiter from Warframe? It's a bit cramped when compared to all the others I proposed, but it has perfect stealth for when you just want to get away from civilization, to the point that you can literally hang in front of someone and noone will notice, it's pretty darn fast all things considered, and it did get a few luxury features in the recent updates. Such as a bloody fish tank.

...the Arc-Gurren from Gurren Lagann? Just for shits and giggles?

What's really needed is a Cabbit. Like from Tenchi Muyo.

Reasoning? It's not only a luxury ship, but a cute pet. Additionally with the shapeshifting displayed in the shows combined with their artificial nature it can also cover the sexbot and AI choices.

Real reason? Imagining Taylor's face upon being told that the cute fluffy thing she's holding is a spaceship.

"It's cute, but I though you were going to show me your ship?" Taylor commented holding the odd, long-eared, and fluffy cat-rabbit thing she had been her after they had arrived in the hanger.

"Your holding her." was the reply.

"...what."

You sir, deserve a like for that one.

Lets see...

-The ship from Lost In Space. http://lostinspace.wikia.com/wiki/Jupiter_2_(TV_series)
-Pretty much anything from The Jetsons. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Jetsons
-Whatever class of ship The Millennium Falcon is... If you need a link for this one we may have problems, lol.

I actually remember SB doing a contest to design such a craft, in fact they were specifically meant to be homes (I doubt all the entries took propulsion into account, but most would have because it was mentioned in the contest rules/description), just a few months ago. I remember reading the rules and easily coming up with a plan in my head, but unfortunately I lacked the artistic skills to actually draw or model the thing out, so couldn't enter... Forgot all about it until I read your post. I'll see if I can find a link.

https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/official-spacebattles-space-house-contest.614975/
Conest is still ongoing, and it looks like there are no entries submitted yet, but the conversations, and even the contest post itself, cover quite a few things that would need to be kept in mind for a ship like that.

Here's one that showed up in Discord. I wouldn't want it to be left out of the discussion.

Star Wars' Jade Shadow.

So far, I think my favorites for ones that would fit the criteria of actually be reasonably comfortable, ability to be piloted with a tiny crew, and aesthetics (which are important in this case) are the cabbit, the BeBop, and the Jade Shadow. The Firefly could work, provided it had a lot of interior work done to it... and it had a lot better upkeep than Serenity had.

Considering the cabbit and the Firefly were the only ones I may have considered on my own, this is already proving to be a productive discussion. The other ships may be useful for other purposes as well, and it's always fun to remember things that have sunk below conscious recollection.

I'd go with a Firefly-class as well. It's a good solid workhorse of a ship.

Just never say "I am a leaf on the wind" while you're in the pilot's seat. Bad things happen :p

Personally, I prefer the Normandy SR-2. I still haven't fully played through ME3, so I have a bit of a harder time imagining the updated layout she had in that game, but still. Maybe not the powerhouse that some other ships are, or as homey as a Firefly, but for sleek, speedy style that's where I'd put my money.

I've only read one Shlock Mercenary story, but the big warship explicitly had an AI that could run the entire ship. So I'm certain that setting must have something that meets the criteria. I just don't know of any particular examples to suggest.

Okay. I'll admit it. When I first saw SFW alongside Slut Life I was like "Fucking really!?!" and ignored it for the most part.

Then I read Ack's Worm/Slut LIfe and saw this suggested and decided why not? It's a lot better then I expected! I can't wait to read more!

Just wanted to do a bit of self advertising. I've been reading both this and Ack's version, and since I've been sitting on some thoughts as far as the Slut Life CYOA goes, I decided to clean up my notes and make a fic. It's in the NSFW section. https://forum.questionablequesting....choose-the-slut-life…-slut-life-cyoa-si.7676/

However, this fic isn't about being on Slut Life, it's really more of a meta thing looking at the contract and trying to come up with plausible reasons for what seem to me to be glaring lacks and weird choices.

Maybe I can inspire something.

It's the first Arc dammit

I'm pretty sure Nugar is talking about his own fic, that he linked to. It's pretty amusing so far, and has yet another interpretation of the Slut Life corporation.

I would recommend the fic for anyone who wants to see a somewhat... sillier... entrance into Slut Life. Or at least a more consensual one than I've seen so far. The RWBY one might have been, and Eternal Threnody probably was, but most of the others I've seen have been less than volunteering.

I've been working on filling in some of the major holes I've seen, though I'm sure I'm going to miss some of them, so it's always good to see what other people notice.

Seconding that one, complete with the lack of specific examples. Also seconding the cabbit.

Jade Shadow sounds nice as well (if perhaps a bit on the obscure side... OK, I mean that I haven't heard of it).

Yes, I want to be clear, I'm not doing this to be critical, I'm doing it as a way of joining the conversation and offering up my own ideas.

A big one I haven't gotten to in my fic yet is, why Slut Life at all? How the hell could a porn show, even a fairly popular porn show, stay popular year after year? Given this is 32x7 filming and a lot of the stuff boils down to just continuous fucking, why do they keep bringing in fresh people? And from other universes?

My theory is that the 'ruling council' is actually made up mostly of godlike beings not unlike the Futurama Beast with a Billion Backs. Why the lack of, for lack of a better term, human interaction? Because ancient, godlike beings don't give a shit and don't notice such things. Why the focus on marathon fuck sessions? Because it takes really long, really intense stimulation to be of interest to the primary audience. Why don't they just replay old Slut Life recordings, and instead insist on live content? Bringing in someone from a new universe, with a new 'soul framework', is how the existing multiversal beings rape/taste/explore the feeling of the new place. Video can be recorded, even senses can be recorded, but soul interactions can't. Things that enhance that get rewarded. Lots of partners, intense sessions, even getting directly molested by the eldritch pervert beings, all rewarded. Also, 'consuming' essence from the known universe, and creating babies, hybrid creatures to study/feel/integrate are all valuable. On the other hand, getting an android body? Expensive as fuck, because it's like stretching a condom over your soul. The mechanics are still there, but some of the sensation is lost.

Ultimately, I think when you throw out the idea that human ratings are what drive the show, at lot of it starts to line up in more plausible ways.

Why does a computer cost a fifth as many credits as a fucking planet? Beause the gods don't care about your shitposts.

I'm of the opinion that, when you stretch a show like this over several universes worth of people bringing new people in becomes a moot point. It doesn't matter if it's wildly successful or not, you'll get your money anyways because across an entire multiverse, there will inevitably be enough people who watch your show for some reason to break point.

Perhaps Slut Life isn't even all that popular compared to other shows on multiversal television, this is just their standard of a "somewhat unpopular but still going show" out there in the multiverse.

So I think that you don't need inhuman gods at the helm for such a show to exist, you just need a wide enough population that it simply doesn't matter anymore. You do you with your interpretation though.

And besides, not all universes are filled with humans. I think that it isn't all that weird that there'd be cultures that find the smaller intricacies of sex much more fascinating than we do without necessarily being godlike.

After reading this I think you will find the "First Night" interlude interesting in my Slut Life story.
