Governor's Gambit - Star Wars SI into Imperial Governor

Another thing I'm seeing people forget in excitement for Vader is the fact that he's just nicked a third of the sector fleet during all these crises/crisises?
Oh I haven't forgotten, as I said Vader Yoinking ships is peak, the next few chapters are going to be interesting.

Its also the fact he didn't kill a swath of Imperial personnel and if nothing else, its advertising for Myto Sector Products. The more competent Admirals will see the Arbiters and Dreadnought-IIs operating in Deaths Head Squadron with flawless precision, they will begin to formulate plans for formations of what they would do with Arbiters in their own fleets. While glass cannons, the Arbiter would be the ultimate escort for Allegiance or Tector Class Star Destroyers or even supplement the Ton Falk Carriers.

Vader may have weakened the Sector for a period of time but on the upside, Deaths Head Squadron is in the area and Las would be foolish not to offer up the Sector for shore leave while Mytoan recruits are integrated. Vader would be able to witness live demonstrations by Mytoan Elite forces on their domestic products, from the venerable LECA to the brand new Stormwalker. Meanwhile if the Squadron is on station long enough, Ife might be able to invite her father to have dinner face-to-face for the first time in years and actually have a family discussion with good food.

I didn't get the impression that Vader was staying for any notable ammount of time.
He'll oversee the transfer of whatever he requisitions, then go right back to hunting the rebels.

"This ship. I have never seen its like. I would have its type added to Death Squadron."
So Death Squadron is getting an Arbiter, that's going to shake up Endor. Probably going to increase the fighter deaths at the minimum, which is going to increase the capital ship deaths as their fighter squadrons die off.
"No. I will take your most experienced ships immediately."

Fuck. "Understood, Lord Vader. I'll have the Sector Admiral pick the ships with the most experienced crews for you." Goddamnit.
Oh Mytoans are going to be in Death Squadron. That's going to be one heck of a culture shock. A bunch of Mindan Imperialism "heretics" interacting with New Order fanatics seems like it is going to go over swimmingly. At least they'll treat whatever Clones Anakin has left with respect.

Also several capital ships believing in Mindan Imperialism are going to be at Endor when the rough and coarse sand hits the fan and gets everywhere. If the Emperor and Vader die like in canon, they are going to be a wild card that none of the other players in the Endor fleet have in their pockets. That might lead to some political and military butterflies.
Sure, there was some complications. Vader wanted to take one of the Whirlwinds in the hangar for a spin, and beat everyone's records.

Specifically, he flew at 191 of the maximum maneuver rating. Meaning Seventh Brother was no longer the reigning champ, and Vader now had the power to drift a starfighter in space.
And the amount of Rebel Starfighter deaths just increased dramatically.

Their are probably Clones on those Arbiters also. So them interacting with Vader's clones would be interesting to see. The Myto fleet will have an easier time with Vader's 501st and also more likely to be stationed in safer areas. Since Vader has a soft spot for clones and will be surprised to see them. They will probably be able to grab a bunch of the 501st after Endor.

Honestly, I feel that Imperial Admirals will have sadistic "game" involving Arbiters:

After localizing Rebel fleet, Imperial Fleet positions Arbiters on "other ends" of Hyperspace routes originating from/to "Rebel sector".

After all Arbiters (plus their Escorts) are "on position", each deploys single TIE Ranger, which then Hyperspace-jumps to "Rebel sectors".

Thanks to TIE Rangers, Imperial Fleet "knows" where Rebel fleet goes next, and readies an ambush there.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

Anyways, fuck

Not only has Vader come to oversee the investigation, and so swiftly ended it with decapitation of the admiral. He's taking Myto's products and adding them to his retinue.

Which means he's gonna come back, a lot, especially whenever he's got the time to check out any new products. Myto just became one of his fleet's primary suppliers of vessels and personnel.

Now he's gonna be scarier cause Myto's "Standard Kit" is superior to normal Imperial equipment. Troopers are better armed and armored, are fielded with a wider and more versatile variety of vehicles and mechs, their standard and elite TIEs are shielded and improved upon and the ships are adapted to counter the Rebel's 'Strike and Fade' tactics they favor so much

Overall a terrifying first meeting and Vader going 'YOINK' on Las' shit
And for our beloved Moff, this means he now unofficially gained the backing of Vader. With the guy first in line for the throne once Palpy plops it becoming his most enthusiastic customer, he suddenly gained a fuckload of soft political power. Once word of this spreads (and it will, the ISB gossip like haridens), whenever someone thinks of fucking with the Myto sector sland its Moff, they'll have to contend with the fact that if they cause any problems that seriously interrupt their production of tech, Lord Fucking Vader will be very cross with them. Nobody in their right mind wants Vader angry with them, and shitting around on his new favorite toy maker is an easy way to piss him off (or, at least, could easily be spun that way).

