Paul now has the legitimate capacity to claim that banning all magic is literally a Nazi policy in any argument he gets into about it.

Though it was apparently conquered, but they're mostly left alone due to both believing they are somehow related to them and because controlling an underwater kingdom may be too difficult.

That would be funny but it may also anger them and alienate them and unfortunately he needs their help right now.

Maybe after everything is finished he can reveal it to them as a way to unsettle them.

Speaking as an ex-Mormon, I'd take the missionaries and SJWs over an actual Nazi any fucking day of the week. Mormons are just aggressively cheerful and helpful, and SJWs campaign for gender equality. Nazis are just plain evil.

On a slightly related note, their ‘World Ice Theory’ was by far the strangest and most nonsensical Universal Creation story I’ve ever read. At least for Norse, Aztecs, Egyptian, Celtic, and Cherokee make a fantasy narrative amount of sense.

 

Karl did say that while there are a lot of problems with how his society thinks and behaves, uniformity may still be a good thing.

The tone of this doctor is of someone who's done this kind of thing before. Done harmful things medically to a prisoner because they were all subhumans of one type or another. Maybe that didn't matter before because Germany was always stronger with their Overman and tech so even if a potentially valuable prisoner died, it probably wouldn't matter.

Earlier I mentioned it would be interesting to see Paul/JL try to help Overman fix Nazi earth while I'm still interested in that potential scenario I doubt any of them will say it's worth it to actually try to help these people.

 

I think most if them would say that it's worth it, since they'd be changing a society into something better, but they may not do it since it would probably take more time and resources than they have.

They already have enough trouble trying to protect their world, both from outside threats and inner ones. They may not want more trouble.

Handwriting analysis IS good evidence. But as is often the case, good evidence can be used in bad ways. It can't be treated as proof in and of itself, only as a measure of statistical likeliness. This is an issue with many kinds of evidence that require expert interpretation. And pseudoscience like trying to read state of mind or even personality traits out of someone's handwriting is bunk.

 

Uniformity is not a good thing. It reduces diversity of viewpoint for one, which stifles progress. Especially given the "official" position is anti-science in numerous ways.

True, as I said, Karl may not have a problem with uniformity, provided that it isn't uniformity to bad ideas, like the Nazis ideas.

Diversity of thought is a good thing but it can also lead to people holding viewpoints that are incorrect or downright stupid, and that can also lead to progress being stifled.

Karl has traveled to multiple universes and has seen societies that lack uniformity, and while he may think that while the defeat of the Nazis was a good thing there, the lack of order or uniformity is less appealing.

Not saying that he's right, just that this is probably why he likes uniformity as a concept.

 

I can sympathize with Overman on that, some more uniformity in general would be nice. That said if Overman has had a few meals on a more standard DC Earth, he is probably against uniformity when it comes to food culture as I doubt his Earth has Pizza, Hamburgers, American Chinese food, Mexican food and such.

 

Pizza has existed for a thousand years. It's still around on Earth 10, though not exactly popular in Germany. Similarly, the beef burger in a bun is an evolution of a 19th century German food. Mexican food exists, and I'm going to say that German soldiers attacking the southern US brought it back with them.

Chinese American food is gone.

I've been thinking about how Nazi Earth can be fixed... and I remembered that we've already seen such a thing happen before. Xalitan Xor did it. Although his world was slightly better. Coutara did it. Paul did it for Vega. Although that was worse. Paul is planning on doing it to the Reach. I don't see why Paul wouldn't arrange for a similar event to go down here. He prefers the slow and careful approach when he can, but that will not work here. The civilization is designed to resist change. The only reasons for why Paul hasn't considered doing it all ready is because, first, he doesn't care all that much about alternative Nazi Earth. And secondly, he does care a little about Angelica and Overman, and doesn't want to step on their toes.

The Bat told Paul in that same conversation that even though it was later said to the public Overman is an alien, because Hitler threw out the time traveling Aryan story first, some people in their present still believe Overman was a time traveler and Krypton was a future Aryan colony that sent Karl back.

This mix is everywhere. Paul noticed in the medical bay advanced human versions of Kryptonian technology but there's a eugenics tool to measure head size as a valid metric for subhuman status that has a place. Plus the Reich doctor was legitimately fine with injuring the prisoner with drugs because the prisoner met the subhuman standard.

Victory and advanced alien derived technology and a Kryptonian as their national icon have not made the Nazis right or given them wisdom. All it's done is made them a cancer that will not go away.

shouldn't this be ' wit ' as in intelligence or knack? The Nazi doctor is saying primitive people don't have the wit for technology since alien technology helped Germany win the war and the world. And with The Bat saying there are magic tribal shamans in African reservations, what magic that is native to Earth-10 cannot overwhelm the Nazi technical advantage.

Yes, but they only achieved their current form and became widespread in post WWII USA. On Overman's Earth Pizza would be very different and much more limited, Hamberger's would be somewhat different and harder to get as well as being served different toppings or no toppings, Also, while most East Asian dishes would be basically impossible to find Curry and other types of Indian food would likely still available in England at least.
That said given how culturally chauvinistic the Nazi's tended to be I have a hard time imagining German food not being the dominant cuisine because higher ranking Nazi's have insisted on it.

 

So, just because it did get mentioned, the Nazis kind of did try to claim Jesus as an Aryan warrior-priest. It was part of the Nazi attempt to establish "Positive Christianity".
