Still, the only benefit to pulling a Voldemort and having multiple phylacteries would be the fear that your organs would get attacked while away, which is kinda fair. Well, also as potential Quirk training exercises.
You know, if our guy can have Awakenings for each quirk he owns, maybe he can do this. Or maybe he can just have the time limit for his skin puppet disappear so he can achieve lichdom.

I'm gonna copy an answer I did to a similar post on SB about how the jar power works:
For logical reasons (and balance) I'd say that since Canopic Jar is based off of the irl egyptian burial jars he would need to put a minimum of lung, stomach, liver, and intestines in a single jar for it to count as a respawn point (and let him regenerate/puppet his redundant body). He can make more jars after that but they would need to be returned faster than the 48 hour time limit and he wouldn't activate the regeneration effect from doing something basic and small like plucking his eye out and putting it back in on a loop. The more he puts in a jar, the less he has to worry about being damaged and the faster he'd regenerate from any major damage.

He could play with his organs whenever, but he would be an absolute idiot to do it without making a Lung/Stomach/Liver/Intestines jar beforehand to make his body redundant in case an accident happened. Regenerating from a bare minimum jar would take ages, but if it was a jar stuffed with everything besides his "outer layer" it'd probably only be a few days.
The quirk actually has a 48 hour time limit. It takes 24 hours before the body begins to break down, and another 24 hours after that before the connection is severed fully and he needs to regrow a body. Since the human body doesn't have enough bones to make any sizable container out of that would hold even a fraction of your organs I assume the quirk makes extra bone and sinew for the construction and it gets reabsorbed when you retake the jar back in. I assume he's just as strong as he'd be with all his bones and organs due to telekinesis bullshittery, but he'd probably be a fair bit less durable considering the fact that he's now a flesh pinata.

For Eraserhead there's two ways I could go about it. Either his power doesn't work because he isn't looking at "Toji", he's looking at a flesh shell puppeted by Toji from miles away. Another thing is that I assume for all intents and purposes Toji turning into a bone jar would more than qualify him for the "he's a heteromorph, he's immune" card.

TLDR to all that shit: Toji can only have one phylactery, he can make more jars past that one but they won't count as additional respawn points (so no horcrux spam for now). He can trigger the regeneration effect by reabsorbing or removing large parts of himself but can't cheat it into activating by removing small parts. His strength as a skin puppet is just as high as his actual strength due to telekinesis bullshittery and his durability is probably kinda shit.

I thought with the wording of "jars" being plural, each of his organs would have their own jar. Though later wording does have jar as singular. I suppose he can do both? Maybe the 24 hour limit is only if he ejects everything? So if he only does it to his heart or kidneys or something the time limit might be longer.

Quirks can grow stronger with training, and that'd be a hell of a way to do it. It also gives the option that if his body is destroyed/killed/whatever, he'd reform around his phylactery heart.

But what happens if he has two different jars to reform around? The first (and funniest) option is he grows a body around each jar. Whether the bodies are telepathically linked or not is also to be considered. The second option is that the body reforms around one jar and the other jar dies off or something, idk. This one would probably have a complex equation depending on biomass and/or "hierarchy" of organs (brain is priority over heart, heart over lungs, lungs over stomach, etc.) to determine where it reforms.

Still, the only benefit to pulling a Voldemort and having multiple phylacteries would be the fear that your organs would get attacked while away, which is kinda fair. Well, also as potential Quirk training exercises.

...I had a sudden thought, what are the limits of "vital organs and bodily systems"? Obviously the stuff in his torso counts, but could he push out his entire skeleton? Everything but his skin? If he can do that, does his telekinesis somehow compensate for losing most of his weight, or does he become light enough to basically float? Both? What's the limit of his telekinesis on his body? Could he fly by dragging his "cicada shell" through the air?

What happens if Eraserhead glares at him? Is his body instantly "killed" or does he just temporarily lose the ability to control it?

These are absolutely all questions that need to be explored.
If this is the way you like to think can I recommend a quest for you:

His strength as a skin puppet is just as high as his actual strength due to telekinesis bullshittery and his durability is probably kinda shit.
I imagine his technical durability is weaker.

