At least we can say that Incubus' plan has been a full success. I have no doubt that this qualifies as "sowing chaos among the other demiurges" With all that gold up for grabs there will probably be a feeding/looting frenzy that's not going to be pretty.

Meanwhile I'm just really curious who got Zaid. I kinda have the feeling it was Solomon David, but it might as well have been somebody entirely different.

 

For the ones outside the city and/or on the other side of the breach maybe. That much metal dropped on your head is not healty (or so I'm told).

I do have to reconsider the probability of Oscar surviving though; having the whole fortress plus contents falling on your head would probably count as a double tap.

And yeah, that Cio. The short hair are interesting, and I didn't think I'd say this but I kinda dig the fact that she's back to wearing clothes again.

What? Bitch wants to catch her breath, not have Cio go all "jealous girlfriend" the moment she wakes up. Cio, give a bitch some motherfucking space!

 

Also, isn't the entire existence of a devil to use people? So what makes it so difficult when someone else does it?

 

She escaped a demiurge by sheer dumb luck, then she made a deal with a devil so she could jump straight into the lair of another demiurge; and by hiring a bunch of untrustworthy, evil bastards to boot (didn't Cio tell her that this was a really bad idea?). Cio has her faults (like taking what someone does or say while under severe blood loss and general trauma too seriously) and approched the subject too strongly, but being angry because the half-cocked (at best) "rescue" mission caused, is causing and will cause a huge amount of death and suffering is not exactly wrong either.

Also did Allison ever thought what would happen after she recovered her boyfriend? A long term way to escape the notice of all the Big Bads? Or did she plan to just dump the whole mess (key included) on her boyfriend and then let him figure out all those "details"? Not to mention that is certainly not the way to treat someone who literally dragged her ass to safety through a warzone AND (however briefly) suffered what amounted to her worst nightmare (becoming Yaba again) for her.
