Check my thinking. We manipulate this irrational hatred of us, and Utako's grudge, and see if we can manipulate her or someone else into trying to kill us. We make sure they get caught, possibly use this life or death moment to justify The World being used and them waving it off as bloodline/Kyuubi/shenanigans, and suddenly have a traumatic past to justify wanting to learn self-defense and a woobie backstory to milk endlessly.

We need to find a way to goad Utako or some other person without our minders being suspicious, though. Something that a child wouldn't know was a bad thing to say to someone who lost people to the Kyuubi, maybe.

Do something to plant ideas in her head, maybe persistently follow her around to try and make her like us, get spurned, somehow convince her that she needs to kill us for the good of Konoha because these shinobi clearly can't see us for what we are?

Hey Furiko, a question. You said that high level ninja could 'sense' our Stand. Orochimaru noticed we were in control of our 'chakra', Sarutobi hasn't because we play nice around him. If Sarutobi started looking at us with a more objective gaze, would he realize we are apparently in control of a large amount of 'chakra' or will we really have to push his suspension of disbelief before he notices?

If it's literally just a matter of time until Sarutobi sees the writing on he wall, then keeping him ignorant is a much higher priority. Danzo and Orochimaru would probably keep their mouths shut for as long as it suits them, I don't think Sarutobi would be quite so complacent.

While it'd be nice to get clearance for practicing our true abilities, we may be best off just letting Owl save us instead of doing anything to help ourselves. If nothing else it'd reinforce the harmless image we currently have.

 

If he notices, in the absence of any indication that you are also malicious, he's likely to be overjoyed that you're going to be a prodigy. Prodigies are fun to teach! ;D He can't wait to see how well you do in the Academy.

I completely missed the implication first time around that Sarutobi may not allow us to be taught. At least not immediately. So even an attempt on our life wouldn't convince him to let us learn directly? Or, this being pre-Itachi, would he allow us to enroll unnaturally early? Either way he, at least, is not sold and we have to wait on official approval for some period of time.

Well.....drat. Hmm. I still think plan Make-Your-Own-Backstory has merits, but if we couldn't get the training we want, then all we'd do is isolate ourselves further and potentially feed the rumor mill, wouldn't we? And if we revealed The World we'd be gently but sternly told not to use it, if they think we have any control over it.

That'd be Sarutobi's official line at least. We may wheedle sympathy training out of some parties. And Danzo may straight up go, "Screw that," and go under Sarutobi's head, but that would be damn hard for Danzo.

Still.....tempting Danzo into sticking his neck out to far and arranging for Sarutobi to chop it off would spare a lot of grief....but Danzo is also the kind of person we could manipulate....decisions, decisions.

Of course, you'll need to adjust your tactics as you go along, but for now this plan will serve.