Functional durability on the other hand… given that his shell is moving thanks to telekinesis rather than anything else, most damage is cosmetic, making the functional durability higher as damage really does not change the amount of work/force that can be exerted.

Damage to long bones possibly reduces the amount of leverage the telekinesis can exploit to amplify its force.

The terminology I would use is
Reduced damage resistance
Increased damage tolerance

Old demon with a new dream New
When Toji told his mom about Canopic Jar, he had half-expected the 'regenerator special' to be waiting for him in the first testing room he got shuffled into. And by that he meant an M134 minigun shredding him in half down the middle while two doctors sat next to his jar and ate popcorn.

… Now in his defense, that was basically how it went in every movie, anime, and every other piece of fiction on the planet. Someone's able to come back from the dead or rapidly regenerate their body? Make em look like a plate of spaghetti a fat man stepped on.

He probably would've preferred that a hell of a lot more than what he had gone through instead. Instead of just blowing him up like a pibble about to experience a new particle effect, he instead got… calisthenics. Yay.

That probably wasn't what it was supposed to be, but he wasn't really sure how else to describe a three hour loop of going wireless, doing sets of stretches and exercises with a bunch of sensors taped to his skin, and putting himself back together to cool off while going through a non-radioactive ct scan.

So far they had yet to even inch towards the idea of testing his regeneration, and him floating the idea of cutting his shell of a hand off with a hacksaw was met with unilateral pushback. He had to admit, he let the intrusive thoughts win on that one.

Apparently regenerators were rare. Rare enough that they needed to get some sort of ethics committee approval to even cut off his phalanges (that's scholar talk for fingers), let alone a whole limb. Apparently a kid saying "trust me bro" wasn't good enough. Who would've thought?

The only reason testing capped out at three hours was because he was hungry enough to eat a horse, and he accidentally told that to the donkey nurse checking his pulse. Woops.

An hour long break was called for everyone involved by that point, and he was pretty sure he heard the doctor mention something about a specialist arriving by the time they got back. He was probably going to forget by the time they got back, so it was worth noting while he still remembered it.

Now the real question was, where was he and his mom going to go and grab a bite to eat right after getting out of the- Mcdonalds. He's a hungry American that just rolled out of a hospital test, where else was he supposed to go? A ramen shop?

… Shit, he really should go to a ramen shop sometime. Maybe he should invite Mei along to go grab some with him sometime? He would rather do a collab project with someone he knew than a greasy stranger, after all.

Besides, anything that pressured her into taking a bath probably counted as community service.
Toji: Yo, remember that project I agreed to meet up for in a few days?
Mei: Are you already canceling???
Toji: Jeez, is being a flake that common in the industry?
Toji: I'm still up for doing it, I was just wondering if you wanna swing by a ramen place beforehand?
Toji: I just realized I've been in Japan for a quarter of a year and haven't even hit up a ramen place yet.
Mei: You've only been in Japan for a few months?
Toji: Yeah, I'm originally from America. I got adopted by my mom a few months back after I woke up in Japan.
Mei: How did you even "wake up" in Japan in a way that made you adoptable?
Toji: Human trafficking or smth, idk 🤷‍♂️
Mei: What, too good to fly coach?
Toji: Bro 🗿
Toji: You want free food or nah?
Mei: Sure! It'll give us some extra time to brainstorm how to make some Plus Ultra babies!
Toji: Japanese is my second language and auto-correct is my first enemy, mind rewording that and saying it again?
Mei: We can use the extra time to think about babies?
Toji: Well, I guess I know what you're willing to do for a Klondike bar now
Toji: I'm gonna have to turn you down on that one. I've only been out of the hospital for about a month
Toji: And I'm 15. That too
Mei: ???
Mei: Oh!
Mei: You think I'm talking about sex! 🤯
Toji: 🤨
Toji: wtf are you talking about if it ain't that?
Mei: Making super cute inventions, obviously!
Toji: Obviously?
Mei: *Obliviously 😒
"Aww, are you letting Toru know you're in the hospital again? Smart move. Girls tend to get mad when their… very good friends don't let them know they got into trouble." Looking up from his phone with an eye roll, Toji shot a dry smile at his mom as she slid into the booth on the opposite side of him, their food on a tray laid out between them.

