I know he's the father of Western civilization, if you want to stretch the definition of the always-nebulous term 'Western', and I know the 'verse has mukokuseki in spades, but... hmph. And why has he met Enkidu, but lost all of his post-Enkidu character development? Is Angra Mainyu a fangirl setting up a personalized timeline with events he doesn't like removed, with no regard for continuity so long as he can have his uber-seme Gil/uke-Enkidu?

 

In FSN, the Grail War summons heroes at their physical peak/most recognizable appearance: Gil might be pre-Endiku Gil, when he was at his strongest but also quite a bit of a dick. He conserved his post-Enidku memories but didn't live thought any of them.
