Oh good, I liked Helmut Schreiber as a character. In my head, I imagined Germany and Israel wanting to giving him an all expense paid tour so they could give him a proper "Victory parade" and generally treat him as a great Hero of All Free People of the World. He would politely decline, still recovering from the shock of finding out who his........ twin brother was (might be better than calling him a father, more accurate from a genetics perspective).

Just the thought of Adolf Hitler's clone being given a hero's welcome and celebration in Israel makes me laugh and fills me with joy.

The slight aversion of her eyes combined with the hesitation suggests that she's about to lie.

"Yes. I am the only living hybrid. But-. While I am sure that there are many things about the differences between our worlds we could discuss, we should focus on what brought me here. How did it look from your side?"

I nod. "Jor-El? If you would?"

"Jor-?"

A hologram showing the red hole as it is now appears, along with a scale. Next to it a recording plays of me appearing next to it and it expanding and disgorging her. She watches the playthrough, then returns her attention to me.

"Who is Jor-El?"

"Kal-El's father?" She shakes her head. "The man who sent him to Earth in the first place, in order to get him off Krypton when it exploded? In this parallel he included a near-copy of his mind with Superman's pod."

"I.. don't think that I ever knew his name. I.. don't even know that Overman knows it."

"Well, you can let him know when you next see him. Assuming that's the same on your parallel. Do you know what the.. red thing is?"

She shakes her head. "No. Something much like it appeared over the skies of Greater Germania. The New Statemen were investigating, when smaller portals began opening all across our world. One of them opened in front of a train. I attempted to stop the train safely, but I was pushed through myself. After that…" She shakes her head. "I do not clearly remember. Pain, burning, disorientation…" She shakes her head again. "I am sorry, I do not remember anything else until I awoke here."

"You said that Overman gave you advice on how to behave. Does this sort of thing happen a lot where you're from?"

"Not often, but he has travelled to parallel universes before." She smiles faintly. "He has been my world's greatest hero for sixty years. He has a large amount of experience to share with me."

For a moment I see his face. His hair's a little shorter than Kal-El's, but otherwise they could be the same man. The memory I'm seeing… She was younger -and shorter- then, and his expression is a mixture of surprise and joy.

I remember reading Red Son, and that version of Kal-El was still a good person. Just one with a radically different ideology than the one I'm used to. Stalin might have made extensive use of political executions and prisoner labour but he didn't. He awkwardly referred to it as being part of an earlier age.

How would a Kal-El who grew up in Nazi Germany be a 'good' man?

I'm coming up with nothing. Stalin's terror tactics aren't inherent to the Communist ideal; they were just his method for realising it without doing the 'universal raising of class consciousness' thing that Marx assumed would come first. But Nazi ideology is inherently genocidal. The idea that some people are lesser than others as a result of their genetic background is an intrinsic part of it. So… Maybe he'd just be less vicious about it? Exile rather than mass murder?

I can ask Overgirl for the details later. But in her case, there's no way a 'good' Nazi would accept someone experimenting on Aryan children like that.

I suspect that they didn't tell him what they were doing.

Because they were worried that he'd stop them. Which means that whatever else he is, he isn't mindlessly obedient to the wishes of the Fuhrer-.

"Al.. right. So we've got no idea what the portals are, where they're from or who might be creating them."

"Could they be created by someone here?"

"Certainly. And now that I know that you don't know anything about them, I'll start contacting the most likely culprits."

She lights up her eyes again, but this time fully under control.

"Do you require assistance?"

"I prefer not to threaten people with violence."

"Then what do you threaten them with?"

"Mind control. Or at least, significant external mental influence." Her eyes dim once again and she blinks at me in surprise. "Most powerful Orange Lantern. I can nudge a person's desires in a variety of ways. And no, I haven't done that to you."

Her face becomes carefully blank.

"If I had, the idea wouldn't still bother you." Hm. "Alright, I need to report in, then you can either accompany me on my rounds or stay here and read up on our history. I assume that you want to be involved in the investigation?"

She nods sharply. "Yes."

"I will point out that with the Nazis'-"

"National Socialists'."

"-defeat, this world and its people are obviously rather different to what you're used to. Please defer to me before doing anything rash."

She nods. "This is your world. I.. would prefer not to deal with.. certain people-."

"I'm aware. Is now a good time to mention that one of my great grandfathers was a gypsy?"

"One-" She shrugs. "-great grandfather is within acceptable bounds. You could never be Fuhrer, but few are afforded that opportunity."

"How nice." I raise my left hand. "Orange Lantern to Watchtower. Our guest has woken up. I'm afraid she doesn't have an explanation as to exactly what happened. A great many portals opened on the parallel Earth she comes from and she accidentally went through one while protecting a train."

John's face appears over my ring, prompting a quickly-suppressed frown from Overgirl.

"Understood. What's her name?"

"Overgirl."

He nods. "The hole looks like it's settled down for now. We're feeding the information to Earth's best physics researchers to see if they can work out what's going on."

"'Best' or 'best conventional'?"

"Both. Though if you can get hold of someone we can't, be my guest."

"Will do. I'll let you know if I find anything. Orange Lantern out."

His head disappears-.