"Nah, I was texting Mei to see if she wanted to get lunch before we did that project together. But uh… now that you mentioned it, I probably should let Toru know I'm doing good before I forget. She'd probably get pissed at me if I forgot to tell her twice."

"You know you don't always need to plan out your calendar in advance, right? It's normal to just shoot someone a text and ask if they want to go out somewhere an hour in advance, not three days."

Nemuri didn't hesitant to laugh in his dumbfounded face and ruffle his hair from across the table he shot her way at the reminder that normal people didn't schedule going out to chain restaurants three business days ahead of time.

"Listen, in my defense…" Wait, what the hell was he even defending? Being an awkward weirdo was basically how he passed both his citizenship test and got admitted into High School. Hell, didn't he listen to some news broadcast yesterday about some stalker with a plush-ification quirk that got arrested for abducting someone's pets? Can't even have a fucking gerbil in Neo Japan, on God.

Shit, he already ranting about dumb shit like gerbil abduction in his own head. He should probably text Toru before he forgot completely.
Toji: Yo, I'm in the hospital again
Toji: Same reason as before, still better than ever ✌️
Toji: Should be out in another few hours, just wanted to let you know ahead of time
Toru: Thanks for letting me know!!!
Toru: I'll visit after school gets out!
Toji: Don't expect me to show it off, apparently it's scary 😰
Toru: Aww, srry if the nurses had a bad reaction to your quirk 💔🫂
Toru: I promise I won't get judgy over your quirk! Us 'villainous quirk' holders have gotta stick together! 🥺
Toji: You have a "villainous" quirk? I never got that vibe while we were hanging out together in public
Toru: Gender norms ftw!!! 💃🕺
Toru: If I was a mizz instead of a miss-chievous cutie patootie I'd be MEGA fucked by now!!!
Toji: I suddenly get how you have a 'villainous' quirk now
Toji: I don't think it's villainous-scary tho. They didn't really freak out until they watched it with an ultrasound 🥶
Toji: gotta go, ttyl 👋
Toru: did you mean to type ultrasound???
Toji: yeah 🙂
"Alright, that time I was telling Toru about it… wait, should I be telling people about this? I feel like organ jars are a thing you're supposed to be quiet about having."

Finishing off the last of his fries while he was busy texting, Nemuri shrugged across he table from him and chuckled as she licked the salt off her fingers. If she tried ruffling his hair again he was going to grow a spontaneous ultra-sound quirk… and by that he means 'scream loudly'.

"Pfft. Come on, Snowball. I've seen the two of you interact. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't go two days before she was asking you why your chest suddenly feels hollow or why there's a warm statue with a heartbeat and an… interesting design inside your room. It's adorable that you actually told her though."

Toji couldn't even get upset at the reminder that his friend was a habitual snoop; only a fool hangs out with invisible nudists and complains about abnormal behavior.

"I doubt I'm going to be living daily life in wireless mode unless it's to go to the gym, and that's only if the doctor's hunch on me starving so much after regenerating is legit. Being a lich is cool and all, but I feel like being a jar kind of messed with my perspective a bit. You know, in an 'objects in mirror are closer than they appear' kinda way."

"Yeah, I uhh… I noticed. Are you sure you want to use this quirk for something like working out? I'm not sure if you suddenly showing up to your gym foggy-eyed and unable to stare directly at the people you're talking to would go over well with any regulars that know you."

"What, you think they're going to think I got bewitched by the Gains Goblin?" Going by the dumbfounded look Nemuri shot his way, he was pretty sure gains goblins were in fact not a thing in Holy Nippon.

"… Snowie, they're probably going to think you got bewitched by a drug dealer. Not every issue is caused by villains… only most of them. Buuuuut there is enough regular crime left for the cops to keep themselves busy with."

