Pretty much, what you're looking at is scale... you're a spaceship. A pet Mecha or Fighter is reasonable... be it run by a Virtual Intelligence or a living creature.

Huh. So ship girls are essentially made using the pinnacle of necron tech and the ship irks have only been improving on it.

After all, the twins had shared the cost of one of autonomous pets between themselves. To make it cheaper... also likely because they intended to share said pet.

With that you and your sisters depart the shop and its hyoo-mahn merchant.

Wandering about the concourse, you soon discovered to your sorrow that there were no cheap but good weapons that you could buy to mount on your ship body. Certainly, there were cheap weaponry, but they were also weak and well... useless compared to what you had. Or you could pay a lot of credits for weapons that you could mount and which where comparable to what you had.... but you would need several times what you had to effectively increase your firepower instead of getting an extra spare cannon or missile launcher.

It was... disappointing. Even if you did find more snacks and delicious food to eat, and delightful drinks to drink. Some of which even boosted your energy levels temporarily.

Still, you found something interesting.

There was apparently some kind of... fight going on? A tournament where the smaller bodies of your sisters could enter fights against each other and... lesser species who were armed with assorted weaponry to make it fair.

Or at least that's what the poster for Apocalypse Damnos XLI promised. It would take place in... hmmmm... am arena in the dark underbelly of the sector you're in.

And the winner would win a prize of a hundred plasma credits.

Biigoh aside from our point-defense lasers, all of our weapons are Matter-based and use physical ammunition, right? (The missiles and torpedoes I figured, but slightly confused/forgetting the details on the Heavy broadsides.)

also, i've forgotten. Aside from the time to rebuild them, are we unable/advised against giving our repair drones to our other sisters in the group?

The Heavy broadsides are "technically" matter-based cannons... being particle beam cannons.

The time it takes to rebuild the repair drones is the key issue.

Eh, why not.

For later, I think we should get the Schematics for a Heavy Energy-type pet, and possibly go looking for 'parasite' sized Pets.(the mech/droids, not the lesser beings.) If we win, we can get a second Pet and still have cash over as well.
The reason I specify the schematics, is because we are going to be here a few days while Big Sis ChiChi is getting the drone system installed.

Bii if we enter the fight as a participant and lose what happens? Is it a quest end due to our main body being destroyed, or would we just have to spend time remaking our smaller body inside of our larger one? Aside from the time to rebuild it would we suffer any other penalties from our body being destroyed? Voting to go as part of the audience until we have a better idea of the consequences of losing this tournament, might change it then if they aren't to severe.

Edit: Switching to participant since Bii clarified that the tournament was to KO or surrender. Given that weapons were being used I had thought it was to death or surrender.