Was there a version of the SI on earth 50, i think someone mentioned him being lobotomized, and i was wondering if it was true?

Will this episode be a two parter?

Will we see anyone from earth 10 sometimes in the future, that is after this episode, and if it is a two parter, the next one finishes?

Will you insert a character from another fictional setting like you did with Misa, Death Note, and Sunset, MLP, in the paragon side?

The thing to remember is that they're not Nazi supervillains, fighting against liberty and apple pie. They're Nazi superheroes, fighting against aliens, insurgents and race-traitors. At this point in history, most of their work is conventionally superheroic, even if the terrorists they kill claim to be motivated by a dead political ideology.

Actually, no. The legislature has actual power in Greater Germania, subordinate to the Fuhrer. Foreign allies are a separate thing, and some are quite independent.

Does Peter Wynne know that he doesn't have a soul, and if so then has he tried to fix it by hiring some magic users to help him, like say Circe, she seemed to be more of a party girl in the cartoon and just liked messing with Diana, rather than someone who is trying to kill her to avoid a prophecy?
Has he hired any magic users?
How is MCU SI dealing with his lack of a soul, or does he not know about it?
If he knows then how would he try to fix it? He could go to Asgard.
How is the MCU SI been changed by using a infinity stone to power his ring, and what infinity stone is that?
Has the MCU SI injected himself with the super soldier serum, or at least something else to give himself superpowers, like extremis or something else?
Is avenger Paul getting help with that whole no soul thing from Asgard and Hela, i read a fan made omake about how she says that she will increase her efforts at giving him a soul, and has he injected himself with some super serum in this universe or something to give him powers?

Yes, it's amazing how many mistakes could be attributed to him after he died and how all of the surviving officers had always disagreed with him and therefore couldn't be blamed for any of it. It's a bit like how none of the English football team at the world cup really wanted to do a Nazi salute.

Having largely avoided violent conflict... Aside from a brief period where Morgana le Faye turned the whole of Britain medieval, he hasn't really encountered much magic. He'll probably build one very slowly by natural processes.

No. Since Atlantis 12 is tech-based, there isn't a ready pool of qualified magicians.

I don't know enough about how souls work in Universe 199999 to comment.

I know that Atros was a capable magic user, but does your post above mean that it's made of material universe magic with some red light in it, like John Stewart 50 after he flew into the battery but before renegade did his soul surgery to give him powers similar to the Guardians?

Does the renegade know that Talbot is red enlightened, or is he just thinking that he is very good at controlling and using his anger, rather than having perfect equilibrium with his hatreds and furies, like the paragon has with his desires?
Does the renegade even know about emotional enlightenment?
Is John Stewart 50 enlightened and is that gl Illustres with the green quote marks,the one OL met on Oa and looks like a diamond, also enlightened?
Would it be possible for Paul and Guy to use their powers like Stewart 50 without his ring, both of them have had the embodiment of their respective spectrum fuse with them, and would Alan be capable of dong that?

Also avenger Paul has Asgard, a realm of literal gods, and possibly Olympus if Thor is friends with Herakles like in the comics, to get the necessary help he needs in obtaining a soul.
Atlantis in earth 16 was said in the comics to use both tech and magic, though i could be mistaken about that one, and Atlantis in the cartoon did use magic in the past,the whole trident and sorcerer kings, so they probably still have it.
As for the Thor movie with Asgard, well Thor only said that they don't really have much of a diffrence between the two and see them as one in the same. They probably treat magic as simply another branch of science rather than the whole mystic mumbo jumbo thing people on earth see it as.

Yes, but without awakening they'd have to learn how to use it the hard way.

Also avenger Paul has Asgard, a realm of literal gods, and possibly Olympus if Thor is friends with Herakles like in the comics, to get the necessary help he needs in obtaining a soul.

It isn't a realm of gods. They were quite carefully to never call them that in the cartoon.

I am going to guess this is the first symptom that has happened to universe 16 in regards to what the red queen and Time trapper Paul are doing. The investigation just started and the setup is too huge to be finished in a single episode.

Currently, I believe this episode will deal with the first multiversal refugee (Overgirl) and how our heroes/Paul are going to handle her and may even end with another multiversal refugee from another universe (great way to poach interesting characters) and Paul deciding that the controllers need to be informed (and the controllers will flip their shit because if the multiverse is unstable that would mean the anti-monitor will likely return).

I am hoping our Paul is going to contact Baul to coordinate their resources with them, and by proxy will contact the Justice League our Paul stompped... Etc.

But that isn't going to be relevant for now, I expect this episode to be fun and I can already see how fun the interactions with Overgirl and the rest of the team are going to be especially with a certain mulatto firebrand of SJW girl.

Powerful magical and metaphysical beings then, who know a lot of magic and how the universe works and have been worshipped by ancient nordic peoples in the past as deities.
The same could be applied to the MCU Asgardians.
The whole what is and isn't a god in fiction is semantics at this point.
The new gods in DC comics are sometimes just portrayed as being advanced aliens, who may like to call themselves gods, rather than actual gods.
I read something called Avengers Goddes on Ff. net. by Reyel, it was really interesting at how it portrayed the various pantheons and gods in the MCU.
Also i really like how you explained the SI worship of pagan gods in you story.
