Because the Bellator is a star dreadnought. Not as big as an Executor, let alone an Eclipse, but still a 7.2 km monster of a ship.

Honestly that's probably still too few Raiders for that amount of durasteel and manhours.

If things are this bad in Myto, imagine how bad things are in other sectors with less independent ship production. Patrol fleets are probably being stripped or downsized across the Outer Rim.

The navy officer. Also, literally the only one to give a shit if he got killed by Jir but she and Las were never close due to the age difference, so she's kinda in a rut about how little Las cares about his sisters and trying to drag him into family activities that Las refuses to engage in.

The story is incredible. I love management stories, and the MC being grounded in reality.
Beautiful and masterful work.

But.

Is he planning for the Emperor's death, or is he just going with the flow and turning a blind eye to what could happen?


Minda prospering and becoming strategic is both good and great.

But it simply means that Warlords will Kill, Exterminate, and Genocide to take it from the MC's cold, dead hands. Or just to deny it to their opponents.

When Warlords with big ass fleets come knocking, he will have two choices: submit or disappear. Submitting to one will also mean being executed by another for treason.

If he submits, all his work will be burned to the ground, and many alien species will be turned into fertilizer. So, not good.

Disappearing will let the Warlords have free reign and turn the Sector into an open Free for All Warzone of pillage, rape, and slavery. So, not good either.

And if he goes Rebel, the Warlords will just see Minda as a threat and nuke it ASAP.

So, what's the big plan? Because the more I love seeing his sector grow and prosper, the more I remember what a big pile of wood, even if magnificently sculpted, looks like aflame.

Decentralization of the Sector Government is good, especially at this time early into the colonization phase of expansion. If done late it would have too much invested into static locations that a lot of stuff will be lost or slipped through.

It also helps with his stated purpose of preventing the governors from accumulating political power, with the goods and services that are his to claim to leverage influence over each other.

The important part of it is the ease of elimination, by way of capping their personal defensive power to only fend against fighters to frigates, any attempt at rebellion leaves them stranded in a ship crewed by hostile forces and even of they managed to subvert the crew, the ship can be hunted down.


Poor Las, he thought Ife was gonna confess to him only to be asked permission to date his sister. Maybe some day he'll find someone...

That's the DS2 being fast tracked into completion, and it's openly sucking up the supply chain while the demand for ISDs are rising. A fortunate blessing that the overall command rejects Myto ships, as the demand for the current supply is being fed by the local factories and mines.

I hope for a short on how Vader is fairing with his new additions, perhaps Hoth goes differently

At this point you've got I little under a year before the Emperor's death, curious what the plan is for the fallout with that?

Like, is MC planning to abandon Minda? Cause he seems like too good of a person to do that, abandoning billions of souls to the horrors of the warlords that followed the Empire's collapse.

Personally, I think the MC should start setting up the infrastructure to fortify and defend his system and fleets, with part of the focus being development of livable areas, maybe contracting the work for construction to companies?

Working to avoid potential monopolies of course, don't want a relapse of the Techno Union and Trade Federation after all.

I'm curious what your plan is for the aftermath of Luke and the Rebels winning, will you go with the Legends or Disney continuity? Cause if so, you'll need to prep for what comes after.

After the Emperor Las Mola rose to power, the empire had a few problems. Their new emperor loved running the country. The one major problem that the Empire did have though, was succession. Despite Emperor Mola's large number of reforms and successful economic policies, there was no clear heir to the throne. Or any heir. To that end, beautiful women, men, aliens, and things in-between had all been sent (covertly and overtly) in attempt to seduce the new emperor Las Mola. Despite their (and their backers efforts), it seemed to have little effect. Mas was not distracted by a sports team, a favorite food, nor was it his pet space cat. He truly, truly, only had time for one, and one thing only in his life.

"Your imperial majesty, your subjects are worried about the line of succession,"a diplomat opened, trying to drag Las away from the one constant in his life.