Pausing as he demolished his fifth hamburger in as many minutes, Toji processed that sentence and realized there was something a bit off about it.

"Wait, what's the difference between a drug dealer and a villain? I thought all criminals were villains and heroes were just Super Swat for the normie cops."

Now in his defense, his google searches had kind of been a bit spotty due to every single website being more interesting than tvtropes to slip down like a freshly waxed staircase. Some assumptions had to be made for the greater good. Like playing wiki leapfrog, for instance.

"Right, thanks for the reminder that we need to get started on schoolwork soon. I guess the simplest and most watered down way to put it would be… hmm. If the crime was committed with a quirk and required it to be committed, then they're a villain and heroes are the ones that deal with them. That's the easiest way to sum it up."

"What if it's something stupid and petty like them using their hover hand quirk to grope a girl on a train? It's stupid and wrong, but not really something I'd put in the same category as The Jonkler." Going by the bitter grimace that his mom made at that, he doubted the answer was going to be anything besides stupid.

"It could go either way, honestly. Depends on if he was within arm's reach of the victim, as dumb as that sounds. Another big one would be how easy it is to trace the quirk back to him. If there was an immediate indicator that the quirk was his without checking people's registries, then it'd probably be filed as a regular crime. Using a quirk to get away with a crime is honestly more serious than just using a quirk during a crime, but that's too much of a rabbit hole for a Wcdonalds conversation."

Ah, so quirks followed arson rules. And by that he meant 'the easier it was to set a building on fire, the more you'd be punished for setting it ablaze'. Toji guessed that made sense… kind of, not really.

"Right, that sounds… almost not completely wrecked? Am I not understanding anything because I'm an American kid sitting in front of a pile of burgers, or does this sound like nonsense to you as well?"

He could tell he just asked a loadbearing question going by the sound of her high heels tip tapping away on the floor beneath the table.

"It's a system I think is worth upholding. I wouldn't be a pro otherwise. I'm not going to pretend it's perfect or even great, but I was lucky enough to be born after All Might went pro and came back to Japan, so I never had to see what it was like before the laws got put into place. I graduated near the absolute end of his peak, so I did grow up hearing a lot of stories about how it used to be before things were this civil though."

Slowly chewing on the burger that was wedged in his mouth, Toji thought that over and realized that as idiotic as that sounded, he supposed there could've been a hell of a lot worse laws to put into place right after a capeshit apocalypse.

"Well, I'd tell you that I'm sure it'll get better by the time I become an adult, but I doubt it. Here's hoping I have a big enough bag come graduation day. I yearn for the mountains."

Nemuri just openly laughed in his face at that. Rude.

"Pfft, sure. What are you going to do after you get handed your diploma and you have enough money for whatever mad scientist bunker you're imagining yourself living in? Are you going to just look your friends dead in the eyes and say 'I'll video call you a few times a week, feel free to visit'? I doubt it."

"I mean… even if I don't stay at the place permanently, it'd still be nice to have. Maybe I'll live there in the summer and move to the city during the winter, like a migratory salaryman? My work is mostly digital, so it's not like it'd be that hard to pull off."

Shaking her head at him with a cutthroat grin stitched across her face, Nemuri piled up their empty wrappers and drinks on the tray before standing up to move towards the front of the 'restaurant'.

"It's about time we head back to the doctors, so how about we talk about the future on the way back? I think you've been enjoying yourself long enough to start realizing that your forest fantasy might be a bit… untenable. How about you tell me about what you want out of it on the walk back and we brainstorm it a bit?"

Toji was pretty sure 'brainstorm it' was momspeak for 'let me poke holes in it', but he was self-aware enough to admit that maybe, just maybe… his kneejerk plan he cooked up while lying in a hospital bed while suffering from the Post-Isekai Shivers might not be a seaworthy vessel to ship his life goals on.

"Uhh… sure. I'm not really sure where to start with it, though. Do you mean where I want to live, how I plan on getting things to survive, what I plan to do to keep cash rolling in, or…?"

Dumping their small mountain of trash in the bin on their way out the door, Toji cringed at the cold wall of air that slammed into him as they walked into the winter street. Thank God his mom got him a new parka for the weather ahead of Christmas.

