Transformers actually do have a DNA analogue; it's called CNA, Cyber-Nucleic Acid. I called them 'living robots' for a reason, you know. They've also got nervous system analogues, as well, though how much of their thought occurs in them and how much occurs in their sparks (with the physical drives and processors simply acting as the spark's physical shell) is up for debate.
 
Regardless, Transformers are not 'simple' in their inner mental workings in the way a crab or worm is.

On another note...

Taylor Fact of the day: Weaver used a logical paradox to kill 8 monsters that were literally unkillable. She essentially divided by 0 and used it as a weapon.

What is it? i'm not up to that point but i don't mind spoilers.

I think it has something to do with causing Dragon to go insane and kill everyone.

Oh they all WISH it was Dragon. Nay i won't spoil it, cause while you will see it coming IN chapter, you also get to see something interesting first.
 
I can't stand reaching short updates, so I save up about 15 chapters and then read them in a bunch, I have a 12 chapter backlog. Looking forward to it.


Though I do feel the story has gotten MUCH weaker lately, too much time passes with too little acknowledgement, and not enough story.

Just 'Endbringer thread, Endbringer threat, Endbringer threat' with nothing in between, and even the fights not hugely fleshed out.

Fic Idea: Post-UBW, Zelretch notices the interdimensional shenanigans going on with some of the villainous factions from the Wormverse, and decides to send Rin to go and deal with it. Rin takes Shirou and Saber along with her. Hilarity ensues when Shirou meets the local capes.

Hilarity ensues when they find out that there's 2 other guys who are made of swords and both are rasist dicks.


Also:
Taylor just leveled up, seriously everything about her in the last chapter is just one long crowning moment of awesome that exceeds every other moment of awesome she's had. Put together.
She's acknowledge as an equal by the little girl who gutted Grey Boy like a bitch and is Eidolons evil equivalent.
Taylor has dethroned Chevalier (Mr. "Imma fight Behemoth while missing half of torso") for biggest Determinator moment. Twice over.
She effectively bitch slapped God.
She discovered a strategy that works against creature that is essentially Dr. Manhattan.
And finally, when she sees little miss Soul Harvester watching her she glad because it means if she dies she can still come back to kick ass.

Also: "You needed worthy opponents"

Eidolon's interlude was pretty swell, too.

Reminded me of the Deathstalker books, where MC has to chase the enemy all the way into the past, bleeding power all the way, only to have a final epic battle.

Then after all that he died alone and powerless, killed by a bunch of junkies who stole his boots, after.

It was pretty cool.

How much do we know of Bonesaw's backstory pre-slaughterhouse 9?
 
I don't think Bonesaw has much of a back-story before the Slaughterhouse 9. If I had to guess, I'd guess that she triggered during the incident with the Slaughterhouse 9, because her abilities seem like the kind of thing that'd pop up there and then.
 
Story idea: During the Undersider's first real meeting with Coil, after they gatecrashed the superhero's party, Taylor realizes that Coil almost definitely has supporters in the US Federal Government, because of how elite his soldiers are (and comes to the conclusion that they're almost certainly some sort of SpecOps unit). So, after he says that he can't give her what she asked for in good conscience (because it was what he was going to do anyway), she makes a second request:

To call on his contacts in the government to get all the charges against them dropped, so that the Undersiders can officially become an independent superhero team, like New Wave. He agrees to this, provided the rest of the Undersiders agree to it as well.

Hilarity ensues, after she talks them around. Grue's got his little sister to worry about (what'd happen to her if he's arrested?), Bitch is halfway there already with her crusade against animal abuse, Tattletale only became a villain because Coil made her an offer she couldn't refuse, and as for Regent? Can you imagine anything that'd piss his dad off more than becoming a hero?
 
Just finished reading through it and I only have three things to say.

1) I totally ship Taylor/Rachel .

2) Imp is by far one of the funniest characters in the story.

3) I found the depth of the world the author has made both vast and well thought out.
 
I will admit Taylor/Lisa would both be awesome and hilarious but i really can't see Skitter/Clockblocker for some reason.

I'm a proponent of Skitterpan, but I like Skittertale and Bug-Block as well.

Actually, most capes go well with Skitter.

I can even see a Skitter/Shadowstalker ship. It would be incredibly unhealthy, but Sophia's "the strong take what they want" attitude combined with Taylor's canon passivity out of costume could make an interesting relationship...

Of course, this is all a set up so she can be rescued from her abusive relationship by Amy/Lisa/Dennis.