"I have an armies of droids, accountants, bureaucrats, and probably over a million plus staff. Despite all of this somehow all of this personally needs to be reviewed by me. The succession can wait once the paperwork is measured in something other than cubic light-years. Now either help me review this or get out of my office" Las sourly commented, before returning to the never-ending stack. While the new emperor was much more relaxed than the old Emperor (may he reign in peace), his lack of attention to anything that was not a report of some kind was alarming.

The diplomat had been working on a Corsucant for a while, so he was not used to dealing with non-corrupt politicians. Still, he called up a tailor and a high class madam. He had no idea how or if this was possible, but he was fairly certain that this plan would get him to at least look at a woman who was not a subordinate.

Though some things change, the madam and tailor had a single raised eyebrow that spoke volumes. "Are we sure his majesty does not prefer gentlemen? That would actually be easier to accommodate than...this," the tailor commented, wondering why the emperor preferred this style. He also prayed that it would quickly become unpopular, but if the Emperor personally favored it,

"We've tried everything. Men, women, aliens, things inbetween, asexual species, and probably a few things I have forgotten. This is literally the only thing he pays attention to," the diplomat commented.

The madam closed her eyes and breathed out heavily. "I can believe it. None of my courtesans have gotten anywhere close to the Emperor, with or without clothes. Still, if you are confident this will work?" the madam asked clearly having skepticism as well.

"Not really. But I think it will at least grab his attention. Ordinarily I would be using a marriage to strengthen a political alliance, but honestly I am not even sure if he has a sex drive. If any of your girls get knocked up, I'll pay you double. At this point, the Empire would be happy with a bastard," the diplomat crudely commented.

The next Saturday, the diplomat bribed Mugwuffin with barbecue to trick the emperor into showing up into a party. The diplomat did not know why or how the cat managed to do this, but figured it was probably above his (extremely high) pay-grade. When Las showed up, he could not help but look at the girls dress. Not because of who was wearing it, not because it looked good, but because a large number of them displayed with "Reports on Imperial....". Las could not help but stare at woman all night. There were reports on production data, mining data, meta-data, taxation data and a number of other things beside. Though he did lose interest once he realized they were not actual reports.

Honestly, i wonder if there are any running bets if Las has even a lover or some shit, bro don't have social contact with a lot of people and the ones that he have is because he is their Boss, like his pet/friend at this point are doing so much of a heavy lifting on making him not a social husk that its not even funny, like imagine a Las without him.
 
I....find it...delightful when a trusted subordinate asks permission for a personal life matter...Considering Imperial politics our boy Las just welcomed a lass into the family Sector-wise while the more political animals of his family (Mother and Father) are going to appear out of the shadows to evaluate this poor ADRIMAL......I mean our MC is politically considered the Patriarch of the family in the Imperial Court..... right?

Our boi Moff Las is considered a Neet or a Xenophile.....If anyone approaches him publicly or via privately via (One night stands or Holonet Dms/Political parties with Escorcts provided at the door. Low-key if he shows up outside of his Fortress/Palace, then the tabliods of the sector will go nuts...My boi Las has a hidden group of wing-homies destroying ANY hint of him have a love life while thinking he's getting it on like a French Nobleman..... but no...He has three main females in his life......A Pet....a Bodyguard and a fucking secretary .... I definitely know why HR exists...and it's because Males will literally fall for the closest female...(I as a34 yr remember how I acted during my 20s... the cringe.

Nah, before Las ever has to use the Vader card, they're gonna have to talk to Ardus Kaine first.

Cause he's a "supporter" for Hiral, who is subordinate to Grand Moff Kaine. Unless they're on Vader's level of authority, no one can muscle in to command Las. As that is overstepping to command Kaine's people and not dealing in the proper channel of political favors to even negotiate, before even asking what they need from Myto.
 
Considering the sheer amount of people coming and construction going on, I can see Laz setting up a lot more local manufacturing. spread out across most of the sector, Myto is going to be very well developed and very soon. Plus, it being the Outer Rim, there will be a lot of natural resources and raw materials being shipped around so mining will be less of a priority, and they can focus on building up lasting industry and save mining for if they get cut off
