@Maleficarum I'll just note here the protagonist had intent to respond when he could do so in a way his father's bribes or influence couldn't make disappear, making connections and building up rep with some people that could make a punishment stick was just a step on that. That said, I appreciate the feedback, even if I admit its a grim topic.

Something I'm really surprised by is the lacking of Doom/DxD stories since the few I have found go so far into the edge zone it's not even funny

I honestly think they could go pretty good hand in hand with Doomguy having lots of punchmeat monster to kill and massive meathead powerhouses to go up against

While DXD gets to watch a 1 human wrecking ball do what ever he wants

Apparently, people think that in Douluo, Sea God Island is allegory for Taiwan because of how it's where people escape to when they're defeated in the mainland, and the Divine Realm/God Realm is allegory for Japan because everyone's super suppressed so they get all sorts of fetishes