… Now that he thought about it, did Japan celebrate Christmas? He knows they ate fried chicken during it and handed out a gift or two between family, but he doubted the vibes were all that similar. He probably should still get Toru a gift as well though.

"How about all of the above? If you really want to be a forest hermit, then by God you'll be the best forest hermit since Radagast. How are you going to become the ultimate forest hermit if you don't plan for it? So let's break it down, talk over how it would work and what you would want or expect out of it, and see if it's really something you still want even after all the numbers are crunched."

Oh God, his mom was being aggressively supportive. His ass was so cooked. Here's hoping that doctor guy the hospital called in showed up before she made him suffer ego death for making the wrong life goals.

What was the new doctor guy's name again? Dr. Tsubasa, or something along those lines?

Good news, the doctor was already there by the time they came back. Bad news, he was a stammering weirdo that looked like Dr. Eggman. Toji wasn't sure what it was about the guy, but from the moment he had stepped into the room with his mom the guy just would not stop gawking and stammering at him, as if he was a paleontologist that just met a neanderthal.

Was his medical work really that fucked up? Toji knew one or two nurses had to leave the room when they took that cool colored x-ray of his organ jar, but besides that he hadn't really thought there was anything off about the quirk itself.

… Besides the fact that he could do a wicked Kenjaku impersonation as long as Canopic Jar was active.

Watching on from his slumped spot in the corner of the room as Dr. Eggstein did his best attempt at vocalizing a chainsaw's mating call, Toji slowly side-eyed his mom to see if she was seeing this shit as well. She was, and going by the look of annoyed confusion across her own face this sort of thing wasn't normal. Probably.

Either way, Toji would let her do a majority of the talking on this one. He already had one instance where he asked a heteromorph with tourettes why they were talking like an Animal Crossing villager, and he wasn't sure if he had the mental strength to go through that a second time.

"I m-must admit, when I accepted the offer to lend my experience to t-this case, I certainly hadn't been expecting… everything. I must admit, Ms. Kayama, that I… I honestly don't quite know where to begin!"

"Yeah, my son's a bit of a… what was it you called yourself, Snowie? A Spiders Georg? He's a bit of an outlier, is what I'm trying to get at. What I'm interested in are his new test results."

"R-right, of course. His results on the newest test were technically inconclusive, but Canopic Jar is close enough in function to a few other quirks I worked on over the years that I feel safe in making an appraisal. I believe both his regeneration and his jar's formation are efficient enough in cell production and formation that the energy cost is essentially negligible. Which is to say, the chance of your son wasting away due to being incapable of finding enough energy to heal himself is negligible."

Taking a glance his moms' way, he could see she wasn't exactly having the best time at being told that this wasn't only a possible problem they checked for, but that they did it after three plus hours of testing.

… Wait, if the quirk didn't have any energy demands, then why the fuck did he just smash down almost a dozen burgers in one go? Toji wasn't afraid to admit that he ate like a garbage disposal, but that was a bit much even for himself.

"The testing is also inconclusive on whether or not his reformed muscles from the… partial jarring tests was reverting to it's previous state or regrowing new fibers, and we won't know until a visible change occurs (or a sample is extracted) but I would tentatively say that it's the latter. It's not a well known fact, but regeneration quirks are almost guided by a… subconscious conductor that knows what to keep and what to discard, as odd as that may sound. I've published several papers myself on the phenomenon."

Scrunching up her face in concentration as she thought that over, it didn't take his mom very long to sum up his exact thoughts on the matter himself.

"You're saying his body might make his muscles grow back stronger because it knows he wants it to grow stronger? That sounds a bit too mystical for my tastes, but if the end result is my brat being able to hit his goals faster then… good?"

Flipping through the stack of papers in his hands, the doctor must've noticed something odd in the paperwork, because he ended up pausing for almost half a minute just to stare at a single paper, dumbfounded.

"My apologies for how scattered I appear to be, I haven't had much time to study the case in depth. The hospital refused to transfer his files digitally or even let them leave the designated rooms. It says here that Toji is… adopted? I had assumed he was your son from the quirk connection."

