As much as drowning ourselves in sweets sounds like a good place to start, lets see if there is someplace we can find some new modules or augments so we can treat our ship-body as well as our girl-body.

The pet on the shuttle with us is cute though. Anyone up for looking for a pet shop around here after we get equipment?

 

I know, just having fun with In-character shenanigans.

I still say look for a pet shop crew recruitment center to see whats on offer some time. Maybe not get crew now, but worth a look.

Oh, and what gives her the right to decide what defines a "person"? By certain standards, she doesn't count as a "person".

Different physiology and nature does not mean that different species are not "people". Just that they're different.

 

Yes, I know. I'm a believer in educating people young, you see.

 

Obviously you need to have a subspace presence to be a person!

I personally like Mordin's rule. But really belief about what constitutes "people" varies from individual to individual even within a species like Humans, scifi loves to play on it but it is actually a big wildcard what any given species will think qualifies as "people".

A bit different from previous post being that plasma credits were approximately a dollar's value.

 

Even at the prices listed there you couldn't hire a taxi for days for a dollar.

Twenty years ago there were many countries where people were living on pennies a day, but these days the general wealth distribution between countries has flattened out (somehow despite inequity between individuals in already developed nations skyrocketing).

 

I'm seeing the dollar as the equivalent value for a space ship girl. And if you base the plasma credit on a US dollar. Then have space ship girls based on humans. A dollar for a human is a plasma credit for a space ship girl.

Basically space ships take up incredible amounts of resources in comparison to normal people so to them what could be a pittance would be a massive amount to a person.

I like Penwriter's idea. Even if it doesn't work out to get us any upgrades, it does let us see what prices are like, and what sort of upgrades we can expect to find. Besides that it can also be interpreted as just buy general souvenirs as well, so not like we will miss out on getting those.
