To avoid further derailing the Worm thread:

I did say "a good chunk", not all of them; "fairy tales", "Norse myth" and "Greco-Roman myth" were all in the list of exceptions, as were quite a few classic works of literature like Dracula and Pride and Prejudice. They were still heavily outnumbered even in literature, though. And the main gay ship in the Arthurian fandom on AO3 seems to be Arthur/Merlin.

Do you have a list of the "Rules for Riley"? Every time I read a new one, I just can't help myself from laughing out loud, really loudly, no matter what hour of the day or night it is. Just absurdly funny.

So far I've seen:

Rule 2: If the plan starts with 'kill people indiscriminately', it's a bad plan.
Rule 7: If it's a parasitic worm, then no one's going to want it