The smile that his mom shot towards the doctor at that could have made a box jellyfish shrivel up from the poison that dripped from it.

"Oh, he's only my son because I'm raising him, that's all. The adoption certificate and the shared quirk are just a nice little bonus. Is there a problem with that, Dr. Tsubasa? Were you hoping you could run some cross tests between his biological parents and himself?"

Damn, his mom was way too nice giving this weirdo a social out like that. If there was ever a time he would've yelled 'world star' while his mom went full Karen, it would've been that.

"Y-yes, of course. I'm sorry if my wording implied otherwise. I had simply assumed there was a biological relation due to the… similarities between yourself and… your son?"

Yeah, that sounded like pure bullshit to Toji. Outside of the superficial traits like them both being tall and having long hair, there really wasn't all that much connecting him and his mom together appearance wise.

He was pretty sure his mom believed that just as much as he did, but he doubted she was going to keep pressing the issue. He had been through testing for multiple hours and she had already gone through the mental whiplash of finding out her son was a packet of chicken drummies shoved in an urn pretending to be taxidermy Pinocchio.

The point was, they were willing to roll their eyes and move on from the doctor being shoving his entire foot in his own mouth. And then he opened his mouth and said one more sentence.

"I assume his biological mother is unknown, since he's living with you instead of her?"

If you were to stop and ask a regular person on the street who the strongest person in the world is, most people would confidently declare that it's All Might, no question about it. Others might think it over and say that Stars and Stripes could beat him, or perhaps they would even give the title of 'World's Strongest' to another top ranked hero from a well-off nation.

The only universal connector between every answer given would be that they are not only a hero, but an S-ranked one at that. After all, even the strongest S-ranked villain couldn't hold a candle to the weakest S-ranked hero, whoever they may be.

But what if S-rank wasn't the highest ranking a villain could hold? What if there was a rank beyond even that, reserved for a single villain? Could this sole SS-rank villain possibly go toe to toe with an S-ranked hero? The answer, to the great dismay of any who would learn it, was yes. He could not trade blows with All Might, but he could even permanently put an end to his prime era… at the small cost of a decade or two himself.

This information was buried from ever being known by the public, obviously. It would be foolish for any government to ever willingly admit such a dangerous individual had been lurking underneath the public's feet, for decades.

If the public were ever to learn that such a dangerous villain had been lurking underneath their feet and around every corner for longer than even their grandparents had been alive, they would naturally begin to worry and fret not only about what he had done, but what he was going to do… assuming they knew All for One was still alive, that is.

He could only imagine what the public would ask if they still knew All for One was alive… if he was still alive. What would their reaction be, he wondered, if they found out the demon king All for One… was currently being ghosted by his friend?

Slowly tapping his fingers against the plush armrests of his wheelchair, All for One couldn't even bring himself to be annoyed at just how late his friend was to arriving at this meeting that he-himself had requested. It wasn't very often that Kyudai asked to see him in person, and the momentary joy of harming someone that wronged him had grown stale decades ago. He saw no reason to put on a performance when it was only himself and his friend.

That didn't stop him from imagining the various blend of mental quirks he could use to peacefully harm his friend though. Maybe he could give him a repeating nightmare for a week about suffering the after-effects of being nuked after missing the final train to safety by less than a minute? Perhaps that would teach his friend the value of being punctual.

His friend, as if sensing the moderate prank he had been planning to play on him for the next six days, quickly scampered into his sensory radius at that. All for One supposed he could cut the joke down to three days, assuming the reason he was late validated the justifications given.

"Huff… huff… I'm sorry for being so late, Shigaraki. I felt it was in my best interest to make copies of the few photos or papers I was able to take with me while I was… leaving the hospital I was working at."

"Oh? Did a mother not appreciate you telling her that her son was nothing but worthless fodder, and his quirk was nothing more than an insignificant parlor trick?"

