Rumor: Dead Space revival in development at Motive

Though other sources say it is going to be a reimagining rather then a sequel.

 

It was better they left it as dead. They'll fuck it up in the name of short term profit, I tell you.

 

Well, shit. My Xbox One won't turn on. Well, it turns on, but my TV receives no signal and the console turns off after about 20 to 30 seconds.

I already tried disconnecting power for several minutes, but that doesn't seem to work.

Anyone got advice?

 

Whatever happened with that Yandere Sim clone? Did it ever get released? I thought I heard that Yandere dev doxxed them and forced them not release it.

The deep dive into Kazuya in Smash just wrapped:



Here are some of the basics:

• Kazuya normal moves are his Tekken staples, though mapped to the A button and directional stick. While easy to pick up, some of his more advanced moves like the Perfect Electric Wind God Fist will take some practice, particularly in setting up combos and juggles
• Along with his moves, Kazuya will have four throws (with one on one fights getting the Tekken camera treatment) and one of his combos is tied to the taunt button
• Devil Kazuya comes out for his smash attacks and specials, with his down special having an additional version during Kazuya's Rage Drive (once per stock damage boost at 100% or 25% stamina) Likewise, his infamous Devil Blast Rage Art from Tekken 7's story mode is his final smash.
• Kirby will also get Kazuya's devil mode and blast on a successful inhale.
• For music, we are getting 39 tracks from across the Tekken franchise, including the original and remixes of Emotionless Passion (Kazuya's theme from Tekken 2) and fan favorite Heat Haze Shadow from 7. Also instead of a victory theme, Kazuya will have the Tekken announcer.
• A minor touch, but those who own the Heihachi Mii costume will see your opponent wear it for the Heihachi spirit board fight.
• And on the subject of Mii Fighters, here are the next 4: Shantee (with a music track from Half Genie Hero), Loyd from Tales of Symphonia, Dante from Devil May Cry and Skyrim's Dragonborn.

All this will be available tomorrow! And before anyone asks, no clue yet about the last fighter for the game, only confirmation that then next fighter will be last DLC for Ultimate and it will be out latter this year.

 

Oof! Dante, Lloyd, and Shantae all deconfirmed in the space of two minutes, Twitter is not going to like that. I'm not super-salty about it personally, I got my two biggest wishes with Banjo and Pyra/Mythra, but Shantae was the last character I was hoping might make it in. Now I have zero hype for the last fighter reveal.

 

I'm still hoping for a Fate character. Preferably Hakuno, with Nero and Nameless and Tamamo (like Pokémon Trainer), but Artoria by herself is more likely.

 

Oh geez, imagine the pure distilled salt of the anime swordfighter haters if Saber was the last character.

 

Me I'm hoping that it is the DOOM Slayer for the final DLC. I mean we already have 2 Microsoft IPs as fighters, (Banjo/Kazooie and Minecraft's Steve) and 2 Bethesda IPs as Mii costumes (Vaultboy and the Dragonborn). May as well go for a full house with DOOMGuy.

 

Hah! Sakurai sure is merciless. I'd say this might have been as best as Shantae was going to get if other Indies like Sans or Shovel Knight couldn't make it in as a proper fighter, at least her Mii looks decent. But man, people are gonna be pissed about Dante.

I'm personally hoping for Amaterasu, but really I couldn't guess who would make it in for the last fighter pass, other than they must be pretty big if they don't want another controversy. We've got Sonic, Ryu, Pacman... are there any other video game icons left at this point?

Alas, no Shantae for realz. No idea who they'd chuck out next. Phoenix Wright? *shrugs*

 

The saltiest Fate character that I can think of is actually Charlemagne:

• Anime swordfighter haters
• Fire Emblem fans: "For the last time, he's not one of ours!"
• Regular Fate fans: "Why him and not Artoria or EMIYA?"
• Extella Link fans: "Why couldn't our boy make it into FGO first?"

It would be glorious.

 

The amount of salt would be glorious. Fate fans could already not agree. So the sheer outrage from this is going to be legendary.

 

They aren't doing Fate. Just... No. Not happening.

 

I mean I don't see it happening either, for the same reason I don't see a Touhou character making it in, but Fate started out as visual novels so that checks off the "Primarily video game origin" requirement. Technically they have about as much of a chance as Phoenix Wright.

Though I guess less of one since I don't think FSN has the same "video gamey" interaction as Ace Attorney. And it wasn't first released on a video game console like Ace Attorney either.

For bonus salt, Charlemagne's actual design is so Generic Fantasy LN Protagonist it hurts.

Charlemagne debuted in Extella Link, which was never anything other than a musou.

 

And that really doesn't matter. The property is tainted down to it's core and it's most popular VN has multiple rape scenes; which are purposefully sexual.

It isn't happening and you're absolutely deluded if you think otherwise.

 

Bayonetta though, and the fandom decided that Pyra's and Mythra's tights - the ones added for Smash - only made them hotter. (aside from XC2's character design being extremely fanservicey compared to XC1 and XCX anyway)

 

Neither Bayonetta nor XC2 are literal pornography.

 

Alright that's enough of that, just disagree and let it rest like adults. I don't think Fate is getting in any more than Goku is but there's no reason to get heated about it.

 

They literally compared Fate with Bayonetta in terms of sexual content.

 

So what if they did? People are allowed to have silly wishes that probably won't happen.

 

Just finished It Takes Two with a female friend of mine - rarely have I ever got my money's worth out of a game so quickly. I paid $40 for it - I would have easily paid twice as much. 14 hour single playthrough and we're already scheduling our next game.

If you have a SO or a close friend, this game is fantastic - well worth the price of admission, especially given the addition of the Friend's Pass.

Genuinely cannot believe EA published a game that hit me in the feels.

 

Dude fate hasn't been an eroge for over sixteen bloody years, it was only included in the original release to push unites, but then it proved popular and they removed it in the re-release a year later.

 

Stellaris is just as much liquid crack as I remember, there's a reason I put that game down last time.

 

Looks slightly better than, like, your average annniemay metroidvania in the vein of Lost Ruins.

The dev turned out to be a scumbag who used the yandere-sim thing to prop up himself.
