Yes. Due to SB's troll brigade, the IRC channel requires registration. Being registered allows me to set your nickname to be autovoiced, instead of an OP needing to voice you everytime you connect and identify.

And playful dice. Honestly, the fireball blows up by my feet and I was unhurt and my friend lost half his hitpoints. Not to mention the water-elemental, it was just summoned to help deal with the bandits. Poof! The elemental is now steam.

Did you use the link in the email you received to activate the account? Because if not, the registration will be cancelled after a certain amount of time.
 
I went and added you back to autovoice, since it apparently cleared when the registration did.
 
I can't log in for some strange reason.

And I did the whole annoying registration thing again.

It's a net split... so server issues. Chat room is still there.
 
Apparently server issues are up to and including ddos attacks bringing the whole thing down, so.

Freenode itself seems to be dead. Any chance we could register a #questionablequesting on rizon or somewhere?
 
The IRC servers are still up. The actual Freenode web client is the one that's down.

If you don't intend to get a dedicated standalone IRC client, you can use KiwiIRC.

Use the settings shown below (or just click on "Freenode" in the list of servers), and you should be all set.