In other words, perfectly average. It was one of his greatest frustrations with the newer generations as time went on. Quirks may have been getting better and better as the years went on, but the generational improvement could not offset just how many dregs freshly entered the rotation year after year. After all, what was the worth of one pro quirk if he had to dig through a hundred thousand cases of electric eyelashes and marshmallow teeth to find it?

"The… huff… the exact opposite, in fact. The mother didn't appreciate my comments about how unique her son was, and then the dialogue fell through after I… attempted to trace the teen's parentage and was met with a void of information. This kid… I think he's yours, Shigaraki. His quirk is almost like an exact parallel of your own."

All for One freely laughed at that, making sure his voice carried far enough to fill the entire hallway outside of it and beyond with the sound of his ringing cackles.

"Whoever you upset must have had a delirium quirk and been more than willing to use it. I can assure you, Kyudai, I am not a father. Not one by accident, and certainly not one on purpose. I'm not sure what filled your mind with such a foolish thought, but I suggest expelling the delusion sooner rather than later."

Looking through the cameras placed strategically around the room, All for One watched as Kyudai began to fidget with a tablet in his hands, his shoulders hunched so far upwards that it was nearly impossible to tell he even had a neck.

"I know it sounds hard to believe, but I managed to gather pictures of some of the more important documents before they came back from the intermission the staff called and discussion... broke down. I wasn't able to take any physical documents with me before I had to leave, but I'm sure it would take little effort to break into the records and make copies of them all… a-after some time has passed for them to suspect someone besides myself, o-of course…"

All for One didn't even bother to call out the empty bluster from his friend. If he thought the information contained in that hospital was more important than Garaki's public identity, then he would be more than willing to help his friend fake his death after he was done extracting information from the location.

Accepting the tablet from Garaki's hands that would let him view the contents digitally, it only took him skimming the contents of the tablet now cracking from his quickly tightening grip for a moment for his prior skepticism to be washed away by a wave of pure shock at what he was reading. More importantly, what he was seeing.

"Oh, how I wish I already had that Canopic Jar quirk under a microscope. I don't want to give you false hope, Shigaraki, but I think that quirk might be the one. All the other regeneration quirks we attempted to use on you were inherently unreliable, not built for upkeep on a body that contained a multitude of quirk factors. But a quirk designed by and built for supporting a multifaceted quirk vessel just might-"

"I suggest you return to your lab. Immediately."

Garaki felt himself freeze as Shigaraki's voice washed over him like an ashen avalanche, every hair on the back of his neck standing up straight as he finally noticed his friend slumped back in his wheelchair, the tablet in his palms almost cracked fully down the middle from the force he was holding it.

"O-of course, Shigaraki. Do you want me to prep the labs for quirk extraction, or-?"

Halting his question with a shriek of terror, Kyudai threw himself to the floor with his hands over his bald head as the large ornate desk his friend was previously sitting behind went flying over his head to smash against and through the far wall, sending fragmented chunks of wood and plaster flying across the width of the room.

"Absolutely not. Now return to your lab via Johnny or Kurogiri before you return via me tossing you across the skyline like an out of shape discus."

Watching as Garaki picked himself up off the floor with a quick nod towards where he sat, All for One watched as his friend bolted from the wrecked room before focusing back on the cracked and half-broken tablet in his hands, it's structural integrity just barely stable enough to let him continue viewing the tablet's contents through his quirk.

It wasn't the realization that another human had finally managed to evolve a multi-quirk factor like his own over two hundred years after the dawn of quirks that caused his emotions to run so hot, nor was it the confirmation that Garaki had finally managed to find one of most sought after quirks, a phylactery that would allow him to take one step closer to his true ideal- becoming a demonic lichlord.

No, what made All for One's control slip and his emotions begin to fray was instead the single photo of the person of interest Garaki had managed to take, their appearance crystal clear to him even after almost two centuries of separation.

Yoichi Shigaraki. His twin brother, and a decade younger than when his hand slipped and his punishment became capital. Found by his sole friend alive and well after over two centuries of being dead, with a phylactery quirk of all things.