A part of me feared for the future of the rebellion, for I was relying on their victory at Endor to escape.

A part of me just though the idea of Darth Vader drifting a TIE fighter in space to be really fucking cool.
The duality of men. The annoying part Vader has all the power to take all the best toys for his personal fleet, both political and, well, what are you gonna do, tell him no?

Ah well...
If the chicken nugget of an asthmatic wants those ships and crew then he's gonna get it.
Gotta crank up the production and the training for the rest of the system to compensate, maybe.
But since Las isn't blubbering and shitting durasteel bricks...
That's gonna add to his legend of being able to stand while Vader does Vader things.

"This ship. I have never seen its like. I would have its type added to Death Squadron.
Welp the Rebellion isn't making it off of Hoth that's for sure

Well except the Millennium Falcon and Luke's X-Wing but they have Force mandated plot armour

Either way Las' plan to escape has just been airlocked out the ship

Hmmm yes depending on how Moff Mola spins this he might be able to boost the numbers of recruits to his academies now, Death Head Squadron(DHS for short) is the most elite and prestigious posting within the average Imperial Loyalists mind and Moff Mola can now say that his academies produces DHS quality Officers, Pilots and Troops, this is something he can use to get recruits from out of the sector and if he's lucky alongside those recruits are their families and friends coming to immigrate to his Sector.

Now another thing that might happen post Endor is that DHS could possibly thanks to now having Myto Sector Officers, Pilots and Troopers, it might just end up going to the sector and most likely Minda the unofficial capital of the sector itself and thus DHS ends up being subordinate to Moff Mola in the Imperial Warlord era... which quite frankly is going to be quite the boost to the Pentastar Allignment to the point that it might just end up being bigger than it was in the EU.

I could also see Vader being impressed by the quality of the Myto Sector personnel so he starts diverting general Imperial personnel to Myto with the expectation of them being made into the same types of Elites that he just gained. This is also something that might end up increasing the immigration to Myto as the families of those officers can end up tagging along after they hear about the cheap prices on land in the Myto Sector thanks to it's active and quite frankly lucrative immigration policies, not too mention the extremely well planned and booming economy of the Sector which is starting to rival some Mid Rim systems and Core worlds.

"How many other 'local variants' have you produced?"
YOU HAVE 1 NEW MESSAGE

You have been friended by Darth Vader on Facelessbook.

Get some cardio old man.
Vader: I like your sass

Sloth: 3/5 (internally) Sass the evil empath 👍

Plan B: Emperor Las and his bff Vadiekin

One thing can be certain: Admiral Ackbar and/or Princess Leia will have much more "sleepless nights" that they had beforehand
Well from the Rebellions side there is also a positive side now seeing as the DHS is going to have Myto Sector made ships, other Imperials are most likely going to start procuring them as well and among those there will be incompetents that might just let the Rebellion steal a couple of Arbiters and perhaps even some Dreadnaught II's, but yeah until that happens they are going to be in for a hard time for the foreseeable future.

While I'm one of the people that look at the Empire as a whole and will say that a lot of their Officers and Officials are in fact competent at their jobs, I also acknowledge that the majority are for the most part just adequate at it with there being a minority of vastly incompetents that only have their postings because of nepotism and backroom politics/bribes. These Officers and Officials are now going to end up procuring Arbiter II's and Dreadnaught II's and it just so happens that whenever the Rebellion has been able to steal Imperial ships it has been from those types of Imperial Officers and Officials.

Heck didn't Ackbar himself entertain the idea of trying to steal a couple of Arbiters when he first heard of them only to dismiss the idea of the fear of him actually succeeding and thus potentially opening the flood gates of the rest of the Empire adopting the Arbiters thus making the fight agaisnt the Empire even harder? Well now the rest of the Empire are going to end up slowly but surely start to include Arbiters within their own attack and patrol fleets so he is going to get his opportunities to S.T.E.A.L some for the Rebellion since as i said some of them are going to end up in the hands of the incompetents of the Imperials that always fucks up and the only reason as for why they haven't been dismissed from their positions is because they are very good at bribing and shifting the blame whenever they fuck up Imperials.
