With This Ring (Young Justice SI) (Thread Fourteen)

So what actially happened in this arc? Cause it was like 40 chapters and I cant really remember what it all was.

 

Paul went to the place where the Controllers stored their Sun Eaters because it was taken over by Titans who wish to make proper contact with the Controllers. Unfortunately, while Paul was there, they were attacked by a space fleet that was given advanced tech by an Apokoliptian who wanted the Sun Eaters. The deal was the leader of the fleet would rule the people and/or get a new place to live while Doctor Impossible would get the Sun Eaters. Due to how it has been sealed, Doctor Impossible needed all of the Titan Seeds, the seeming source of the Titans' powers, to access the Sun Eaters. Thanks to Paul, this failed and Sparta, leader of the fleet, as been apprehended and revealed to be a pawn in front of her followers, so now the two forces will need to reach an accord on how to move forward.

I think I hit all the important notes.

Wasn't expecting Dana to show up again. Guess Paul's going to team up with the Legion of Super-Heroes. Hopefully they (meaning Brainiac 5) will be more polite this time.

 

Anybody know the link to that chapter? I completely forgotten about them showing up.

 

They showed up in Episode 68: Pursuant and Episode 69: Mandated when they kidnapped Paul and Truggs, thinking that they might be why their timeline disappeared.

This makes me wonder whether he's met a this-time-period version of Dana.


Also now that we're doing a time travel plot again I have to wonder how traveling from one of the sections of time where there's only one timeline and it can be altered works when you're travelling to a section of time where hypertime exists, or vice versa.

 

After he met his self who became Time Trapper, he got his memories of meeting the LSH and Dana back. As such, he should at least remember that she's a member of the LSH.

Welp, this is either connected to his whole Time Trapper adventure or something else.

Now I wonder if Zoat wrote this because Young Justice has the Legion in it now or if this was planned before season 4 came about, or if he was planning to write this episode but chose to release it sooner due to season 4.

And to be fair the two of them may have been responsible.

When he left she was still being held by the Legion so he may not know that she joined them.

However he may be able to deduce that she joined them if he remembers that she and him encountered the Legion and if she's calling herself Supergirl then she's most likely involved in heroics.

If I remember correctly, their conversation at Vanishing Point included her telling Paul that she became a superhero in the future.

 

I mean, I hope she doesn't hold a grudge for Paul basically forgetting about her and leaving her with Legion.

 

If she's got those coins and they give her super powers. Shouldn't she be a marvel instead?

Hey, Grundy is technically magic. That there's a pretty big counter to Kryptonians. He's also laced with plant matter, which counters Alan Scott hard, and he's the Society's biggest hitter, even in the modern day. And if' he's on a smart respawn (Because he changes personality every time he's properly killed and reborn,) that's even worse.

No doubt triggering a 'yellow alert' for all Justice League Members. Because OL is nearly always followed by trouble.

So either OL's going to be taking a trip to their future (hopefully restored after the whole Time Trapper thing) or some of them are here for some reason. Why do I get the feeling., whatever happens, Hinon's going to have another headache?

Because in the era of Legion of Superheroes, the Marvel family is nearly unknown, whereas Superman is a near-divine figure of inspiration and hope. So someone calling themselves part of the Super-family sends a message.

It's weird given that Paul constantly talks about being enlightened but I kinda think he's in the wrong relationship for him. He needs some sort of grounding to keep him from moving into full inadvertent super villainy and yeah, as much as he Wants Jade? She's not what he needs.

Dana Dearden being back is awesome because she was one of the dark horses for the Paul bowl back when this fic was in SB and it had only a little more than a million words.

Dana is more age appropriate than most and her little deranged yandere girlfriend stick make her awesome as a plot facilitator.

Anyways, I am happy with this development and want to see where this is going, certainly I hope she is here to stay.

 

I didn't actually know that he worked for the Rot in the n52, just thought that was one of his stories of how he became a zombie, or a story where he was empowered by it due to being an undead creature, which makes sense, but not the exact year where it happened.

Though one origin story apparently had him being a failed plant elemental or something like that.

 

Probabably not, but considering Batman has some strong opinions about punk.....