Taking the tablet into both hands, Zen began to read the documents more closely once the haze of awed disbelief finished working it's way through his veins. Not only did his brother have a phylactery quirk, but he had already managed to copy and consume the quirk of the hero he was staying with, as well as bud a new quirk that seemingly specialized in helping him scan and assess the quirks around him in a similar manner to how All for One could sense available quirks around himself.

His brother was alive and in his full youth once again, and he was blessed with a full bill of health and everything that entailed… such as the quirk their insipid harlot of a mother had been incapable of providing for him in his first life, for instance.

To think that in another life, he and his brother's dream could have truly been a reality. Him, the demon lord capable of stealing the strength of those he conquered, and his brother, the angelic hero capable of finding his own strength from within himself. Like yin and yang, they could have been an eternal balance that kept each other in check for untold generations. Their endless feud would have been the stuff of legends.

Instead he was forced to spend the decades chasing after the ghost of his brother's echo, caught chasing a permanently failed dream all because their failure of a mother had been incapable of so much as nourishing the brood she had gotten herself knocked up with!

Feeling the tablet finally give out and snap into a shower of sparks and glass in his clenched hands, Zen slowly let out the breath that had been building in his throat before it could turn into the infuriated scream he was desperate to let out into the air.

It wasn't until Zen finished grinding up the fragmented glass clutched in his hands into a fine powder and let it slide through his fingers and down to the floor that he realized… he no longer truly cared about All Might. Or his criminal empire. Or much of anything he had managed to distract himself with over the years, for that matter. It truly was all just bells and whistles for him to tug on to amuse himself, like a parrot suffering from zoochosis.

No, that obnoxious cockatiel could keep his brother's hand-me-down spittle for however long he managed to hold onto it for. Why would Zen waste his time chasing after an out of date grudge when he could instead focus on the revitalized dream staring him right in the face.

Him, the all powerful demon lord, constantly attacking the helpless masses from beneath the earth and through the shadows. His brother, the ever-evolving angelic hero, constantly swooping down from high above to save the day with a wide smile and a brand new power just in the nick of time.

It had been decades since Zen had thought about those ridiculous Captain Hero comics. Not even All Might's resemblance to one of the main heroes in the serials had been enough to warrant more than the foggiest of memories before he buried it back down in the back of his mind.

For the first time in over half a decade, zen felt his heart begin to race as he thought about the future, and all that it promised him.

AN:
All for One's probably one of the bigger changes in this fic, besides the power allotment itself. His first appearance went from chapter 1 to chapter 9, and he's also a decent bit more proactive than he was in the first version.
Zen: I can't wait to get deadlocked in an eternal grudge match with my heroic twin for all eternity!
Toji: I wanna retire and live by a mountain lake in a warm log cabin.

The incoming "shadow war" between Toji and Zen will be great. Surely this will not hasten Toji's deep yearning for the mountains.

Which would be more entertaining, that they are related via the brother having a hidden kid, or that Toji is just a look alike from another dimension that has nothing to do with him.

Heck it could be both considering he is from the distant past of an alternate dimension, he could really be AFO's brother or nephew from time space shenanigans.

The funny part is if the doctor "friend" didn't shove his foot in mouth he could try running a dna test to see if they are related. Not that Afo in his insanity is questioning that at all.

Starts using esoteric quirk's to ping his brain like Akira.

"Brother!"

"I got that reference asshole leave me alone!"

"Of course you did we watched it together!"

Toji also had prostitute mother and twin brother right? Is he like, alt reality American One for All?
So he really is his alt reality brother, that is going to blow so many minds. Or maybe not considering the only one that could recognize him, as a guy that has been dead for centuries, is the lunatic himself...

Though it might be a special kind of sad when he rolls up on Toji and his 'brother' doesn't recognize this old cripple. Afo currently doesn't even have a face to be recognized with, just wait for him to pull off his mask with a "I am Your Brother Toji".

There is always a possibility of cloning.

Welp, it looks like Toji is going to be a Hero whether he wants it or not.

Hell, All For One will probably force Toji into the Hero Course out of sheer spite of seeing his "brother" apply to Support Course. After all, he can't have his hero-villain fantasy if his brother that one dude that just plays tech support.
